In a world filled with madness, a few good thoughts comes a long way. | This blog is owned by four people: R, L, Q, & S Inspired by the television show One Tree HIll, every September 5th, we meet up and write our predictions for the upcoming year. It could be about anything from our own life to predictions for our friends. After we write our predictions under read more, we may not look at it until the following year. Along the way, we will write about the sweet, simple serendipity that life has kindly bestowed upon us.

L’s Predictions || 2015/2016 Edition

It’s unfortunate that I’ve had to do this year’s predictions for 2016 so late, life’s really been catching up with me. No matter how late it is, i’ve still got plenty of predictions for myself. The first would be my beautiful car, I think he shall also be named Butabi, because I’m such a Night at The Roxbury freak y’know? This’ll be a hard year I feel like, because of new things happening in all of our lives. I’m not sure i’ll be able to keep up with everything, but I have high hopes that this will be the year I actually meet that person just for me. I’m not sure I’ve ever predicted that for myself, but there it is. School will be going great, and no matter what I won’t stop working hard to be able to stay best friends with you all and work hard toward a good future.

Q (Quincy)

I see nothing but amazing things for you, I have for years but this year your work ethic and ability to shine will just be through the roof. No matter what I can always count on you to keep me included and be an amazing friend, and I don’t see that changing in the future for us. You’ll be driving even further, maybe even a road trip?? You’re going to continue to grow at VPAC too and I couldn’t be prouder of that, and of how well you’re doing at Pierce and how much closer you’ll be to being an EMT.

R (Riselle)

You and John girl, do I see a proposal maybe? I’m kidding lol but there’s no doubt in my mind that you too are definitely heading in that direction. I know this year it’ll be hard to balance a friendship with relationships and so much going on in our lives but no matter what we’ll always have each other and just continue to grow. You’re going to be doing so amazing at your new job at CSUN, and hell you’ll probably find an even better one come summertime. You are talented and it definitely shows, so I have zero doubts about you landing an amazing job young lady.

S (Sam)

I’m hoping this year we’ll be able to hang out and see each other more honestly, it’s hard not having you around to give me the honest truth and just good advice in general. Your friendship with me will grow I hope, and the relationship you’re in will make you happy. Your path to your career will only continue to strengthen and grow and the balance between your happiness and the hard work you put in will never falter. You’ve always been very good at maintaining both a great social life and work ethic, and that’ll continue to inspire me even a year from now. Still in Irvine, but I hope you’ll hurry back to us soon.

Eeyore is just one of those characters that you wanna scoop up and hug forever.

One awesome thing about Eeyore is that even though he is basically clinically depressed, he still gets invited to participate in adventures and shenanigans with all of his friends. And they never expect him to pretend to feel happy, they just love him anyway, and they never leave him behind or ask him to change.

And he does feel happy, though. He can be happy. He just doesn’t show it as much as the others do. There was a whole episode about that - Piglet sees him sitting on a hilltop and thinks he’s sadder than usual, and does all he can to cheer him up. Nothing works and the next day he’s back on the hill, and Piglet apologizes because he thinks in trying to help, he just made him sad again and ”I don’t come here when I’m sad. I come up here because I’m happy.”

There’s just something about that…
