ATLANTIC AVE ON FILM: I’ve traveled on Atlantic Ave countless times in my life. Whether it’s been on foot, by board, or by car. The thoroughfare has been a pivotal part of my experiences since I could remember, the same goes for other countless natives of this restless city. Since the street runs from Brooklyn Heights to Jamaica, Queens, I wanted to document some of the street during this period of gentrification in New York City. It’s bittersweet but capturing these photos is the best way I know to pay respects to the environment a lot of us once knew. [SEPT 2025]

NOSTRAND & FULTON ON FILM: I’ve spent a lot of time on this intersection as well as over by Bedford too. And it’s so bittersweet to be here today. On one hand, i’m old enough to remember and appreciate what has been here and at the same time, I can’t help but acknowledge the changes. Sure, they always sold pizza there but that KFC? is gone. that Golden Crust? is gone. That Walgreens? wasn’t always there but the VIM is still going strong! These photos are a capsule and a checkpoint for me. Let me know if you like or recognize any of these locations.
