Debating on starting to write again but for DC + Marvel this time. Basically things that I’m really into now XD. Also!! Hello I’m back, sort of. 3rd year of college is a pain. But I’m alive and the writer’s block is kinda loosened its grip on me xD. I won’t go back to full fic pieces but maybe just snippets and drabbles to stress relief. So I’ll def be in and out but I wanted to swim by and say hey!
Jason is definitely the type to go feral over his best friend he hasn't seen in years. Hear me out: he's alive again, and not only that, but he's huge. Strong. People are afraid of him. So the reader is in town, walking the streets, and they meet again, maybe when he protects them as Hood. And reader is ecstatic to see Jason again of course and he's the same but also, all he can think is minemineminemine and I WANT YOU. mans is down horrendous for his sweet best friend that he missed and he's been in love with them for so long and now that he has them, he's not giving them up
idk if this was a prompt but i got inspired <3 thanks for stopping by anon
jason todd x gn!reader. feral jason i guess, but really soft jason. jason who yearns to be yours. jason who'd do anything for it, even if it meant one sided devotion... and also, jason who is loved by you. 1.2k words
****
"I don't understand why you can't come to my apartment."
"I told you why." Jason's posture is rigid but his tone is gentle. Because he has told you why he won't enter your home. Multiple times. Doesn't mean you don't challenge it every time you meet him on a random rooftop.
"It would be fine, Jay," you say. "I trust you."
"I know. But I don't trust everybody else," he says, words crackling through his modulator. That had frightened you at first; in fact, everything about a newly-resurrected Jason Todd had frightened you. From his height to the guns, you'd been sure that night in Gotham would be your last.
But then it had become clear that cheated death aside, nothing could kill his heart.
"You haven't visited in a while," you say.
You don't mean for it to sound accusatory.
"I know," Jason says. "Been busy. The Bats..."
And you knew. You knew the second you found out that Jason was alive that it would be like this, that he wouldn't be completely yours. He wasn't yours when he was Robin either, perhaps even less so.
And what's wrong with that? You have no right to ask him to be yours. To give you more.
But the recent distance has frightened you. Maybe it's for safety's sake, but your selfish heart wishes that he'd drop that for once.
Then again, there's always that dread in your stomach that perhaps Jason Todd doesn't love you the way you love him. And perhaps he never will.
"Well, I wish you'd call," you say.
This is wrong. You shouldn't be picking fights. Jason doesn't go dark out of cruelty, only necessity.
Jason sighs. "I can't. 'M sorry."
You cross your arms. It's chilly tonight.
"Do you even want to see me?"
He tilts his head. Dangerous.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't want to intrude," you say. "You're busy and all the stuff with B, I don't—I mean, I wouldn't hold it against you if you—"
Jason takes two long strides and closes the distance. You swallow the rest of your sentence as he backs you up against the brick exterior of an abandoned apartment. Your heart picks up. You're not afraid; the fear went long ago. You're just... something. You're something about Jason.
The last time you two hugged was after Willis' death. You'd wanted to wrap him in his cape, thought maybe that would make everything feel as small as he'd been.
Now, a foot taller and a hundred pounds heavier, Jason clearly does not need a cape. Right?
He takes off his helmet, lets it hang on his hand. His other hand is by your head. You lean back, let your neck go on display. Jason doesn't miss the movement.
"What're you doing, Jay?" you ask levelly.
Maybe he thinks you don't notice this distance but you do. You don't want to push him to talk about it, because as upsetting as it is, you're still strangers to each other.
You are and you're not. He died and he didn't. You grieved and you didn't. You burn and... you burn.
But you're tired of being and not being. You won't let him keep you in emotional purgatory. If he's done with you, he should just say so.
"If you don't want to meet anymore," you start, and let the words hang in the air.
"I—" he starts, then swallows. He tosses his helmet to the side. He doesn't touch you, just hovers inches away. Jason smells like lilac and gun smoke.
"I don't think you understand... my devotion," he says, voice low. "How much power you have over me."
Your eyes widen. "Wh—"
His green eyes reflect the streetlight like a cat's. The sight stops you short. Jason Todd is hot metal on a knife's edge, and it would do you well to remember that.
His hands curl into fists. He shakes his head.
"Sorry," he whispers like a prayer. "Not tryna scare you." His chest rises and falls rapidly. "'M I scarin' ya, sweetheart? Tell me and I'll go home, shake it off. Wait forever. I can be good. Won't want what I don't deserve."
"I'm not scared," you say, and it's the most sure you've ever been. "Not scared of you, Jay."
He breathes a laugh, like he can't quite believe you. His breath is warm on your neck.
"You'd be the first," he says. "The only one."
This, you believe. This, you have wondered some nights, knowing that even Batman isn't sure what to do with a son who lives with death on his shoulder.
"You don't have to devote yourself to me," you say, because that makes you pause. Who are you to be his god?
Jason laughs again, strong and sure. He sinks to his knees in front of you. His white streak glows in the light.
"You think it's a vice?" he asks. He rests a hand on your left thigh, testing. You lay your hand over his, so he holds your other thigh too.
He hums. "You do. You think you're holdin' me hostage."
Jason takes a shuddering breath and flattens his palms over your legs. Then he leans in and rests his cheek on your leg, nose near the apex of your thighs. Your belly flips.
"Let's make one thing clear. My devotion is my only redemption. 'S the only thing that makes me believe I'm not all rotted inside. Makes me behave. In this world and the next, I'm yours."
"I... Jason, you belong to yourself, not me. I don't—"
"You don't have to do anything. If it's too much, then I'll disappear. You can carry on."
You stroke the exposed side of his face. He looks up at you.
He is still. You have made him still.
"I'm yours too," you say.
He shakes his head. "You don't hafta—"
"Do you think being yours is a curse?" you ask, gaze sharp.
"Don't promise something for balance's sake," he rasps. "I'll be yours without you being mine."
Your heart is still. He has made it still.
"I'll keep coming back," Jason whispers, eyes wide. "If you're mine, I can't leave. Y'don't know what you're doing. Don't give yourself to me."
"I do. I'm yours."
His grip tightens around your legs. Jason shakes his head.
"Don't do it," he says into your thigh. "I shouldn't have anyone. I'm-I'm only meant to be yours. Nobody's mine."
