hello :) please read under the cut if you’re familiar with my blog.
my name is rhiannon, or rhia. ive had this tumblr account for just under 1 month. while my time here has been short-lived, i greatly appreciate the community i have garnered here. your support towards my two work here has brought me abundance and quiet joy.
regretfully, i must inform you of a decision i have made to better my own mental stability. please, read at your own discretion. i wont get too gory or descriptive, but i will issue a content warning for self-harm and disordered eating.
on july 8th, i relapsed. something extremely disappointing happened within my personal life, and it was too much for me to handle. unfortunately, my addiction to harming myself has come back full swing. i am doing a complete social media dump, which will include deleting tumblr, tiktok, twitter, and my personal instagram. i have been seeing a psychiatrist to help resolve this issue, and she suggested i try residential treatment, as i have also been battling an ED (this is not new — i have had disordered eating habits since i was a girl. however, this illness has only served to continue my destructive efforts).
i will NOT be deleting this account, simply abandoning it for the time being.
i am now going to take a moment to redirect you to a very good friend of mine. his name is victoria, or tori. i have known her since 2018, when they were my first follower on musical.ly. we were both kids with unguided internet access. during 2020, we made our first discord accounts, and became true friends.
despite being hundreds of miles apart, vic has helped me overcome points in my life that i did not think i would survive. they’re a wonderful soul with intelligent, well-articulated ideals, a strong moral compass, and an unmatched sense of integrity.
just a week ago, i begged tori to join yellowjackets tumblr to take my place. not only do i want her here for selfish reasons (hehe), but i feel as though he could contribute to this community in every sense of the word.

Both Shauna and Jeff committed the same wrongdoing, but Shauna was the only one punished for it, and the only one who was called out about being a two faced liar and the one who had to bury their child in the snow by herself, while Jeff was rewarded with a wife, a kid and the furniture store from the family of the girl he cheated on.
And the moment he hits a snag, he robs her only friends and retraumatizes her with no remorse, and then whines to his teenage daughter like a child about how lonely and sad he is.
And the worst part is that now that his wife is going off the rails, he gets to look like the “good parent” and abandon her after talking shit about her to random strangers (funny how he grovels and kisses the asses of men like Kevyn or the furniture guys but can’t give his wife a genuine apology 🤔)
He just doesn’t care, and that’s the worst part. Shauna’s misery doesn’t bother him until it’s inconvenient to him. She can be miserable and depressed all she wants, as long as she’s washing his underwear and cooking him meals. But the moment he realizes that she’s going off the deep end, it’s too much for him to handle.
He reminds me of Bear from obsession in that way. You can claim to love someone all you want but if their misery doesn’t bother you until it affects your life than you don’t really love that person.

really hope they get into the nitty gritty of the yellowjackets’ various relationships with food post rescue. like when does tai decide to become a vegetarian? how have their pallets changed over the months they were out there? will some of them develop EDs due to the drastic change in food abundance? will a few of them struggle to eat at all for a while, because they’ve come to associate food security with a price tag of death and suffering? and especially since they’re gonna be coming back to a world where y2k ‘nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’ & diet culture is about to explode. like that’s gotta be a double mindfuck on top of everything else, to see millions of people idolize the physical state you were in while you were starving to the point of eating your friends.
