Work you’re most proud of: A Permanent Mark, with color coded notes for it and the time it took, I put the most work into this story. It has the fewest hits of anything I wrote last year, but I still love it (named of course after Taylor’s song This Love)
Work you’re least proud of: You’ll Skate With Me, that was just never its purpose. It’s supposed to be fun and silly, not deep. It does the job.
A favorite excerpt from your writing: From The Knot That Keeps Me Tied to You, picking this because it was the line almost every review mentioned 🤍
“Ziva knew what it felt to be held by Tony, to be loved by him and if there was any relief at all in the situation, it was that their daughter had been granted that luxury already.”
A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: Dr. Lang in a session with Ziva & any smut (because y’all that is hard 😅)
How did you grow as a writer this year: I tried so hard to let things be real and honest and feel like we were living in Tony and Ziva’s real lives in whatever situation I was writing and not just their TV character life. I hope that what I was writing grew into relatable emotions and scenes and conversations
Any projects you’re looking forward to starting or finishing in the new year: Finishing Time Will Tell, it’s a beast but I love it and it will be completed, even if it’s 150k words. Actually I would like to write another smut + big feelings fic. OH! And I have a wedding night fic that’s far more than that (picture so many flashbacks) that I want to dedicate some serious time to.
If you could recommend only one work from yourself published in 2025: A Permanent Mark 💙 it’s not light, it’s not very fun, but I’m so proud of the exploration of Ziva and how her life lead her to naming her daughter after her sister
THANK YOU to every person who read a story or a paragraph or a word, left a review and kudos, or shared anything I wrote. It means the world! 🫶🏻
BIG love to @indestinatus for tagging me & spending a very longgg year writing with me 🩵
Excited for more writing in 2026 and being a better reader (🫣)!