But you know. You can slide your finger along his teeth and he'll wait with his mouth open. You can touch his edges and he'll turn his cheek so you won't nick your finger. He would sooner chew his own tongue.
"It's alright," you say, and kneel. You dirty your knees right alongside him. "It's okay, Jason. I know what I'm doing."
His breath hitches. Jason presses you into the brick, tucks his face into your neck. His arms wrap tightly around your waist.
"Sorry," he whispers frantically. "'M sorry. You can push me away. Sorry."
"I won't do that." You hold him and let him take you. "I know you're good. I thought—I thought you were pulling away, and I..."
"I was," he admits, muffled in your skin. "'M sorry. Was the only way I could think of to let you go. You deserve better. Couldn't think 'round you, honeylove. Knew it was a death sentence when I found out that you still lived in Gotham."
"It wasn't," you say. "Best thing that's ever happened to me."
Jason huffs. "You say that now, but..."
"No. I say it now and I'll say it again. Keep me, Jason. I'll keep you too."

I watched a documentary on Netflix(?) and one section of the episodes are abt a lioness having her cubs but she’s away from her pride because her babies are so small and weak, plus the other members of the pride could possibly just unalive them either by playing too rough or another male Lion takes over the pride. The documentary says that all female lionesses have to do this and it’s seen in other apex predators behaviors too.
But what if this detail goes into a royal family tradition or the cultural aspect of apex beastmen? For example, Leona and Farena’s mother would have to “isolate” and be sole caretaker of her “cubs,” this already creates a slight shift in the relationship between father and cubs for an undisclosed amount of time, so mom comes back and presents her first child to her husband and he’s the one that does education etc but didn’t have that early chance to bond with the offspring.
“Female lions leave the pride to give birth to their young and do not return until the cubs are several weeks old. The adult females then join together to raise and defend the young”
Of course this idea can easily be shot down with evidence from the lion king, while not entirely accurate twst does seem to draw equal inspiration from the source material and irl things

"The Zora Domain was once again saved from tragedy by your heroic Swordsman and our beloved King Sidon… I wonder what you might have said seeing your brother and him fighting side by side. While most unproductive, I cannot help that my mind often strays to what could've been, Lady Mipha."
Yona's words swell with bittersweet wonder as she wistfully sighs and peers at the Champion's memorial. Yona's speckled amber eyes searched the tranquil statue's face. What for? She didn't even honestly know herself. Perhaps a sense of relief, or Yona wanted a sign that their demure Champion was watching her brother thrive. What would Yona's childhood hero have said to their union? So many questions that would stay unanswered, the foreign Zora concluded. Her mind wandered to her dear husband, the stars to her night sky.
Despite his unending enthusiasm and carefree air, the Queen knew her husband well to know there was so much more lurking underneath his energetic and hopeful personality. From the outside, it seemed even fear allured him. If only they knew it was the very opposite. Sidon was and still is profoundly affected by his sister's tragic passing, more to say, the fear it caused. Who would blame him for his fear? One hundred years were a blink of an eye for the Zora. Yet time did not heal all. The emptiness in everyone's hearts still aches, just not as much anymore. Everyone can say her name and recount their memory of Mipha with a smile, but her presence would still be longed for.
Finally, Sidon resumed his monthly visits to Mipha's Court, something he hadn't done in a while, even prior to his fight with Ganon. It may be silly for some to speak with a figurine. But this simple action always made Zora fondly smile, recalling days when Mipha would always listen with kind words and a warm aura as she always did before her death.
At the Champion's memorial, Yona recalls an instant from their shared childhood when heavy rains poured down a river they played next to. The torrential downpour rose above the bank, capturing the tiny crimson-screaming prince down the waterway. The foreign Zora was the first to swim after him, willing her smaller verdant fins to move her faster. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she reached her fellow royal. The current lashed the young children, but undeterred, Yona carried him into a small cape. A moment of peace after a hurricane of freight, the water continued to thunder behind them. The tiny child tried to calm the quivering Sidon in her arms while attempting to mend a wounded foot of her own. Then, as all hope seemed lost, frenzied cries welcomed the duo as a frazzled Mipha and royal guards caught up quickly. Mipha soothed their cries, touching their cheeks and promptly healing any injuries.
"My Queen, it's well past the early evening hours. We wouldn't want the subjects, least of all His Majesty, to worry about your disappearance." Webbed footsteps lightly tread behind the Queen as Khira stirs the royal to the present, her voice woven in respectful concern for Yona. Her attendants always stayed close to each other and their Lady out of duty and fondness for each other's company.
Even if Chroma's youthful airheadedness got on the latter's nerves, it was still a comfort brought to the Domain.
Their homeland was nearly unattainable to those who couldn't breathe and tread water as swiftly as the aquatic race. In contrast, Zora's Domain flourished to the elements. While New Bay seldom had hazardous weather. Their home had air pocket caverns filled with seashell shops nestled deep into the sea's safe tides and swaying colors, hidden from the land and its residence—a true secret treasure amongst the merpeople.
"Yes, yes. Of course, I wouldn't wish for Sidon to worry. My apologies to you both. It is late, Chroma, Khira. You did not have to accompany me to the Court. No monsters have dared step foot after that Sludge Like." Yona turns, smiling at her loyal, protective attendants. Her golden headpiece jewelry gingerly clinks as she steps down the stairs; verdant hands glide down the polished handrails. The Caregiver knew full well her guards knew their way around the weapons and their water magic, but still, she felt bad for her friends staying with her so long. Yona was no stranger to marksmanship or training herself in purifying wounds and tainted water.
"Please don't worry about it, Lady Yona! We like looking after you; you're our friend, plus his Majesty asked- Ow!" The youngest Zora cheerfully bubbles, and the older guard swiftly jabs her. The new Queen tilts her head, sighing to herself. Even now, Sidon's still quite protective, isn't he? But still, a loving gesture all the same that makes her heart flutter and cheeks warm.
"Hush you! Do you not know when to flap your lips and when not to? On that note as well, how many times must I lecture you? It is Queen Yona, no longer 'Lady.' Have you no respect or idea of the importance of these titles? My goodness, do my words fall on deaf ears?" Exasperated, Khira shakes her head while glaring at her fellow attendant. The trio starts their short journey home as Yona's muffled laughter spills from her lips, watching her dear friend's antics. The young women stare down the waterfall leading down Lulu Lake.
