Argument final reflection
This essay was a fun one for me to write because it hit close to home. At first, I was going to write about how modern day doctors are over prescribing medications and explain how they benefit greatly from drug companies. As I was writing the introduction paragraph for that topic, I was writing about how people glorifying mental illnesses over social media might be a reason for over prescribing, because more patients would seek treatment. It was then I realized that I would have a much better time writing about how over-romanticizing mental illnesses over social media is a problem in todayās society and it needs to be recognized. The reason I went to this was because my brother fell victim to something like that and it was a tough situation for my family and I. Iāve never written a paper so passionately in my life because Iāve never cared as much about a topic before. I always struggled with argument essays, so when this one was a breeze to me, I felt satisfied with myself. I didnāt really do much brain storming with this; the first day I started writing it, I just let my words flow out through my fingers onto the document and then organized everything once it was complete. A challenge I had with this essay was not having any previous feedback from either my peers or my instructor. I still felt confident with my work when I turned it in, so hopefully time spent on this essay paid off.Ā
