hey there! i was on the SPORE mascot community in 2011 and was a big fan of yours back then, and i've always been very curious. would you know if your original mascot Ploxl was the first official "mascot" posted to the website, or whether or not you popularized the idea? Or was there someone else who inspired you to make mascots? Sorry for the out-of-nowhere question, but it was always something I wanted to know for sure. Thank you for reading!
Sorry for the late reply but I donât use Tumblr often lol it was totally by chance I happened to check it. Anyways to answer your question I donât believe he was the first. I remember a while before I first made him there was a user named Pettamapossum who made Spot, who I think many people considered to be the âoriginalâ. I always loved axolotls as a kid and he was kindda a thing I doodled and I kindda saw a similarity to Spot and so eventually I made him in Spore and introduced him to the community. Youâd be surprised about how many ppl have reached out to me over the years because of Spore lol one even somehow found my phone number. Donât be afraid to reach out, I totally still have it downloaded and love the game altho I only play with mods but am always down to chat on Discord. TriloByte#8027 :)Â