"Please, be nice. Any more of your reprimands, and I'll go deaf." Squeaks the distraught retainer, dark gray eyes pleading to their Queen for help as they descend through the waters.
Even from an immense height, the radiant city's glow softens the carved-out cliffs, and the bright ore deposits dot the wet landscape, becoming a beacon of beauty and splendor. The sun's wonderous warmth far retreated past the Domain's reach, a touch of cold breezes caressing Yona's skin. Coming to the halfway mark, the Caregiver answers her friend's silent pleas. Standing before the marbled platform, the Zora Queen shifts her attention to her bickering friend.
"Khira, come now, I believe that's enough, we wouldn't wish any harm, and it is only the three of us. You can indeed allow one moment of reprieve. I need not worry about titles, my precious friends." Yona coaxes her friend's long-winded lectures, seeing the elder Zora sigh in defeat and allowing this rare moment of informality, much like the old times. Marching down, Khira and Chroma flank their Queen's side, scanning every direction for any monster or Yiga sneak attack. The clansmen weren't interested in the Zora royal line, but being cautious with the newly crowned royalty never hurt.
Their serenity shatters as a high-pitched undignified whine carries through, cutting into the air as they swim down the final waterfall. The young guards perk up and quickly unsheath their weapons, pushing their Queen further near the falls, providing a swift escape. "Your Majesty, Chroma, stay here. I'll go investigate." A hushed command tumbles from the dark dolphin Zora's lips, eyes narrowing and head tucked down for intimidation.
The royal guard crawls out of the pool, spotting a cluster of thick foliage suitable for an ambush. Rushing to the forest green bushes, Khira ducks down to spy on the ruckus while Chroma guards Yona with her spear, guiding her safely away from the unseen danger. The new ruler braces herself, summoning water to snake around her sharp claws.
"I can't believe Sidon's married already! Come on. He's hitched to some random Zora girl we've never heard of? It doesn't sound like a union from love, y'know? And that, too, he doesn't talk much about her. I don't know; it sounds so fishy. That wasn't supposed to be a pun, by the way." A brown-haired Hylian woman clad in some strange mushroom hat walks into sight, and it seems she isn't alone. The woman's other companions stroll by, a pair of other Hylians complain, and another person in glasses fiddles with their leather satchel.
This group seems relatively young while they remain unabashed, glad to blabber, Khira thinks. Anger wells up in her as the group's voices had no intention of stopping with their ill-meaning talk. She knows that Yona could hear this noise. How could she not? Even a Bokoblin would understand their mad rambles.
"Well, I mean, Khole, we don't know much about Zora's politics, so I don't know if it may be an arranged loveless wedding," The glasses wearing sheepishly, state as they twiddle with short brown hair looking back at their friends. It seems this group was returning from visiting the East Reservoir.
"Amia, you're talking as if we know about our own. After all, our Princess had up and disappeared. Only Hylia knows where she is. Of course, she's nice, but if she were our Princess, she would try to reinstate the crown rather than twiddle around in Hateno. We've been in shambles for a hundred years, and only now are we starting to come back. If my great-grandparents could see how this panned out, they'd give Zelda a big lesson about responsibility. I know they lived on the outskirts of Castle Town. They saw she didn't put her all into protecting us from the Calamity." Another crude voice cuts into the cloud of gossip, and the tallest of the group groans. This one must be Khloe, according to them.
"Khloe, that's not nice. She does some things like building the school. I appreciate that, and even the fact she's somehow alive makes the older and more devout folks more invigorated." The shortest man answers the group, trying to reel in their chat, eyes darting around the wandering travelers.
"I like that she made the school too, but that's all our Princess does; twiddle around, now poof! She's gone along with her silent little knight throwing everyone in all corners of Hyrule for a loop," The mushroom-wearing Khole snorts, not taking the hint and wrapping her arm around the small man.
"Besides, there's only so much teaching can do if they don't know how to fight; you're dead. But I don't even know if this royal has done anything substantial to this, 'Zora Queen.' She appeared out of nowhere too, and I heard the women who had their little fan club are still reeling." Yona has had enough of this slander, slashing into the dancing streams around her hands, instantly dropping into the tide. The young Queen knew their last statement wasn’t true in the slightest, reminiscing the many moments the club members loudly fawned over her and the coupling.
The Zora, as she evades Chroma's eased guard, at brazen conversation in their Domain where these Hylians should be more mindful. These ignorant speculations about their Princess; they didn't see how Zelda collapsed to her knees, too choked on her grief to properly beg forgiveness from former King Dorephan and the royal line. When she emerged from the ruins of Hyrule Castle alongside Link, they didn't see the solemn strength and wisdom that welled behind those teary eyes, renewing her vow of protecting everyone no matter the cost.
But what pained her more was that, deep down, their prodding at the royal coupling hit a sore spot in her heart. The optimistic prince and herself had no say in their engagement. Of course, they had visited each other's kingdoms as young teens. Her heart never wavered in her affections for him and his people, but she often wondered what he felt when King Dorephan told him. The royals scarcely had time to talk and be with each other in private, away from others, along with helping the ill-stricken Zora from the sludge, repairing the Domain and Sidon becoming the Water Sage, and finally helping Link defeat Ganon.
Years after the Calamity and its sting aftermath, they grew dearly fond of each other. He changed, his glowing with unending enthusiasm and the occasional naivete all genuine. But he seemed to hide his deeper emotions from the public, even with his dear father. Either for fear that it would make him seem inexperienced or because he wished to truly earn the crown, Sidon's grown used to hiding his whole heart even now. Yona hoped she'd prove herself to him and eventually be blessed to reach those parts of his soul, knowing he was safe with her.
They've had many conversations about their situation and the future after Link helped Sidon slay the beast that floats in the sky. But old habits formed from grief and feeling inadequate die hard. The King still hides from the outside, so much so that he loathes to admit it. After the kingdom's announcement, she doubted if he truly loved her the same way as she did him as the century passed and their visits grew prevalent. Throughout their youth, they eventually graced each other with the title of a beloved friend.
Did his heart worry for her out of genuine care or for appearances or necessity? Did he yearn to have her beside him as his bride, Queen, and equal because he loved her? Would there be a day that Sidon would smile and proudly show his love to the world like Mei and Fronk?
