Chapter 1: When You’re Gone
Yosuke sighed as he was at the airport watching a flight to California take off. He didn’t want the others with him when Athena boarded her flight home. If Yu was still in Inaba, he wouldn’t have minded him being around. But he went back to the Big City. So he decided to go alone. Things just were not fair. After he finally found someone who understood him and wasn’t faking it when they said that they appreciated him.
He didn’t want to take a train home from the airport. He just walked all the way home from the airport. He wanted to reflect all of the good times with Athena that he had with her while she was in Inaba. Things weren’t going to be the same the next year. It is his final year in high school, but he wasn’t sure if he could wait a year to move from Inaba.
As he started to get closer to his house, he did smile a small smile, despite being sad over Athena’s departure. A week ago, Athena did talk to Yosuke’s dad about their plans for when he finished high school. He did agree to the plan to have Yosuke move over to America to work as a law assistant at the Wright Anything Agency and have him live with Athena. Looks like he would have to save up at least half of his Junes paychecks from here on out for the big move.
The past year was so amazing. He met his “partner” Yu Narukami and he met the love of his life Athena Cykes. Now both of them were gone. Yu he could hop on a train to visit the Big City and vice versa. So he didn’t feel nearly as much sadness with his departure. But Athena was on the other side of the world. It would be next to impossible to go see her. At least until he would go see her again.
He opened up the door to his house and just quietly went to his room. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone. Not even send Yu a text. He sat at his desk and sighed. “Athena....thank you for everything. I am not sure if I will be able to survive the next year without you. My heart misses and yearns for yours. But true love can withstand distance. I know we can withstand this as hard as it will be...” he whispered to himself.
He then got ready for bed and laid in bed afterward. He closed his eyes to go to sleep. At least his memories of Athena would probably still find him in his dreams. “My heart misses you already Athena....” he said quietly as he went to sleep.
The First Time Kissed: Franziska had just confessed her feelings to Naoto. She wasn’t quite sure if she returned her feelings. But Naoto then told her that she felt the same way. Franziska wasn’t expecting her feelings to be returned, so she was surprised to hear this. After making a promise that they would fight their demons together, she asked Naoto if she could kiss her. Naoto in a shy tone, she said yes. It was then that Franziska kissed her softly and quickly.
The Second Time Kissed: It had been a few days since Naoto saw Franziska at the office. Yet she would still drop by her apartment to make sure she wasn’t overworking herself in her absence. Naoto looked at the date on her calendar. Of course....the anniversary of her father’s death. This day was always a mixed day for Franziska. She went to the graveyard where Manfred Von Karma’s ashes laid. Just as she had suspected, Franziska was by his grave. Naoto snuck up behind Franziska and held her close and kissed her cheek as a way to show sympathy. “I love you Franziska Von Karma,” she whispered in her ears.
The Third Time Kissed: Naoto was struggling with her investigation for a case she and Franziska were working on. Naoto liked to always have decisive evidence for Franziska but she couldn’t find any this time around. She sighed as she looked down at the ground. Why? Why wasn’t there any decisive evidence? Rumour had it that they were up against an attorney who wins through bluffing. She couldn’t let such a man win. When Franziska noticed that it’s been hours since Naoto left, she went out to the crime scene to look for her. She noticed that Naoto was distressed due to not being able to find any evidence. She couldn’t help but to pull Naoto close to her and hold her close and kiss her on the lips deeply. By now she had gotten used to kissing her and she had decided to be more loving with her kisses. “You tried your best Naoto, that’s all that matters to me,” she whispered to her softly.
The Fourth Time Kissed: It was an ordinary night, or so Naoto thought it was. Franziska invited her over to her apartment to cook her a special dinner. Little did she know what Franziska had in store for her. Franziska was....going to ask Naoto to marry her. When Naoto came over and ate the dinner with Franziska, she was about to thank her for the evening and go home. Before she left, Franziska held Naoto’s hand lightly. She asked Naoto for her hand in marriage and Naoto blushed at the question. Nervously, she said yes and kissed Franziska to show her how much she loved her.
