it drives me insane when ppl seem to think leon trusted rose sooo blindly and would do anything for him when he not only tries to argue in favour of waiting a day but straight up calls his plan madness to his face

he absolutely wants to help rose where he can bc he knows the people are in mind with his plans but also. hes a grown man who has worked with this man since he was ten years old. the idolisation of a figure you once loved begins to fade once they become multifaceted

I dont have the energy to create two whole regions - i dont even have the energy to add more to the tundra to make it more scottish, just one town for rose lol - but pushpa and khalil are supposed to be from pkmns equivalent of india and pakistan respectively

Both face the repercussions of societal and cultural expectations in both marriage and studious endeavours. Neither forced but judgment lay thick for their refusal/avoidance.

Pushpa's background lays more heavy on India's class disparity which is why finding marriage was expected of her whilst Khalil's leans more on the cultural shame around how even men are affected by these issues albeit less severely than women and his lack of pursuing education or attaining work that would make him a more desirable husband

Theyre both immigrants in gaIar with anywhere being better than where they were along with a drive to make the change they wanted to see. Which is also how they end up in poverty. They had to start from scratch and they were lucky enough to find each other

Im sure ive made a post about it before but i cant find it so five second ramble abt pushpa and Khalil's pokemon. Barely teams just guys they live/work with

Pushpa is a simple espeon and roselia

Renowned for its future sight to protect its trainer. Cute lil orb looks like a bindi. Smallest tie in with penny w the eeveelutions. Compliments well to the roselia that also thrives in the sunlight.

Roselia keeps to the rose theming esp as he gets most of his traits from his mother (I am not anime compliant he is a mummys boy forever and ever). The fact they look so delicate and yet can poison those who get too close even when they dont intend it not too dissimilar to the way she handled some parental matters poorly without meaning ill by it.

Khalil gets a work focused team. Silly, but hard working guys that aid him on the job and around the house. Carkol obvious enough as a miner, conkekdurr leaning on khalil being a strong pillar in every aspect of his life. Genuinely a good man that wanted to be there more for his kids and sacrificed his everything to give them the best he could even if he wasnt home as often as hed liked.

Carkol ends up in rose's care when his dad passes (later in life - early 50s - but black lung is what gets him which still pushes rose to strive for a change in the industry) and conkeldurr helps out in taking care of pushpa.