Yona understood betrothal gifts were essential to the Hyrulean Zora culture, but she wasn't taught that way. Only learning how to mend the armor from other fish scales, her people learned a sacred courtship dance to show their interest. Yona summons her rapid heartbeat to the clearing out of the pooling water, allowing them to see her. Chroma whispers for Yona to stay but emerges from the pool trailing her Lady.
"Enough of your useless babble," The zealous guard seethes, lunging at the group from the overgrown shrubs. Jumping out of their skin, the rowdy quartet leap into each other's arms. They shudder like leaves, eyes firmly screwing closed, far too absorbed in their well-being.
The Zora spear inches away from the supposed root of all this meaningless noise, "You have shown an inexplicable disrespect and regard for both your Princess and our Queen. Your prattle proves nothing among you and your ilk. Your eyes will never see the true nature of these critical figures, and perhaps that is not your desire," Khira grits her sharpened teeth, even the air around them stilled in anticipation.
The grip on her spear tightens with every passing breath as the group hesitantly opens their eyes. The spear aimed at the frightened woman pulls back, and the guard's posture loosens, showing a reluctant sign of mercy and growling while pulling her weapon back. "But I will allow you this grace as well as one warning. You will not sully any of the royal's names here—especially Queen Yona. One would think that Princess Zelda's diplomatic nature would pass for all her subjects. Consider yourselves lucky. I want to avoid pushing more work on their Majesties, so relieving the burden of taking your tongues is out of the realm of possibility."
"Khira! Enough! Stand down." Yona calls out to her fearless attendant; in her mind, she notes how uncharacteristically aggressive the Zora woman is and how strange it is to see her threaten visitors. The Hylians take shaky steps back, looking at the emerging figure. Startled gasps erupt as the attendant glances over her shoulder. Faltering in her angered resolve, seeing the smaller Zora's displeased face. Lifting the sharp spear away, the Caregiver walks in front so the visitors can see her, bowing her head to the cluster of people as they stay silent. The royal could feel their pensive eyes staring into her as if trying to figure her out by tearing her apart.
"I sincerely apologize for my attendant; this is the first time I've seen her act out in such an unsightly manner. This will not go unreprimanded, while this flagrant threat does not deserve quick forgiveness. Please do not think lowly of us. I seem to have pushed my guard to the brink of exhaustion, so much so that one believes violence would be the answer if I can do anything to appease you. You need only ask, and I will do it. But know that I am Queen Yona." The Queen steadies her breath as she lifts her head, jewelry gently clinking. Scanning their faces, Yona watches the group hastily cover their jabber. However, their words have done their damage making Yona feel miserable but still overwhelmingly riddled with uncertainty.
"O-oh, no, no, no, we're sorry. Uh, you don't need to do that. It was immature of us to talk like that. Sorry, you heard that, but you seem nice, but we're just going to go."
The group leader nervously chirps up as she eyes the serious Khira. Another ally of Khloe's speaks up, nodding and clinging to each other's arms. "Thanks for not hurting us. Bye." Making their escape, crossing the connecting bride to the city. Yona's forlorn eyes linger on their retreating forms.
"What was that? That wasn't an apology at all! And Khira, what in the world got into you." Chroma scoffs as she perches her weapon on her back, eyes frantically scanning her two friend's faces trying to understand them. The younger guard pouts to herself and quietly mutters, "And you always get after me for not bringing shame to the Zora name..."
Despite the rowdy crowd's departure, the young women felt the air thick with tension. Meekness gnaws at Khira as she ducks her head down, too ashamed of her reckless actions and making Yona speak for her. She would indeed badger the younger guard, but to think she would act so brutishly was beyond hypocritical.
"I am profoundly ashamed that you had to see that, your Majesty. But saying I feel guilty for silencing their larks would be a lie. I will not tolerate such belligerence towards you and things they don’t wish to comprehend." The Zora grits her teeth, spitting out a response, rising to look at her liege's back. The young woman partially turns, sapphire flecks eyes glance at her taller lady-in-waiting, Yona dutifully declares.
"Allowing emotions to cloud and open the way to conflict isn't like you, and I understand your reasoning. I find myself appreciating the wild gesture, but I will not tolerate any of your outbursts. Lest you want to stay in my service, being the head of state, is to preserve the peace to all that come and go from Zora's Domain, even to those without respect. We must rise above and show kindness," Light Green's side fins sway as she shakes her head. Yona's hand waved for Chroma and Khira to follow suit. She swallows the biting taste in her mouth, cupping her hands before her chest. She absentmindedly picked at her claws; the sound of clicks enveloped the girls as they fell in line, resuming their protective flank. Exchanging worried looks between each other.
"This should go without saying, but please don't tell Sidon. He's been busy, returning from his valiant battle alongside the other sages protecting the land and handling a kingdom. Something so small should not plague his mind. I'm certain I will forget this soon enough." Yona sharply inhales as she tries to lift her spirits, but her words drip despondence. Her heart twists in painful knots, knowing she's going back on her promise of being truthful and open to her love.
"We won't breathe a word." The duo candidly answer as they make their way across the pristine bridge. While a robust familiar figure happily waves in the distance, welcoming them blissfully unaware of what occurred.
The sinking feeling did, indeed, not disappear from Yona's mind. Their words echo in her head, and the festering sense of inadequacy and insecurity lurks in the corners of her mind. It had been a few days since her encounter, and she knew allowing such heated words to get to her was folly. Yona couldn't help her mind slipping into the depths of her doubt. Even to the point, her melancholic air alarmed the elderly councilmen and Exalted Dorephan. The new Queen lacked her signature sweet nature, replacing her charming aura with an absent mind.
While busy creating safe pathways and removing the debris strewn along the narrowing passage from the mainland to their Domain. Sidon grew worried for his Yona. It's been hard not to notice his citizens concerning whispers about her well-being circled the Domain, and his dearest barely stayed by his side after she visited Mipha Court. She seemed off-put and fidgety whenever he was near her. Even the little ones seemed fretful with Yona's unusual behavior, and her attendants acted peculiar, seemingly hiding something.
The warm afternoon sun beams down on Zora's Domain, an occasional breeze passing through his magnificent home. It's almost ironic that the weather contrasts the new King's worrisome thoughts.