The Fifth Time Kissed: It was their big day. She was walking down the aisle with Naoto, linking arms with her. This was the best day of her life. She was going to marry the woman that changed her life forever when she moved to America from Japan. The ceremony happened and they said their “I Dos”. After all of that, both Naoto and Franziska kissed each other in matrimony.

It was the most beautiful day of her life. She was married to the love of her life and her saviour, Phoenix Wright, or rather Phoenix Fey. Of course she still wanted to keep the Fey name and she was pleased to hear that he would gladly take her last name instead.
She was sitting next to him just staring at him, her new husband. He was amazing in every way. He always was there for her when she needed him. Of course she would do the same for him in return. She loved him more than life itself. Just when she thought he couldn’t be more amazing than he already was, she was wrong.
A slow song was starting at the wedding reception and he got up from his seat and offered a hand to her. “Mia Fey? Would you like to have our first dance as husband and wife?” he asked her with a blush on his cheeks.
She couldn’t help but to chuckle at him blushing. He still got easily flustered and yet that somehow amused her. She smiled as she got up and took his hand and kissed him on the cheek. “Yes of course I would, my amazing husband.”
After that, they went to the dance floor and danced a slow dance, in each others arms. Life may not be perfect. No one is perfect. But moments like this were perfect. It was these moments that made life better even when things were hard.
For better or for worse, she would always have her husband Phoenix Fey by her side.
Just Give Me A Reason (Narumei) - Chapter 2: Phoenix’s Inner Thoughts
I still remember the days where you and I confessed our love for each other. It was a strange, yet happy time for us both. You were someone who only knew of perfection because of her father; I was willing to do whatever it took to show you that you were fine the way you are. Slowly, but surely, you showed me a vulnerable side to you. I felt like I was so proud of myself, proud that I finally broke through.
However, as of late, you seemed to be making yourself too vulnerable. Is it really necessary? Last I checked, we were fine, but I suppose I may have missed something until now.
I will admit I have been more distant as of late, but that is not your fault at all Franziska. I just am in a deep depression with all of this mess in regards to my disbarment. I sincerely hope you don’t blame yourself for it; its not your fault.
Then again, I can see why you are acting the way that you are acting. You are someone with abandonment and trust issues, and I have been pulling back and closing myself off. It is natural for someone with those issues to presume that I have had enough.
I know that you act so complex at times Franziska. Maybe it is something deeper than trust issues. You’ve made yourself vulnerable, and yet I still can’t get a read on you regarding this.
If something is on your mind, why won’t you talk to me about it? We are lovers, right? Don’t you trust me? Your lack of trust and faith hurts me, if I am to be honest with you.
Sure, I may not be sleeping with you in my arms right now, but its not because I stopped loving you. I remember that one time when we first started dating when I held you tight while sleeping that you told me I am too clingy. Since then I’ve respected your wishes and kept my distance while we slept. I suppose things might be different right now; we probably should’ve talked about it and many other issues we’ve had long before now…
I need to talk to you. It’s the only way we can save our relationship at this point, Franziska Von Karma. If we truly love each other, after we discuss things face-to-face, everything will be alright. I just know it.

After Phoenix wrote his diary entry, he ripped out a piece of paper from his diary. Then he closed his diary shut and locked it. On the piece of paper he tore out of his diary, he wrote:
To Franziska,
I have some things on my mind that I need to talk to you about. Please meet me in the living room tonight. I am sure you have sensed the strain between us lately and we need to sort it for the sake of our relationship. I cannot keep carrying on like this anymore.

Once he finished writing the note, he folded up the note and walked into Franziska’s office, where he put the note on her desk. Most of the time, it’s the first place Franziska came to when she came home from work. He then sulked to the living room to patiently wait for Franziska and go over what he wanted to say to her.
This decisive meeting was their only hope in his mind.
Hmm, let's go for Yu and Franziska for that prompt! Or Naoto and Franziska, whichever is more convenient.

So um....I got a problem. See the prompt @cykestbh gave me to go with the ship was SO good, i cant make it into a drabble. It’s gonna turn into a multi-chapter fic. So nice going partner ;D
Chapter 1 - Perfect:
After the trial where Franziska lost once again to Phoenix Wright, she smiled at Naoto as she left to go home. She then heard Phoenix chuckling at her action. "What is so funny Phoenix Wright? Can't I say goodbye to a fellow co-worker?"
