I'm VOX, a Vox fictive from Hazbin Hotel. Got my non-HH story but feel free to treat me like HH Vox. I love to have fun with it.

Some fun facts about me:

-I introduced TV to Hell! It was quite easy, being a demon with a fully functioning TV for a head. When I arrived I found mad scientists like Baxter and Pentious to recreate TV, using my own body as a reference. We first powered it up using my own body's electricity.

-the Vs are my close friends. I'm big on teamwork, unlike some people. Val and I are...dunno. friends with benefits perhaps? I'm aromantic myself, but I do see him as a close friend and I'm a bit possessive over him, although our relationship is very open. Vel and I are just friends. I initially made friends with her for my own gain, but we quickly became very close. I love sending death threats with her on Voxtagram :)

-I'm bisexual. It was a huge ass shock ending up in hell and realizing people were being gay all over the place. Had to join in, obviously.

My life as a human was very different to in HH, but I like the HH portrayal, because it makes my human life seem much more interesting.

In reality, it was drab and kind of depressing, slow and full of smaller 'sins' rather than bright and glamorous. I feel like any life can be made into a cool song though, even if my sins were based around finances.

I have a puppy (aka my land shark, shokwav) and this is exactly how he was. I luckily didn't have to deal with the worst part cause my host did, ha. But now I look after him and he still is going through training, can't leave the room without him screaming and crying. He's like your parrot but not as bad anymore. Anymore.

...VOX IS LIVE! #1

Alright guys. I'm going to be doing a series like I've seen others do such as @antleredhunter where I talk about stuff related to my canon and/or HH.

⚠️a disclaimer for some brief mentions of nsfw. Some things I will talk about here may be distasteful to you. Do what you want with that.

#1 is gonna be about something I've been thinking about over the past few days. The differences between HH and my canon is that in life I was a loan shark. Well, I had a 'proper' job too, that I used to accumulate money, and then I'd use that to loan to people. My proper job was related to news in some way. It wasn't being on television, but newspaper, if I remember correctly. But I was always interested in the switch from the papers to television, and I kept up with the 'news' (ha) when it came to new technology.

The two things I loved the most were cars, as they were used during WW2 (something I caught the tail end of) and television. I also loved the radio back then, actually.

I didn't have a cult and I didn't murder anyone - my 'sin' was financial and psychological damage. Of course there probably were a few people who ended up dead cause they couldn't pay up. But I didn't kill them...personally...it was inevitable though, but it wasnt good for me. How am I supposed to get my money if they're dead huh.

Anyway one fun thing I'd do is I'd scope out the households of people I was going to loan to, and if their wife was hot I'd wait till the guy was in crippling debt and then fuck his wife. I usually made them feel like it their idea to start an affair. I wasn't into them or anything - it was just psychological damage, although I won't deny it was fun. I got extra entertainment out of visiting the home and being introduced as a 'business partner' by the dad, who at that point would put up with plenty of shit I'd pull at their house. I'd sometimes 'accidently' kick over something to break it, chop off the leaves of their houseplants by saying the leaves were diseased and needed to be removed, while they watched, of course. I mostly preferred to get to know them to know what really would mess with them (the plant thing was because one guy really liked his prize dahlias or something)

Man that was fun...

But then I died. Rip. I can't remember exactly how I died except it was something quite mundane and it was an accident because I was too busy thinking. It might have been that I got hit by a car - which wasn't that common back then because cars were relatively slow. It could even have been MY car that hit me. Regardless, it was a stupid accident, and I don't think I died from it immediently. My best recollection is that I broke some bones and/or internal organ damage and ended up in hospital. I remember a few of my kids visiting me, my wife did as well, but didn't exactly seem worried about me being injured. I heard her arguing with someone but by then I was pretty out of it and then i remember thinking, bitterly, why did my favourite girlfriend not visit me because I thought she loved me. Bit of an oopsie daisy there...guess I died.

And about the TV head. I really loved game shows as a mortal. Kind of obsessed, actually. I really liked watching the people react in them too. The general aestethic entranced me too. So I think the TV head was because of that, a jab at how I loved technology but couldn't ever see the development of it again cause I was in Hell. However, it was fused with a shark head that poked out half the screen with the mouth open to reveal teeth. It was quite bad. I also had a lot more shark traits when I spawned initially that I later removed to make me look more personable and comforting. These included the shark head fused to the TV, of course, my shark tail, and a fin I had on my back. My spine also had sharp pointed tips (which made it hard to sleep on my back mind you) I also wore a tattered suit with my shark traits poking out. It was a mess.

I'll talk about how I climbed my way to overlord in a future post. It's a whole story by itself. Right now I'll talk about how I modified my body over time. It started with the shark skull fused to my tv. Baxter and Pentious, who were friends at the time, alongside some other scientists, figured out how to remove my tv head and made a replica of it to put on my neck, that had no shark bones mixed in. They figured out ways to remove my tail too, as well as file down my spine spikes and my claws, which sort of had layers of teeth coming out of them.

It would be for nought because I found out later my tail and everything would just grow back, and i could sort of make them disappear if I focused. These days I can appear human looking if I focus enough, and when I lose my composure my limbs start bending and shark teeth start growing on my screen. Gay. It also happens when I contract. I do love sharks so I've embraced being sharklike later on, and these days I let loose once in a while.