"Naydra's eyes, What am I missing?" Sidon mutters, standing before the pristine balcony overseeing the Domain. His sharp eyes longingly linger on Zora's soft green form, watching her speaking with the fisherman, Mei. He was beyond glad the forgetful citizen returned from the Floating Fish Island. Admittedly busy, ensuring his best soldiers to Lookout Landing returned, Sidon remains steadfast in giving his people protection and grace as those before him. He was dutiful in looking after his people's well-being.
So many things happened in a whirlwind of events; first, it was the Upheaval, then the vile sludge desecrating his home, and finally, his unexpected coronation and marriage to his beloved, then assisting Link in his fight against Ganon. The royal Zora ponders if it was as overwhelming to her as it was for him. The young King certainly has no regrets, but the stress of it all tends to invade his mind even when the epic battle has ended.
Rambunctious giggles erupt from below, stirring him from his daze. His sharp eyes flicker between Mei waving to the young King and his darling Queen, now turned up to see him. A magnetic force pulled their eyes to meet, and he could feel his heart stop, breath hitch in his throat when a ghost of a bashful smile graced Yona's lips. Her golden adornments shine, accentuating her beautiful features. His cheeks flushed against his cold skin, and a heart-stopping smile painted his face. It could be only them in the world.
The moment broke too soon for his liking as Yona shyly averted her gaze. It looked like the floor was more enticing to her now; soft laughter rolled from him, uncaring of the whispered swoons and muttering about young love. Unable to tear his gaze away from Yona as the giggling fisherman bows and parts from the royal Zora. Nodding to something Mei told her, the young woman walks the stairs. Sidon's eyes follow her each step, and soon she stands by his side, making the void of her absence the past few weeks far more prominent than before.
"May we speak in private?" Yona's soft, tantalizing voice asks, her eyes peering up at him with sorrow and meekness clouding her usually cheerful aura. Sidon observes her expression, questioning what caused her heart such sadness.
Nodding to her request, he pauses, thinking of places for a private conversation. He knew the open grandeur of the Domain wasn't much for a solitary chat, so they had to travel somewhere close in case a danger arose but far enough so no curious ear listened. Coming to a solution, the crimson Zora answers, nodding to his Yona. "Of course, I'll have the guards notify my father if they need us."
The couple stroll beside each other to young Zora guarding the stairs to the Throne room. "If anything arises from my absence, find Queen Yona and I atop the Veiled Falls. Please tell the Exalt, thank you." Sidon instructs, giving them a polite smile and watching the faithful sentries obediently comply. In the corner of his peripheral vision, he hears the young woman's gasp. Yona’s eyes widen slightly at his chosen place.
"Now, shall we depart, Yona?" Sidon looks to his side. She doesn't meet his gaze but nods all the same. 'Still absorbed in her thoughts. I wish to know what's plaguing you so, my love.' The perplexed Zora thinks to himself, making their short journey to the Falls.
The two sit on the edge of the Veiled Falls. Sidon surveys the landscape before them, the glistening architecture proudly towering as his head turns. An overwhelming sense of pride and wonder swirls in him, overlooking his gorgeous home. The loud water tirelessly tumbles down the Falls, creating white noise and protecting them from potential eyes and ears, allowing them to speak as they please. The extroverted man feels the atmosphere melt away into a reflective air. His sweet empathic nature shines through, but so does a familiar nervousness, worrying he may say something unintentionally unkind. It's truly a marvel how Yona's mere presence reduced him to his shyer, composed side like they were still children.
"I know that I have been busy and thus haven't been with you by becoming crowned king, but it doesn't allow me to negate my husbandry duties… Now love, what plagues you so?" He tenderly questions his wife, seeing her steady her breath, and comes to terms with whatever tortured her.
"My King," Yona starts to wonder aloud, trying to gather the scramble of words in her mind. Her hands are cupping each other in her lap tense, and her shoulders tighten. While Sidon's brow furrows, she never addressed him formally like that before, not even when they were little ones. "I find myself wondering, has our union been too hasty? Am I truly the one you want besides you? Surely someone far more courageous would be a better match." Concern coupled with mere shock overtook him. His eyes widened, looking at her words. He desperately wants to cut her off and ask her, but he holds his tongue, wanting her to feel safe with him. 'Where in the world did this come from?'
"Those days ago, my attendants and I came across a group of people that brought up the validity of our union. I know it's foolish to listen, and in hindsight, it’s minuscule compared to the intrepid battle you returned from only months ago, but I want to be truthful about it." The woman explains. Yona stops turning to look at him. Vulnerability is etched on her face as he patiently waits for her sign to speak.
"If this has made you worry for this long, it’s no small deal. So that's what you've been dwelling on. Do you doubt my feelings?" He politely utters out, the sick tightening in his chest as he waits in anticipation of her answer. Yona says nothing, in silent agreement. She scolds herself for hurting him so much as he rises from his spot, holding his crimson hand for her. The young woman reaches for him as they stand together.
"You recall the importance of this place, yes? This was the last time I saw my sister alive. Days after, we came to mourn after being informed about my sister being trapped in Ruta. I ran to this place to drown in my tears, where no one could hear me. My desperate attempts to swim upstream, this mighty Fall, fell flat. Then miraculously, you came. You found me in the pool,"
"Crying together in each other's arms, I remember. I asked where you were, and I found you here trying to hide." Sidon's large hands engulf Yona's as she jumps in. The young woman knowing this story well, caressing her thumbs around his palms.
"Yes. At that moment, I saw someone I could call a friend. I discovered someone who could see all of me without fearing judgment. Someone that looked at the depths of my sadness and allowed me to grieve unashamed. Someone that I could share my accomplishments with. We were arranged to marry, but I was elated when my father informed me. I could not imagine anyone else by my side. You've continued to be a beloved companion. I fell in love with your compassionate, intelligent, selfless nature. Your ability to know what's troubled me among countless others made me want to return the favor tenfold," Sidon tenderly divulged, finally noticing Yona meet his eye.
The pure warm adoration in his remarks left the doubtful royal speechless. Strings of wispy white clouds pass overhead, shading the two. "I want to continue growing alongside you as the years pass. I want you to know that I will always love you. You, Yona, Are the only one I want to have on my side. I love you with all my heart." Sidon slips his hand away and brushes underneath her side fins, cupping her cheek and stroking her face as if trying to dispel all her worries from her mind. The smaller Zora nuzzles into his calloused hard-working hand, feeling at peace now unyielding to keep her gaze away from his steady eyes.