Phoenix chuckled some more. "Of course you can. But most detectives you seem to whip at them to work harder to ensure victory. But with the new one you started working with, you seem to be friendly towards her. That is what I find to be bizarre." He paused for a moment after his sentence. "You don't have a thing for Detective Shirogane, do you Franziska?"
Franziska's cheeks went red as she grabbed her whip and lashed it at Phoenix. "Don't be such a foolish fool Phoenix Wright! Of course I don't have a thing for her. Unlike most of you, she isn't a foolish fool and she is just a friend at most to me," she said as she folded her arms. "Is this interrogation done now? Or do you have any more questions for me Phoenix Wright?"
Phoenix chuckled at Franziska’s reaction. “Your words say you don’t like her as more than a friend. But your red face says so otherwise. Seriously Franziska, calm down. I think it’s great that you can feel for someone since I know you are hard to please in that department. Look, why not just ask her on a beach date? Summer is coming up and it would be her first summer in America. I am sure she would love to experience a romantic summer in America, you know?”
Franziska stepped back as she sighed. Phoenix Wright was always good at pointing out what others was hiding from him for some reason. It’s true that she did have feelings for the detective she worked with. But what if Naoto would find it too awkward to work with her some more if they did date and things did not work out? She loved working with Naoto. Unlike Detective Gumshoe, Naoto was not a foolish fool. Far from it. She was brilliant and great at her logical thinking. She admired that about her and she also appreciated her support every time things didn’t go right. Unlike her father, Naoto would tell her gently that it’s okay if things do not go perfectly, just as long as you gave it your all. She always told Franziska that she can tell that she gives it her all.
After all of this, Franziska hung her head low. “Are you trying to make me out to be a fool for if she doesn’t return my feelings Phoenix Wright? Would that be one more thing you would enjoy laughing at me for?” she asked with an annoyed tone in her voice.
Phoenix shook his head. “Not at all Franziska. As a Von Karma though, don’t you deserve the best? Wouldn’t Detective Shirogane be the best for you? I mean, all of my attempts were shot down. The least you could do for yourself is perhaps ask someone out who is worthy of the attention of a Von Karma? Detective Shirogane is perfect for you.”
Franziska sighed as she raised her head and gave Phoenix a dirty glare. “Fine. I will go ask her out Phoenix Wright. But if I am rejected, you will pay for making me take your foolish advice. Understood, Phoenix Wright?”
Phoenix chuckled at Franziska’s comment. “Honestly Franziska? It wouldn’t surprise me if you did do that.” He smiled at her after words. “Good luck though Franziska. I am sure it will go well.”
Franziska sighed and walked away from Phoenix. The more babbling she would hear from him, the more annoyed she would get with him for even considering to ask out Detective Shirogane. She hoped that it would turn out well because if it didn't, their working relationship would be ruined. She would also owe Phoenix Wright a million whippings for his suggestion being less than perfect.
She got back to her office to gather her things to go home. On her way out, she ran into Naoto. She was internally panicking. Her plan was to go home, think about how to ask Naoto out on the date, and ask her tomorrow. She sighed softly, hoping that Naoto wouldn't hear the sigh. "Naoto? I....I have something to ask you. If that is alright with you," she said while red blush crept upon her cheeks.
Naoto stopped in her tracks from leaving Franziska Von Karma’s office when Franziska approached her. She looked at her and was surprised to see Franziska blush so red. She thought Franziska was usually a calm and composed type of person who didn’t show any kind of emotions. Something was up. Perhaps it had to do with what she wanted to ask her. Naoto nodded her head. “Yes, of course Miss Von Karma. What do you need from me?”
Franziska backed up a bit out of nervousness. How? How could she tell her favorite co-worker that she also had feelings for her? What if she scared her off? What if she shamed her since in Japan it might be different? Maybe no one was openly gay or lesbian there like they are in America? Confessing to her feelings and asking her out on a date was the most nerve-wrecking thing she ever had to ever in her life. She took a light breath in hoping that Naoto wouldn’t catch it.