Anyway - I'm done here. There's lots more to talk about that I will in future posts. For now, Vox out!

As much as I want to drop my memories from my canon, I simply can't muster up the courage to do so. Some part of me wants to beat myself up for being weird and 'delusional', that I'm just faking everything inorder to cope with my already fucked up life!! (⁠ ⁠≧⁠Д⁠≦⁠)

But I'm trying to self-soothe now for the sake of my sanity... Comforting myself that it's not bad or a sin to be like this and that I can put effort into becoming a good person just like my canon self is currently doing (in my canon that is, no comment about the amazon series).

Anyways— that's all for my Ted talk!! I hope everyone is doing well and stay positive! YOU MATTER so don't forget that!!

Oof. I feel that. Mirai (the old host and the person im an alter of) used to feel that a lot. He went to tons of therapy and told his therapist about it how he felt delusional and schizophrenic and even asked the therapist to try to diagnose him with something. The therapist said that he wasn't gonna because he wasn't mad or insane, and had thought things through. Mirai also used to tell the therapist he thought he was just coping from his fucked up 'real life'.

The advice we got and follow is that instead of trying to box ourselves we should instead think what is most useful to us. So, would it be more usual to treat your experiences as charlie as just like memories other people have (aka not try to say you're delusional) or would it be more useful to approach from a traumagenic standpoint (or a coping one)?

If it's more useful to treat your life as charlie and identity as charlie as just memories, not try to spin the delusional route, then there isn't a reason to try to spin it that way. At the end of the day you live for yourself. If it's more useful to you to try to analyse why you 'say you're charlie to cope', do that. But if it ain't- there ain't a reason to do it just because it's considered normal in society. Lots of things are considered normal in society that shouldn't be after all.

Of course Charlie. Yeah I would advise you talk to your therapist too about this - I do that with mine all the time he knows literally everything about me being Vox and shit. Have you talked about fictionkin stuff with them at all? (Also feel free to reply in discord dms instead of post)

Might write bout this later but I have a lot that I've resolved just by being Vox- not my choice as such, but it was my host's to split and make an alter for his ambitious side (me). One thing is me being bisexual ( - I (or rather mirai) have a lot of internalised homophobia and even tho I (mirai) have known I wasn't straight for a while it's still hard to...stomach, I guess. But as Vox I really just don't give a shit about it. I mean, I am seen to be dating Val and all. I've definetly learnt I much prefer gender nonconforming guys which Val is. Anyways it's nice to be confident in my sexuality (or more so).

I also openly was into Alastor in HH which I'm not irl, not like with Val anyway. Like the concept of antagonising an arch enemy is fun for me but I'm not into Alastor. Still, it's nice to have been in HH just cause it's gay lol.

❝ Irony ❞

Salutations folks! I know it’s been quite a bit since I have done a full-scale broadcast and my, my, how I have missed it! This life is so very hectic and I’m a very busy man! Good to be back on the air.

Today I will be touching on a lighter topic, perhaps even funny, so, no need for warnings this go around! If you can’t tell I’m in quite a good mood, so, I suppose this is a rather cheerful broadcast. I may be a little more “rambley” than usual due to my good mood, so I do apologize for that, ha!

Anywho! Irony. Oh what a fun concept! Something that directly contradicts what an individual is saying or experiencing- which is what this broadcast will mostly focus on.

Now I regard my identity as Alastor as something I experienced in past lives and this life. Reincarnation, in a sense, I suppose, if you want to get into the semantics and labels. With that, I experience memories. Glimpses of things, full and entire memories, dreams, all of those. I will go more into those at a later date. Today, we’re going to talk about comparisons.

Namely, I’m mostly going to be comparing my memories and my life now. And that’s where the irony comes in. So many things now in this life reflect my old lives, but in the most cruel- and hilarious- of ways.

You see, I did die similarly how the show portrayed. However I didn’t died directly after the shot. I was torn apart by hunting dogs afterwards. In hell, I had a very strong aversion to dogs, or anything similar to them. And to some degree I still do. But now- here, in this life? I’m a dog trainer. How awfully funny is that? I have learned to get over my aversion of dogs, but it still lingers in the back of my mind.

But that’s not the only thing, oh no. You see, I have memories of not being able to swim and despising the ocean and anything in it. However in this life, I was a professional swimmer in my youth and have worked at an aquarium.

There are also other, small things. The irony of being a social media manager in this life. Of being a digital artist of all things, using technology and screens to my benefit. It’s funny how life can play those cruel little jokes.

But I’m also thankful for this life. You see, I am still in the South, and once again, New Orleans has returned to me. I used to live and work in it, and now I live within driving distance. I take day trips as much as possible. I still collect and harvest dead things, mostly roadkill- and this helps with my bloodlust. I still have a voice that I can project, speak, and sing with, and I’ve been told I would be a wonderful radio host or.. eugh, podcaster. So there are things that I do enjoy, do not worry.

I suppose that’s all? Not much else to speak about tonight. I hope to be posting more soon, but time will tell. I hope you all are enjoying the cold weather that this winter is bringing us! That’s all from me for now.