"I-I should not have allowed a stranger's words to cause such dismay. I'm sorry for doubting your devotion," She pauses, golden eyes fluttering closed, smooshing her cheek into his hand, angry at herself for significantly impacting how she acted towards him and those in the Domain.
"Will you forgive me?" Shame and relief wash over her, watching Sidon nod at her inquiry. His arm snakes around her waist while tugging her close to his chest. She hears the rapid pounding of his heart, feeling tears threaten to spill from her eyes. Willing them away momentarily, she peels from his broad chest, tugging at the gleaming silver prince his chest piece down.
Standing on her tippy toes, Yona wraps her arms around him, leaning into him while Sidon's finned arms securely encase her body in his. They share a sweet moment, their eyes slowly shut, and their lips collide in a kiss. Sparks fly across the two as Sidon deepens the kiss leaning toward her soft lips, wishing to melt into her touch. Quicken groans and gasps escape their lips, and hot puffs of air roll onto their mouths as they kiss again. It felt like gravity pulled them together again, as if it was torture to stay apart for even the air.
Savoring the taste of salt on their tongues, their lungs burn, taunting them to breathe momentarily. Begrudgingly, Yona pulled away. First, labored rasps heave from her petite frame, now noticing that Sidon lifted her from the ground pressing her close to his chest and sitting in his arms. The loud drumming of their hearts pounds in their ears as they silently look at each other. The noisy waterfall downs out their unsteady breaths as they slowly feel a smile perk on their warm faces.
"That wasn't an answer, my love." Mischievously scolding her loyal husband, Yona laughs to herself as he feigns cluelessness. She doesn't want to let go, reveling in his arms and in the love he gave her. "It wasn't? Well, I might need more time to convince you then." Sidon releases a husky chuckle, his voice a tinge of playfulness and desire, his eyes crinkling as his charming smile shines down at Yona, bringing her close again to steal another kiss.

◦ Hah. He should’ve known never to let his guard down. He should’ve known that his childhood friend turned-lover had some plan to overturn him. If only he had been more skeptical and wasn’t naive in his youth. Looking back, Leona knew that he had no idea how long everything was in motion or the drastic lengths to manipulate you would go. You were the kid of some no-name royal guard employed by his family.
Leona never bothered to remember your mother’s name or cared for any of the whispering servants. Why should he care about learning their names if they refused to meet his gaze, much less be comfortable in the same room? Despite his infamous reputation in his youth, you always seemed to worm your way into his life. If only he knew that everything was going according to plan.
◦ Your mother bought you to the royal palace per the Queen’s order. Why Leona’s sister-in-law gave that command still puzzles him. But it wasn’t like he gave up without a fight, “Leona Kingscholar, you will do this. You must learn to incorporate yourself with others, the citizens, children your age.” The queen’s cold stare bore into the young boy. It wasn’t full of hate nor full of love but brimming with conviction and authority.
So he was presented with an impressive lineup of potential ‘friends’ his age, feeling a grueling headache come one, looking at the scared prey Leona picked, and begrudgingly allowed you, the royal guard’s child, in. Years passed, and he found himself considering you… a friend or something more.
◦ It was painstakingly slow to see his walls around himself fall, and to be quite honest, you never intended for things to spiral so deep into the rabbit hole. Even as a child, you thought the second prince was an egotistical rich brat, even if he was a royal. He wasn’t the prince your mother swore to protect, but still, he was of royal lineage. She never liked him, and it seemed mutual from your mother recounting the youngest prince always treated her and the other servants horribly.
Soon you saw just how pitiful and self-deprecating yet narcissistic. The ungrateful Leona was a walking contradiction even in his youth. The moment that your hate burned the brightest and the light flicked was when Leona ranted to you about how horrible his life was. Being the second son was hell on earth. Riches meant nothing. How could he say that when people in their kingdom were dying in worse conditions, starvation and droughts ravaged the slums hidden in the alleyways hiding from the sun? He could’ve done something to alleviate their pain, his people but no, he settled wallowing in the cruel hand life dealt to him, the beast-man would never assume the throne, but that wasn’t an excuse to let his people rot. You’re always wondering how Ruggie stays by his side once the duo attends NRC.
◦ Leona always knew your companionship was a double-edged sword, but deep in his heart, maybe he did know you’d hurt him, but he always pushed that sinking twisting feeling in his stomach because damned hope that you planted into his soul. However, that changed ever since he found your bag filled with handfuls of golden coins, vibrant gems, and wads of paper money, meeting his narrowed gaze.
One such stolen treasure grabbed his attention. He gingerly picked it up and inspected the jewelry; bringing it to his eyes, Leona hissed as his grip tightened. You unknowingly decided to steal his late mother’s talisman necklace, made from colorful beads, shells, and carved gold woven on a broken string. The prince grits his teeth, his fist around his mother’s broken necklace, no doubt leaving indents in his palm from how tight he’s clenching his hand. He had no idea what you were using his riches for, was it for yourself or others, or were you doing it for shits and giggles. Either way, he was impressed by your mere audacity. But you crossed a line, destroying one of his mother’s necklaces for the tiny golden speck, was it? Leona’s revenge plots cycled in his head as he settled on one option.
After that little discovery, you saw how your boyfriend acted even lazier with his money and bought you things that Leona generally teases you about, yet never bought you those items. Perhaps he was growing out of the self-pity party he’s held for himself. That made your heart skip a beat. Now you weren’t stupid to blindly disregard his looks or his mind. He was devilishly handsome with a sharp tongue, but you hated him. Leona’s looks and mind meant nothing.
◦ You used the dorm leader’s riches while he was out playing in Night Raven College, and you stayed in touch with the royal family, walking in your mother’s footsteps of protecting the King and Queen. Hah, you wondered what your mother would think if she saw you. You knew that she didn’t like Leona, but if she were alive, she would surely beat you into an early grave that you were sure of. Her disappointment would have been if her strength didn’t speak for itself. Ah, well, no use dwelling on what-if scenarios. Staying over at the palace, your bag clinks as you grasp the gilded contents and heavy it over your back. You turn to…
◦ An annoyed tsk makes your heart drop immediately, the blood in your veins meeting the prince’s hardened glare. Luscious green eyes stared holes into your skull as you scrambled to say something. Anything but your mind draws a blank as the third year walks silently toward you. Somehow, his silence scared you more than his fiery rage as he approached you, now standing infant of you. His hulking figure blocks the door, and darkness in the room obstructs your vision, but that doesn’t matter as your grasp on your bag falters. Leona snarls, “Get out. I’ve let you steal from me for years. Now, I’m done playing your game. Scram before I lose my temper.”
