2026 HERE WE GO
i honestly can't believe people steal your photos?? do people actually take credit for ur work?? what arseholes Im sorry that must be so annoying for u xx ur photography is amazing btw
they dont take credit, they just dont credit, or they stupidly think that because the photo is on the internet that that means they can just repost it/re-edit it without my permission.
describe matty in 5 words
polite, gentleman, intelligent, compassionate, honest
u always say that u worked really really hard to get where u are but like what kind of stuff did that involve? just loads of practice or? i was wondering if u could elaborate a bit xx
i worked for free shooting gigs for many years, outside of my fulltime job. late nights, early mornings for my paying job. it’s tough but it wasn’t too tough for me because i’m passionate about what i do
hoolyyy shittt your photography is amazing. absolutely LOVE it. i also love how honest you are about everything and your integrity too. u seem like u have such a cool personality. i hope i can meet you one day!!! i hope to become a photographer too x
thank you! that’s super nice. everyone is a photographer these days so i’m sure you can be too x
why do u use 2 cameras when shooting gigs?
i don’t anymore. it got annoying carrying two bodies around, but i used to so that i could have one with my everyday lens and the other for my zoom lens
how does one practice shooting bands? how did you practice before u got employed?/
one practices by shooting as many gigs as you can. you will have to work for free for a long time
im so sorry I'm so behind but whats all the shit about thats been happening with jamie? either way i hope you're ok xxx
its been awhile since i checked this inbox. that happened like 2 years ago i think?
wait what? why does the 1975 not use your photos anymore I'm so confused
Because they haven’t been playing in australia so i haven’t taken new photos
hey! i was just wondering. if you've never had any classes in photography, how did you get so good and come so far in your career? I'm interested in taking it in year 12 x
I did photography in grade 12 at school, and a refresher course maybe 10 years later but thats it. I had to teach myself how to use a digital camera
were you at the show at the dome in february?
The dome?
what are your top 5 favourite the 1975 songs?
In no order-
Menswear, Somebody Else, ILIWYS, HNSCC and Facedown
just wanted to say that i'm such a fan of your work, your photography is amazing!
thank you xx
Do you speak Greek? 💙
nah i don’t soz.
remember when you threatened to sue teenagers over your photos being posted wo credit. did you go thru with legal action? jw because people are doing that to my photos and i think i want to proceed
first of all, i didn’t threaten to do that to anyone. i simply said that if we were in a court dealing with it they wouldn’t have a leg to stand on. TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.do you really want to go that far though? if they’re posting the photos without credit, that’s one thing. I personally wouldn’t consider bringing expensive lawyers into something like that unless it was an individual or business who was using my work without permission to make money. Instagram reposting isn’t worth lawyers.
BUT, if you really wanted to get into it, I suppose you would just google lawyers in the your city who deal with copyright and go talk to them about it. It’ll probably cost you $500 to talk to them about it but there’s a start.
