#20 _Torso, Latissimus dorsi (side notes)
The latissimum dorsi is that pretty large muscle that covers the lower half of your back. It starts low, on the pelvis, and goes up up up into the upper arm bone (humerus).
Since its central portion is not actual muscles and is super thin, from outside you can still see the muscle that lies behind: the sacrospinalis (which draws those two long columns alongside the vertebral column).
It’s shaped as a big triangle looking south, forming a very visible “V-shape” pointing towards the buttocks in very sexy men if well developed.
This muscle is also the one that forms the “back wall” of the armpits (while the front wall is formed by the pectoralis major). If you lift your arm up like Cullen in the above picture, you can easily feel it, even if you’re thin.
Its upper part covers the shoulder blades (also helping to keep them in place), and I just discovered that is why it’s so hard to see them in muscular figures. Another interesting distinction seen in fitted bodies: since this muscle attaches under the arm, when it’s thick enough it keeps the arms slightly away from the body.
The latissimum dorsi is mostly used to move the arm, especially to bring it back to the side of the body. It’s used in movements like pulling, climbing, rowing or swimming.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016)
It’s Orlesian Party time! Some self-indulgent Cullen sketches to take my mind off things. Just a different take on Cullen’s outfit for the Winter Palace. :)
At the beginning it was an old chest study, then I wanted to finish and do something with it :) Few years ago I made a fanart of Leliana and I never continued the series so here we are ^^

The 4 times Andy offered her comfort,
& the 1 time she refused to do the same for him.
Howl is officially the definition of goblincore/dragoncore
until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on.