“You’ve known for years?” You emphasize as your brain scrambles, only uttering a dumbfounded question.
“Now. Out.” He ignores your question, and you scatter like a scared mouse. Your greed mixed with your hate for the man before you as you made sure you weren’t followed.
◦ Befriending Kalim was a breeze, or so you thought. The white-haired heir had an intricate way of ensuring his emotional safety. Even if it was subconscious, he was always the cheery, happy-go-lucky type. Still, he danced around deep personal questions pushing away any true emotional bond. He had a talent for making one seem like you know all of him, yet upon deeper introspection, you can't say anything substantial about him. It was pretty strange, but maybe it was a coping mechanism from growing up in his shoes. Jamil's protection over Asim was an entirely different problem, but you didn't blame the second in command's slow apprehension to trust you. Viper's stern and cold behavior were heavy, sharp, and unrelenting. Akin to a knife being held up to your throat. Every time your eyes met his in the presence of Kalim. It was foolish to imagine someone like you being for his ward to an unknown magicless person.
◦ Ever since Kalim bounced into your life, you were thrust into his problems with being so painfully oblivious yet meant well. His pushy and overbearing ways suffocated your every move whenever he saw you in the hallways, or he'd have Jamil invite you to a grand banquet. You could see how his heart shattered into millions of pieces when you told him about Ramshackle's horrid living conditions that you and Grim had to live with daily. You almost spat your food in his face when he offered to give you some of his gold to renovate the drab house, you never thought he'd be so open to giving you a portion of his fortune, but then again, it was sweet naive Kalim. It was odd, but it sparked a lightbulb as fast as Jamil's lightning-fast reflexes hitting the white-haired boy's shoulder. But that didn't stop you from trying to set your hastily planned together, but…
◦ Then Jamil's overblot, then the other dorm leader's magical breakdowns happened, and finally, Ramshackle got fixed up by the VDCs and Idia's shared compensation for demolishing your house. That was one thing out of the way, and it smoothed things over a little, but there’s a small seed of bitterness recalling the whole fiasco, not to mention Crowley's negligence when finding your way back home. Are you able to return home? Or would you be stranded in Twisted wonderland without a penny to your name or identification? Your existential crisis was abruptly interrupted by the incoming ball of energy that burst into your living room, and it looked as if Jamil wasn't there to guard him.
“I saw you looked blue in History class and wanted to come to check on you. Is everything ok?" Kalim innocently asked as he slowly invaded your bubble. You paused before you said anything until a thought sparked. You suppress a devious smirk straining against your cheeks. You told the boy everything. –Methodically wording your plight so that the ruby-eyed man's heartstrings are enough but still omitting the motivation of why and you knew how he would be the one to fix your worries but not in the way he thought. Your strife was real, but the truth was stretched. If you were going to be stranded here, you would ensure you were well off in this material hell hole.
“I'm scared... You know I don't have anything to my name here, so I guess I’m dreading what comes next. Crowley's no help saying he's trying to find my way home, and I don't know what to do once I'm done here at Night Raven. Grim and I would still be together. But the more I think about this whole thing, the more I think I don’t want to be stranded here. I…”
“Don’t worry about that. I promise to help you and Grim out. I’ll take care of you.” Kalim uttered, rushing you for a comforting, quick hug. His surrounding warmth felt nice. He brought you to his chest for a moment in his toned arms. The second year rose from the couch apologetically, “I gotta go, I promise Jamil I’d visit quick so he wouldn’t burst into the dorm, but you’re safe with me.”
◦ You wondered why Jamil didn’t use his UM on you if he was that suspicious of your relationship with Asim. But it dawned on you that perhaps Jamil didn’t think you were this brooding like him, or the raven-haired man did know about your plot and decided that his cooled fierce loathing reignited for the naive man was more important than supposed generational loyalty. To think your plan worked for this long was astounding. It’s been about six years after your little soapbox performance worked to a T. Jamil had reservations about Kalim’s sudden protective and attentive nature towards you, but what real damage would you do? You had no connections to any threats for blackmail in this world, he could easily use his UM to create a divide, but you showed no reason for him to do such a thing. But that didn’t mean you were out of the woods so many times. You’ve often walked in on Jamil openly prodding the young man about his motivations and thoughts. Only for Kalim muttering some promise that he made and that you meant something to him, it did warm your heart eavesdropping that he held you in high esteem.
You and Kalim got together in that short span of your academic years. Maybe two years tops since you bore your insecurities into him. Now, six years later, you’ve moved to Kalim’s homeland with Grim, continuously giving into his rose-tinted illusion of a happy relationship freely. It was like an unknowing business transaction now that you thought about it. He would buy whatever you wanted whenever you’d bat your eyes at the former dorm leader. You, in turn, gave him kisses, hugs, and a shoulder to lean on when he was down or a laugh. He trusted you. Which was adorably misplaced, but it wasn’t like you’d tell him that or Grim. The little gray beast was more than receptive when Kalim took the duo in, mouthing that he was finally treated like the powerful magician he was. The tiny monster didn’t have the faintest idea and unintentionally helped cover your buying habits.
“Kalim! Buy me more deluxe tuna cans. We’re all out!” On more than one occasion, Grim would burst into the heir’s office, yelling about his desires. He loved being spoiled rotten by his minion’s boyfriend, if that’s what humans call whatever you have going on with the pearl-haired man.
◦ Everything was perfect. You had a rhythm to cover your tracks but still sate your greed, buy a few expensive things one month, have a drought, so to speak, for the next few months, and if you felt like someone was getting wind of your spendy financing. You’d simply stop everything and get the bare necessities, and it wasn’t like you were a horrible human outside your greed. Helping around the Asim mansion, trying to make a foothold into people’s minds that you were kind, sweet, and, most importantly, genuinely in love with the new master of the house. While some part of you did care for Kalim, it wasn’t in the way he loved you, his qualities of being obnoxious and nosey when it came to your wellbeing ever since Night Raven got on your nerves but playing your cards right, you’d get what you wanted without a worry.