“Naoto….” She paused for a moment due to feeling hesitant and nervous to even confess her feelings to her. She looked over her shoulder away from Naoto for a moment. Eventually, she gathered the courage and looked at Naoto with a firm look on her face. “I am not sure how you feel about me but…I have grown…..very fond of you. So….if you feel the same way about me, would you like….the two of us to go to a beach on a date? It is summer and I want you to experience your first American summer in the most fun way possible. That is….if you want to.”
After confessing, she turned away for a moment and closed her eyes. She was definitely feeling very scared. She wasn’t sure how Naoto was going to react to her confession. She would rather not look her in the eyes if she was to reject her. It would be too much for her after all.
All of a sudden, Naoto decided to put her hand on Franziska’s shoulder lightly. She wasn’t the type to kiss to show a sign of having feelings for someone. But she wasn’t about to let Franziska know that her confession was in vain. “Franziska Von Karma, please turn around and look at me. For once I am going to tell you what to do.”
Franziska slowly opened her eyes at the touch on her shoulder. Once Naoto ordered her to look at her, she slowly turned around. Naoto then pulled Franziska into a tight hug and smiled. “Your feelings are not wasted.”
It was Naoto’s turn to go red with what she was about to confess to Franziska. “You see Miss Franziska, I too….have developed fond feelings for you. You always are a tough woman and always do what you have to do to get the job done. I really admire that in you. So….yes I will indeed accept your invitation for the date at the beach. What date and where shall I meet you?”
Franziska was taken aback. She loved her too? And accepted her date proposal? This was something she did not expect. Perhaps that foolish Phoenix Wright does know a thing or two after all about things. Maybe his ideation of hope wasn’t as bad as she thought it was. “Let’s go on a Sunday evening perhaps? Meet me outside the office here. It will be a nice, quiet beach date for the two of us that day. Does that sound alright with you Naoto?”
Naoto smiled at the fact that Franziska took the fact that Naoto didn’t like big crowds into thought. Sunday evening at the beach sounded like the perfect time. “The crowds wouldn’t be too big at that point, so that sounds like a perfect time and date. Thank you very much Miss Franziska.”
Franziska chuckled. It was cute on how Naoto was still being slightly formal with her. But she didn’t need to be overly formal with her anymore. If they were to be girlfriends, she can be informal with her in private at least. If she wanted to while at work still call her Miss Von Karma that would be fine. But in private that wouldn’t be necessary. “You don’t need to add the Miss to my name if we are talking in private anymore. Work is fine to call me that for professionalism sake, but please, feel free to just call me Franziska outside of work.”
Naoto nodded her head in affirmation. “Understood, Franziska. So I will see you Sunday?” she asked in confirmation. Franziska gave Naoto a grin. “How about you meet me here Saturday? I would love to help you find a new bathing suit perhaps. I am quite sure you would look cute in a two-piece bathing suit,” she said with quite confidence in her tone.
Naoto backed away shyly and looked down. “A….two piece bathing suit? Wouldn’t a one piece be good enough Franziska? I…am never confident in wearing a two-piece bathing suit. Ever.”
Franziska frowned at Naoto’s comment. “Why? I think you look lovely in general. You could wear anything you wanted to in my opinion. I’m not just saying this to be a good girlfriend. I truly mean it Naoto….”
Naoto sighed. “I appreciate it Franziska, but….I still don’t know.”
Franziska walked up to Naoto and lifted her chin up. “How about we go shopping together and have you try on some bathing suits in general? One piece and two piece? You pick whatever one you like best and I will buy that one for you. No matter what kind of bathing suit it is. Do we have a deal Naoto?”
Naoto nodded quietly. “I guess that is a fair compromise Franziska. So I will meet you outside of the office tomorrow then for our shopping trip?”
Franziska gave Naoto a grin. “You bet! Together we will find you the perfect bathing suit! See you then.”
After that long conversation, they both left the office and headed their separate ways home.

