intro!

hi i’m shay! welcome to my studyblr!

i’ve wanted to be a doctor since i was 17, but was too scared for all the student debt i would acquire after 13 years of school. i’m not your typical 4.0 student, but i want this to be a place to show my growth.

i’m going into premed psychology- hopefully this spring! i’m saving up for a car at my current job, but once i have it i plan to work as an STNA. i’m super excited to get some clinical hours and earn money doing something i like. eventually i’ll become a psychiatrist with a specialty in addiction medicine.

some of my hobbies include: drawing, painting, walking, sims 4, reading, music, and tiktok.

i like to read self-help books and classics. i’m open to book recommendations if you want to share. dm me for my goodreads.

i plan to take a few painting classes in college, so i’m super excited about that!

update!

i’m almost done with this spring semester!

i’m not doing the best right now to be honest. my lowest grade is a c+ and it’s driving me insane. i technically have time to bring it up to at least a b-, but it’s going to be hard. if anyone has good tips for studying general chemistry, i would love to know!

i have officially declared my major to nursing! at my college, you first have to obtain your adn to get your bsn, so that’s my plan! i’m going to do as many pre-med prerequisites as i can also, but i’m not against taking a couple post-bacc years. i may take some gap years between medical school and nursing school, but i’m still deciding.

i’m so excited for this summer semester!

this summer i’m taking phlebotomy, ekg/ecg, sociology, and fine arts. sociology and fine arts are my first online classes - kinda. i went to college classes in high school for both college and high school credit. i had one online class then, but i never actually tried to do it. this will be the first time i’m - actually - going to do it… i feel really nervous for my online classes, but excited for my in-person classes! i’ll be a certified phlebotomist and ekg technician by the end of summer!
