Most people really aren’t interested in overcoming their own traumas or ego patterns.

They just want to make themselves more comfortable inside their prison cells.

I don’t blame them or look down on them for it.

Sometimes a being’s suffering is so strong that just feeling a little more comfortable is a major win. It is why compassion and helping others is considered so sacred—it contributes to their future possibility to Awaken.

But for me I find it’s also important to keep in mind for relationships, especially romantic relationships. If you value a growth-based approach to relationships in which you learn and evolve with each other, you cannot afford a partner who just wants to be comfortable.
