The Sharpie crew were introduced to this impressive Future Elements Project over the weekend at the 12th Breakin' Convention, held at Sadler's Wells. This short piece was put together by talented 13-16 year olds who worked with professional Hip Hop artists for six days over the February half term. They wrote the lyrics and beats, choreographed the routines, created the artwork and shot their very own music video, the result is Unsocial Media. We think it's pretty dope.
Metallic monograms. A wedding day is probably the closest most couples get to feeling like royalty. As such, for our friends' upcoming nuptials it seemed fitting to design a monogram for the lucky couple. Inspired by the luxurious metallics of Art Deco designs, we feel the final result has an elegance and timelessness which reflects them perfectly.
We've had an exciting time recently working with the lovely team at JAPR London to design their London Fashion Week invitations. We're looking forward to visiting their showroom at Somerset House in a couple of weeks, and checking out the latest pieces from their talented jewellery designers.

Last Thursday we headed down to Beach London to see the latest exhibition of drawings from Rob Lowe, aka Supermundane. Here are a few pictures from the launch. The exhibition runs until the end of August, so if you get chance, pop down. You could even treat yourself to some new artwork as the drawings are all for sale. Diarist photographer Bob Mazzer took hundreds of portraits as he travelled through London's underground in the 1980s. Using a Leica M4 camera, his photos paint a wonderful picture of life on the underground – alive with humour and humanity. Here are a few snaps from his brilliant exhibition, (complete with seating from the tube on which to sit and admire his work). Check out his show which runs until Sunday 13 July 2014 at the Howard Griffin Gallery, 189 Shoreditch High Street, London.
We're fascinated by Detroit – particularly by its rich musical heritage. Detroit's own Theo Parrish has long been one of our favourite DJs and producers, and his latest record is a lovely little roller that pays homage to some nifty footwork. The video features Theo himself dancing in the Detroit streets, along with some of his dextrous compadres.
A bit late to the party on this one, but loving House of Hackney's latest Palmeral collection. Not just for interiors, this awesome print comes in a range of clothes, swimwear, ceramics, stationery and cosmetics bags. From collaborations with Puma to capsule collections with ASOS, they've had a busy year working with fashion photographers like Tung Walsh, Alex Sainsbury and David Dunan. If you fancy some 70's inspired palm leaf action this summer, get yourself down to their shop on Shoreditch High Street or their permanent space on the 4th floor at Liberty.

Finally managed to check out Henri Matisse, The Cut-outs at the Tate Modern – an amazing exhibition of his work and insight into this period of his career. When ill health prevented Matisse from painting, he chose to cut out painted paper and make art through this new medium. As well as crafting his own artworks, he was commissioned to create a variety of work from magazine covers for Verve magazine (see example in the gallery above) to stained glass windows. There's definitely something to be said for seeing his work in person and the vibrant colours he used. The cut-outs have much more impact than a printed replica and the videos illustrate how he masterminded his work with the help of assistants. If you're in need of some artistic inspiration, this is the place. The exhibition runs until September – don't miss it.

Do what you love, love what you do.
We're always keen to learn and meet like-minded people, so we jumped at the chance to attend Make Good festival in London last week. With a pop-up market showcasing the work of over 200 graduates from the School for Creative Startups, it also delivered a healthy dose of practicals via a series of inspiring and insightful talks on the main stage. Pictured below, Tatty Devine's co-founder Rosie Wolfenden in conversation with Mark Dolan discussing the creation of her successful jewellery business and lessons learnt along the way.