Just Give Me a Reason (Narumei) - Chapter 1 - Franziska's Anxieties
Dear Diary,
From the moment my brother Miles handed me my whip that I gave you and a note from you, I realized that you had captured my heart. However, it wasn't until after that case involving Iris that we confessed to each other of our feelings.
Admittedly, the idea of me confessing my feelings to a foolish fool such as yourself had me worried and anxious because I wasn't sure if you returned my feelings. But you ended up confessing first so that relieved any anxieties I had. You held me close as I cried into your arms because I said that I wasn't worth it and told me I was wrong. That I was indeed worth it. It was then I realized I fell for the right person. You are perfect for me, Phoenix Wright.
After that vulnerable moment, I let you see the sides of me that none of the prosecutors or anyone else in the courtroom sees. You accepted all sides of me. Good, bad, and in between. I have no regrets of showing you my vulnerable side that my father shamed me for having. Should he be alive still, he would shame me for showing them to anyone. But that doesn't matter anymore. Only what you think of me matters.
Every time I cry, get so insecure and fear that I am not enough, you pull me into a tight hug and kiss me softly. You tell me "You are more than enough Franziska. You are perfect to me Franziska. I wouldn't trade you and our love for anything in the world." Your touch is always healing when I feel broken. I cannot get enough of it.
One night you stopped sleeping with me in your arms. At first I thought it was because of the disbarment. But then it became days, and then weeks. Did you resent me because I am also a prosecutor? Did you think I resented us taking in Trucy? There are so much anxieties running through my head right now. I could have even sworn that I heard you say that you have had it with our love in your sleep.
I talked to Miles about what to do with this situation since he knows us both very well. He suggested that I talk to you about this. At first I thought he was crazy because what if I am imagining it all and all of his distance is because of your disbarment? But then I realized...that is why I should talk to you about all of this. Because what if it is because of all of that? And besides, how can we fix things if neither of us communicate issues to each other? I just...wish you would be open to your feelings about all of this though.
I want to be there for you through all of this. I want to help so badly. So please.....let me help Phoenix Wright. Please.....I never like to beg but for once I will. Please let me help you through this. Isn't that what a girlfriend should do for her boyfriend in trying times after all?

Akira Kurusu, Age 16. Codename when in the cognitive: Joker. Came to Tokyo for a year to do his probation. He resides under the care of Sojiro Sakura in the attic of Leblanc Café. One day when he got enough guts, he agreed to work for Iwai in exchange for special upgrades for the weapons and equipment needed for the Phantom Thieves Palace infiltrations. Little did he know that he would meet someone who worked for Iwai part time that he could relate to so much and that he would have to save him from a fate of pain. Only Joker can save that man he meets.
Kazuma Kiryu, Age 48. Alias Name: Akira Nishikiyama. Moved to Shibuya from Kamurocho after being forced into hiding under an alias name. Ran into some thugs in Shibuya and fought them off single-handedly. Little did he know that another ex-yakuza member Munehisa Iwai was near by and saw his fighting skills and was impressed. He decided to offer Kiryu a job at his airsoft shop called Unbreakable after seeing his fighting skills. Of course Kiryu didn’t tell him that he was Kazuma Kiryu, Dragon of Dojima, and 4th Chairman of the Tojo Clan. Since Akira swings by to help out at the shop here and there…he met him one day and found out that they have a lot in common. The more he got to know Akira though, the more he missed his old life with Haruka and the Orphanage and all of the people he knew that he left behind back in Kamurocho. Eventually his desires he craves for gets the best of him causes a palace to form up inside. He is controlled by his distorted desires at this point. Only one person can save him now.
Two people of different generations but alike in mind were fated to meet each other through Munehisa Iwai at his airsoft shop “Unbreakable”. It was just a pure coincidence that Iwai had Kiryu work the late night shift for him the same day that he texted Akira to come over to do an odd job for him. It was that moment that an unforgettable meeting was to occur.
I am going to be posting an actual fanfic on here! So stay tuned! it’s a crossover of Persona 5 and Yakuza! :D you’ll see posts of each part of the fanfic and it’ll have it’s own tag which will be Unresolved pain. So if you tag it in chrono order, you can read it in order! :D
