Teaser shows a graveyard and all of the flashes of images almost look like the cut ups that a serial killer would use for ransom notes.
It looks dark and foreboding, almost a haunted feel.
Persona 3 dealt with death and the importance of life
Persona 4 dealt with discovering your inner self and finding acceptance with who you are, or at the very least getting on the path to find that acceptance
Persona 5 dealt with the hardship of society, what it's willing to allow and ignore in order to keep a 'status quo'. Why bother trying to help others when staying where you are is more familiar?
What does this teaser hint at?
It should be known that every Persona game has an overarching mystery that looms over the narrative that tends to be connected to mysterious deaths. How they're presented and how low they hang in every arc of course depends on the game, but saying "oh a plot revolving around a serial killer doesn't make sense because Persona 4 was a murder mystery!" Na it still does, plus Persona 4 was a Murder mystery not chasing a killer that'd possibly leave notes.
Now my memory on Persona 1 and 2 are hazy, but P6 going this rout might be interesting.
Will we get to recruit Demons like P5? Or are we back to non SMT monster designs for enemies?
How does this new team get their persona?
Guess we'll see?

The second image is what I was referring to as a serial killer deal, but looking at it now it's definitely tying into the theme of identity that the series tends to use as a whole.
But the way everything is presented: the pointed hands, the grave/religious statue and the redacted way of hiding the protagonists(?) face? It really still gives me that rough feeling of solving a serial killer case.

I'll do a more in-depth coverage later once I'm at my computer, but here's quick bullet points based on the just uploaded Pre-order video.
- Game comes out in February
- New voice cast, as confirmed a while back by some of the OG voice actors. Seemingly except for Kanji? If that's not Matt Mercer, then the new VA is hitting a very close performance.
- Marie makes an appearance in the video, confirming that Golden's added content will be in Revival. I'm all here for that, personally! Golden had tons of extra moments that made the Investigation Team feel even closer knit and seeing the moments on a non portable console will be great!
- Speaking of seeing, the graphics! Oh my God they look beautiful! Full of vibrant colors! The models even look better than Reload's which feels weird to say? If you were worried about the game based on the teaser, don't be!
Shin Megami Tensei V - Battle -destruction-
So I was gonna hold off on sharing the news, but supposedly Persona 6 got some leaks?
I'll be for real with y'all I personally don't think it's time yet?
Persona 4's Remake will definitely be getting a more proper show off, and yeah P-Studio can and has been cooking on two different projects at the same time as before, but I firmly believe that Persona 4 getting it's remake is for the same reasons as Xenoblade getting all it's entries released on Switch: to ensure the games are all accessable and in recent memory prior to the new game coming out.
Yeah we're definitely getting Persona 6 at some point but I don't think this leak means it's getting close to release.
I'm choosing not to post the details of the leaks, even though what was shown gives us next to nothing to go on. Plus, with so many fan concepts for Persona 6 it's easy to claim that this artist's fan idea is a "leak". But of course I'm also not taking any risks beyond simply saying it's out there.
It's not like P-Studio hasn't been releasing games anyway, Metaphor was a great departure and the remakes are definitely good to show off the new talent's skills with the franchise.

Persona 5 Royal - Keep Your Faith
Given the New Year has already rung in Japan, seems Atlus has decided to reveal the 30th Anniversary Image.
Along with this reveal we have some teases of upcoming information to be dropped throughout 2026.
First is Persona 4 Rewind, unsurprisingly.
But the second is straight up a new game.
If you're still riding the Persona 5 train, then your assumption might be Persona 5 Arena. We have quite the large cast to fill a roster at this point.
But Persona 6 is more likely. Think about it, when Persona 5 finally released it was during a significant milestone for Persona as a series which you can easily note by simply booting up the PS3 original.
What if P6 dropped near the end of 2026?
It's unlikely, unfortunately. But a teaser is eminent.

Overwatch did a collab with Persona 5. I don't play OW, but I can just tell how phoned in the collab was by not having the skins make any sense with the characters wearing them. They don't look good in the OW style either.
Like yeah, it's cool P5 is still getting collaborations after like *checks notes* 9 years of the game existing. But even as a huge P5 fan, I'm kinda getting tired of seeing the horse still getting ridden.
I don't play P5X despite still watching the gameplay of it, and I'm just waiting on Persona 4's revamp to release, where I'm sure Joker will somehow also be thrown in as a secret boss again.
Persona 6 needs to come sooner man, I'm ready for it already.

I don’t think yusuke would throw the *first* punch, but I think there are some situations where ryuji would back down and yusuke would throw down. like, ryuji would argue back and forth and then try to leave, but yusuke would keep arguing until the other person takes a swing. “While I abhor the idea of senseless violence, certain people simply refuse to see reason”… is the kind of thing I think he’d say. remorseless lol. which would lead into ryuji being like “dude you just punched a guy out, I don’t think you get to say that.”

Game Awards Pre-Show starts soon. I don't expect any Persona announcements in the pre-show, but you never know with these things.
SEGA will apparently have an announcement at The Game Awards tonight. It might just be something Sonic related, but in the off-chance its info on our upcoming Persona 4 revamp I'll cover it here.
It's been, what...six years since I finished Thieves In Inaba? And while I did attempt to do another prompt based fic in the form of Chariot's Mystery (who's basic concept has been re-worked into a Final Fantasy 14 fic, sorry) I do want to try my hand at prompts again.
I haven't edited my rules at all, but I will say I won't do any prompts with Tatica characters (for now). I love 'em but I have a hard time finding their voices if that makes sense. And yeah, sure I'll try to include Wonder and his gang if you want me to try them out.
So Project Sekai has a Persona 5 Royal event going on!
For those not in the loop, Project Sekai is a Gacha Rhythm game featuring Vocaloids with a pretty good story and themes.
What's unique about this is that the event is Global, which doesn't normally happen from my understanding as the JP version of Sekai is several events ahead of the EN version.
