Obnoxious Crisscolfering from delusional ‘fans’ is most likely the reason Darren and Chris aren’t friends anymore. They distanced themselves from each other because they knew merely being within a two-mile radius of each other outside of work would add fuel to the vile hatred spewed at their significant others.
Innocent shipping is FINE (and a good portion of the Crisscolfer fandom are lovely, respectful, creative people) but for the last decade, the extremists have taken things to a whole new level and it’s quite frankly SUCH a shame that two young colleagues with so much in common couldn’t sustain a friendship because of the pressures and evil of emotionally unstable, physically unfulfilled and delusional bullies online.
Since we’re all speculating, I figured I’d make a timeline of all the evidence we have for a breakup between our least favorite couple since Joey and Rachel.
I’ve included specific dates and web link receipts so you can check everything out for yourself and make up your own mind, and may update this in the future if we get anything new!
June 18: Taylor attends Arctic Monkeys’ concert in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee during the third leg of the TBHC tour. She gushes about the performance the next morning on Instagram. This is the final time we know for certain that Alex and Taylor were together in person.
June 22: Taylor posts a video on Instagram Stories from Alex’ kitchen in which she suggests she is ‘missing’ someone. It is likely to be Alex, as he has just arrived in Europe for the fourth leg of the TBHC tour. He will be with the band in Europe for just under four weeks.
June 25: Someone claims on Twitter that Alex left a club in Berlin, Germany with a blonde woman. This cannot be Taylor, as she posts an Instagram story the same day from her living room in Los Angeles listening to Billy Joel. Note: these tweets have since been deleted and I can’t find screenshots of them anywhere, so this information could be ill-founded hearsay and should be taken with a grain of salt.
July 3: Taylor posts her final picture on Instagram before a month-long hiatus from social media. It’s simply a selfie from Alex’ bedroom showing off her new hair color. She will not return to Instagram until July 31. In the comments section, Katie Cook (leatherbondagetrackie) tells her she misses her and Taylor says she is looking forward to them meeting up in New York at the end of the month as the band have two dates and a television appearance in the state.
July 13: Arctic Monkeys wrap the fourth leg of their tour in Europe and are able to return home. Taylor is still completely absent from social media; however we do know that she was in Los Angeles during AM’s short tour break due to the location of a photoshoot on July 17. We also know that the band were in Los Angeles to shoot parts of a music video for ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ (the only receipt I have for that is Alex’ be-gone facial hair).
July 23: Arctic Monkeys release their new music video for the track ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’. Fans begin to speculate across social media that Alex and Taylor have broken up, as in certain frames it appears that the tattoo of her name on his arm is missing (check out 2:04, for example). Later tour dates reveal that the tattoo is still in tact, but some have suggested that the frames appear to have been edited deliberately to blur the tattoo.
July 23: Arctic Monkeys return to work and perform on Stephen Colbert’s late show, with Alex debuting his new shaved head. Fans joke that the last time Alex debuted a drastic haircut he had just broken up from his long-term girlfriend Alexa Chung adding fuel to the early suggestion that a breakup has occurred.
July 24 – July 25: Arctic Monkeys perform two tour dates in New York City – with most of their social entourage joining them, including Katie (see July 3) and Breana. Taylor does not attend, and is still absent from social media. This rings alarm bells and is perhaps one of the greater pieces of evidence we have of a break up, as Taylor has a lot of personal connections to the state (having lived there for many years) that would make a trip to support the band even more poignant/worthwhile. In addition, she had previously told Katie she had every intention of attending (see July 3).
July 31: Taylor returns to Instagram to post about the dog she is fostering, Adam. She makes an interesting comment that the timing of Adam being brought into her life was ‘utterly magical’. The suggestion one might take from this was that she was having a very difficult time, made better by his arrival.
August 1: Taylor does a photoshoot with photographer Jennifer Stenglein and breaks down crying mid-shoot. In an Instagram post, Jennifer describes how during photography there are beautiful moments where you listen to a human ‘feel’ and you simply stand and wait for them to smile again. Taylor re-posts the photo with Jennifer’s caption. In the comment section, Taylor’s friend Heidi tells her there is ‘beauty in pain’ whilst Katie Cook simply offers a heart and crying emoji.
August 8: Taylor goes on a solo road trip with her dog across California, where she later says in a post that she has enjoyed rediscovering herself and her own company. She returns to Los Angeles by around August 16, where various posts about deers in her back garden suggest she is still living in Alex’ house.
August 14: Arctic Monkeys complete a show in Budapest before a three-week hiatus from the tour that will resume in Manchester on September 6. Alex is pictured in London on various occasions by fans during this period (this one’s a personal favourite), clearly indicating that he did not return home to Taylor in Los Angeles. In addition, Taylor is fairly active on her Instagram stories during this period but does not once mention or throw reference to Alex being around her – an unusual approach given Taylor was previously quite comfortable with posting about their relationship online.
August 22: Fans discover that Taylor has a public playlist on her Spotify account named ‘Ouchie my Heart’ that consists of songs about heartbreak.
September 7: Taylor posts an Instagram story from Alex’ bathroom where she videos empty wardrobe space suggesting that someone is moving out of the home. She also posts a photo on Instagram of some old photo booth prints with her and Alex’ mutual friend Nader Kheirbeck (perhaps suggesting she was going through old belongings in a move out of the home?). She makes an interesting comment about how they should start a band, though they have ‘no singer.’ The kids might call that shade.
September 8: Taylor announces that she has just bought herself a new green truck. Someone suggested on Instagram that she and Alex had previously been driving the same car whilst living together in Los Angeles, as both were seen in the drivers’ seat on various social media posts – however this may be inaccurate information.
September 9: Taylor spends her thirty-first birthday in Los Angeles with her friends Adam Secore and Mia Latter – the former of whom posts a photo of her looking particularly downcast whilst wishing her a happy birthday on his own Instagram story. It is worth noting that no one in the AM social entourage wishes her a happy birthday over public social media, and Arctic Monkeys don’t give her a shoutout during their show at London’s O2 Arena (something Alex had previously done for her during the EYCTE tour, as well as for Arielle on two separate birthdays during the SIAS & AM tours). In addition, it is discovered that Cam Avery has unfollowed Taylor on Instagram.
Anyway that’s what you missed on Glee. Any evidence I’ve missed? Hit me up!
A sultry dare. It was barely a whisper, trailing softly between silky kisses.
His head dropped against the back of the couch with an audible grimace, the soft amber hues of the setting sun spilling across his pale complexion. You stifled a laugh with a well-meaning pout, lifting a finger to trace the grainy underside of his jaw.
You hadn’t expected him to indulge you, but you were feeling particularly impish.
‘Why not?’
If you were one of the guys, he’d have made an obnoxious self-deprecating remark. Instead, his expression remained playfully contorted as he brought a hand to his unkempt hair, tensing lightly as he shrugged an offhand response. ‘Embarrassing.’
‘Please?’
You leaned in with a smirk, settling closer to his chest in the dip of his denim-clad lap to replace your feather-light graze on his jaw with your lips. He smelled like the inside of his car after a day’s filming out in Ventura – leather seats, clean-cotton, Chipotle.
He hummed with a mischievous smile beneath you, turning in to press his lips to your ear. You shivered in anticipation.
