A light chuckle escaped him as he took the offered beverage, unscrewing the cap and taking a long drink.The brunette had certainly underestimated how fast the blonde actually was and, when he was able to properly wield a pair of his blades, he would be a wonder on the battlefield.
“And no one got stabbed either. Although I will teach you how to properly shift your weight so you do not go spinning across the field.” he replied with a teasing smile as he screwed the cap back on and looking towards the campsite.
“We may as well head back lest we are placed in a position of testing these out.
“Yeah, that’s probably for the best.” Prompto let out a laugh. “It is a bit different, having to hold myself like you do instead of how I normally do- if that makes any sense to you.”
He understood, at least, that he had to hold his weight a certain way to keep himself steady from recoil, whilst Ignis seemed a lot more light on his feet, darting here and there during their fights.
Speaking of- “And yeah, best to get back before dark, eh Iggy?” He gave a little nervous chuckle, rocking back on his heels for a moment before taking a few steps towards the camp. “So what’s on the menu for tonight, Iggy?”

Chuckling as they walked but also keeping his eyes and ears open for anything abnormal, he kept his grip tight on the gun. He may not have been as skilled as Prompto but he was confident at least in what he did know.
“Well, I was thinking that I could prepare something different than usual. Of course, if I told you I’d have to kill you.” He teased, a small grin on his face as he stepped over some fallen branches. The faint glow of the symbols carved into the stone not far ahead caused some of his unease to dissipate, although the fact that his ears picked up on distant cackling made it rise again.

Prompto decided to go on some sightseeing in Altissia while they all still had a few days free before the wedding. The blond enjoyed the architectural details of the building, the paintings in some of the museums that he went and took some pictures. However he felt like something was missing. Even though he took some pictures with strangers in them, they felt empty to him.
I probably need to find one of the three, though the blond as he reviewed the photos. As if the Astrals heard his plea, Prompto noticed Ignis leaning against the rails and looking at something down below.
“Mind if I join you?”
The brunette drummed his fingers on the metal rails, shifting his weight as he scanned the crowd below. He had hoped he had kept his nervousness hidden; not that he wasn’t happy for his King. A wedding was a joyous occasion; usually anyway. It was just...something felt off. Like there was something important he was missing and it made him uneasy.
Head turning towards the source of the voice, he blinked and smiled slightly. “Not at all.”

He leaned against the stove, trying to think and focus less on the hunger that was clawing at his stomach. A cold sweat broke over his forehead as he tried to clear his suddenly foggy mind.Tongue absentmindedly running across the edge of a elongated fang caused Ignis to freeze in shock; a cold shiver running up his spine before it changed to a harsh cramp and he gasped as he fell to his knees in front of the machine. He knew that feeling; knew exactly what it was and also knew that he was essentially a danger to everyone present until he procured blood. Luckily Noctis and Gladio weren’t around at the moment, something about trying to see if they could fish after dark, that only left…Something touched his shoulder (a hand?) and the thin line of his rapidly deteriorating control broke. Head snapping up to reveal glowing green eyes and white fangs, he surged upward and buried said fangs in the exposed neck of whatever had touched him, caught in the grips of blood-starved hunger.
“As you are important to me.” he replied quietly, his attention was gratefully diverted by the arrival of the last two members of their group and he was thankful for it lest he say something stupid. Judging by how sarcastic the Shield was being and the irritated grumbling that was their Prince’s voice, he couldn’t help the small smile that crossed his lips.
Turning the heat off on the stove, he spent the next few minutes combining the ingredients from the pot and pans onto plates. The rice first followed by some sauce and finally topping the whole thing with the meat.
Gathering the plates in his hands, he made his way over to the foldout table and set them down with a familiar prideful strut.
“Bon appetit.”

The brunette stared at the MT with a mixture of suspicion and confusion. Normally his daggers would’ve made short work of the creature but…something about it seemed different than the rest. Plus the fact that it had spoken…
“…You are unable to repair yourself?” Ignis wasn’t exactly keen on approaching the robotic soldier unless he absolutely had to.
“I’d rather if you didn’t scrap me for parts.”
A slender brow lifted at the statement. Who would think that on a run through Zegnautus Keep, Ignis would run into a copy of, well…
Himself.
Only this one looked as if it had been in a battle; a damaged eye and scratches on it’s face. It also looked aged…was there even a way to make such a thing happen?“I’d rather you do not attack me so I would not have to.” he replied, keeping his eyes trained on his copy while taking a cautious step forward.

“Not yet it would seem.” It was the constant struggle that vampires had to go through; that line between control and chaos. He blinked as he was suddenly wrapped in a hug; it was like the blonde was suddenly expecting him to disappear. Ignis could practically smell the worry radiating off the gunner and it made his chest ache; he silently swore to himself that he would pay more attention to his feedings as to not create that worry again.
“On the contrary, it did not taste weird at all.” His blood tasted amazing actually; like the finest wine. But he would probably make the young man uncomfortable so he didn’t say that last part.
Prompto frowned, puffing out his cheeks as he smacked the other’s chest. “With that attitude maybe!” He growled out, looking up at Ignis. “If you accept it as an inevitability then of course it will happen! That part of your nature that would make you a killer…as long as you fight it with every ounce of who you are, it will never happen. So stop talking like that!” He growled out, pulling away with an annoyed sigh.
“Oh that’s…that’s good.” Honestly, the youth had been worried that Ignis would be able to taste he wasn’t human but if not then there was nothing to worry about. “Cause, you know, I know how picky you are. And…I meant it. If we’re in a tough spot I don’t mind tiding you over.”
Green eyes flickered brightly for a moment and he held back the angry retort that had surged up; It would do no good to have two attack’s in a row this night. “I-nevermind.” He quickly turned back to the food, features schooled into an almost focused mask. Hearing the blonde’s next words however caused that mask to fall and his gaze to snap up and over increduosly, as if Prompto had grown two heads. ‘Did he just…?’
The gut response was to immediately decline, to shout at the blonde just how dangerous it was to offer blood and how he must be out of his mind to ask such a thing. But at the same time…seeing the worry in those blue eyes, the vehemence in which he had spoken previously…
“I…Allow me some time to think about it. Please Prompto.” His gaze pleaded for the blonde to understand; it was a very big step for Ignis since he had never really considered the use of another for such things.

The corners of his lips curled up in a small smile as he stirred the pot with the rice inside it.
“How fortunate for all of us.” he responded dryly. At least the warrior would be the one to be on the receiving end of their liege’s irritation.
“I am.” He added, leaving the rice to cook while he checked on the cooking meat. Noticing the worried look he tried to smile reassuringly. “I’m alright, Prompto. Truly. Although I will never cease to apologize for my behavior towards you tonight.”
“Well they’re bound and determined. I figured I could use the time to work on my nature shots.” He grinned, holding up his camera with pride before looking towards the fire for a moment.
Then he looked back to Ignis and let out a sigh, nodding his head. “That’s a relief. You looked like you were in some serious pain. I…I don’t want to see you like that again Iggy. I care about you.” He muttered the last bit under his breath, tucking a loose strand of hair behind his ear.
“Yes…that’s why we are usually careful to keep our hunger sated so it doesn’t get to that point. But alas…I clearly failed tonight.” The vampire gave a weak smile as he turned the heat down on the rice, added some spices and let it simmer.
His head turned towards Prompto; thanks to his vampiric senses he had heard his friend’s words and a small frown spread across his face. “I care about you too, Prompto. When I realized…who’s blood I had taken I…” Ignis looked down for a few moments, fingers digging into the smooth surface for a few moments, guilt and shame evident in his body language. “I feared I had become a murderer.”