◦ You thought you’d stay at the top like this, having a sweet, rich boyfriend and anything you could ask for. What else can you want? That was until one day, Grim approached you, stunned to silence by something. His tone was what alarms blare in your mind as gentle gray eyebrows crease, and your name rolls from his mouth, practically soaked in concern.
“Hey, I have been thinking, how did you get us this setup? I’ve always wondered, but I don’t know. It feels weird, not that I’m complaining, but something feels off…. Yeah, we’re spoiled, but it feels wrong?” The gray beast trails off as bright blue eyes watch you perched on a lavish leather chair with a book in hand. Soft lights suspend from the ceiling, and large stone pillars and walls create an eerie atmosphere as an eyebrow raises at the beast. Against your better judgment, your heart spikes, gripping the spine of your now-discarded novel. Trying to formulate something, you curse Grim’s sudden consciousness. If only his greed were on par with yours for a bit longer.
“Wrong? Wrong how, from where I see it, it’s how two people love each other. They want to make sure the other is happy and safe,” You let every syllable slip from your lips, shifting your weight to sit upright.
“Do you love him, though? Cause I never hear you love him, though. Deuce and Ace told me you never speak about Kalim and never stay with him for a long time. You always buy things at weird times.” Grim cuts you off as he pushes on, pressing you for more answers and showing his strange observant side. Huh, when did he become so adult?
“Why are you asking me these things so suddenly? Of course, I love him, Grim.” Shooting back, getting increasingly defensive and annoyed at the monster’s incessant questions. Your hesitation and deflection were your cursed downfall from paradise and into their trap. A test of your loyalties of sorts, Grim, the unfortunate sap, was reeled in by someone that wasn’t done protecting the Asim name from another snake.
◦ “See, my son? I told you,” Kalims father’s voice reverberates in the grand room as he slinks out of a covered wall. He comes into view with Jamil’s form sticking to the background, and Kalim emerges, ruby eyes jolting to your face and then to his father’s back. A cold sweat breaks from your forehead as your eyes frantically jump face to face trying to piece things together. How did they know you had everything under control? Scattered thoughts clutter your brain until the former patriarch’s jeweled hand raises to stop any possible excuse you have up your sleeve. Kalim felt numb, in disbelief and shock. A cold chill ran through his body, and his face crumbled as he stuttered, “This has to be some dark joke. Right, but this is too much even for you. Tell me this isn’t true: my father was paranoid and protective like he’s always been over me, that your purchases are just random things, that you’re not some gold digger. That you do love me.” Breathless and with adrenaline spiking your pressure, you couldn’t find your voice. It was impossible to sweet talk your way out of this now that Jamil, Asims, and Grim were blocking your way out. You refuse to meet the pearl-haired man’s desperate eyes, and you shake your head an inch to the left and right. Kalim gasps as he shakes his head, still clawing at the pieces of what he thought was a perfect romance. The older Asim speaks up, and you curse your carelessness. You should’ve known that his father had something more up his sleeve that maybe he knew ever since he met you those years ago.
“Kalim, I’ve told you this time and time again. That something about them reeked and wasn’t up to anything good. But you wouldn’t listen to me now, did you? Now, look at this mess.” Kalim’s father heaves a sigh as he stares into your soul, those eyes you refuse to meet dropping to the pristine floor. A cold jolt claws up your back, and you can hear your heart drumming in your ears. It was so loud you wondered if the men could hear the deafening rhythm. Jamil took full control of his position, being shielded by the two influential men’s figures and your weakness.
He weaves behind the men, and finally, his nimble feet carry him to behind the couch, bringing out his magic pen, poised to strike. Kalim speaks, “I can’t have anything, can I? the last thing you hear before getting knocked out by Jamil.
◦ The famed Vil and yourself, you've always known each other, being children in the acting business. In the golden age of youth, he was your co-worker. Of course, he always had been typecast as the villain, even when he was older. While you grew, the industries now used you as an extra in the background. No longer finding that youthful flair in you, leaving you to minor roles. You found yourself scoffing at how you first met just thinking about it– You first bumped into him while re-reading the script before stumbling into the wrong dressing room for rehearsal. You loved being Vil's friend. Of course, he was cold, and that untouchable charm was always there, but your shared youth made foraging a friendship a walk in the park. At that age, you honestly didn't mind the second-rate roles that latched to you. All you knew was that you were on the silver screen and endless praises from friends and family welcomed your senses.
◦ But eventually, the veil over your eyes started to lift as the years passed, the familiar praises from your friends and family dwindled, and sick rottenness festered in your heart. You tasted the fame, its delectable poison sat impatiently on your tongue, and by God, there was a hunger in your eyes. That ravenous lust grew as you craved the taste of more recognition. All eyes would be on you, the sounds of their praises, admirations and the looks of desperation etched onto their faces whenever you walked by. You craved it all. You thirsted for it. Something Vil took for granted. It made your friendship blossom into something twisted romantic love.
◦ Somewhere in the depths of Vil's soul, he knew that you loved the attention and didn’t blame you for it. He recalled watching your interviews with another cast, and a stern look of indifference forever set your face in a mix of disinterest and hidden envy. You’d subtly jump into conversations when the reporter asked the main leads questions, and he knew that to you, Any attention was good attention. It disappointed and annoyed him, but he wasn’t one to judge. After all, he wanted the same thing, to stay on the stage as the hero, being permitted to stay until the curtain fell –to break out his typecasted villain role.
He understood your pain, even if it was a surface-level understanding, and he loved you, but that pure love changed the more he honed his senses on your vain habits. The dorm leader saw how you'd puff out your chest, your covert narcissism threatening to spill over your finely crafted demure mask. The bright lights, he grew numb to them and preened under so many eyes, and the screams for his attention were something you were determined to get one way or another. You were tired of putting all your hard work into your fruitless efforts and only being pushed on the bench, being an extra or, at best, a forgettable side character assisting the leading roles in a box office failure.
◦ There were always people in the media wishing for an idyllic friends-to-lovers dynamic that Vil and yourself had. Others wished someone like you would stop wiggling into the poisonous queen’s heart, spewing insults, cursing your name furiously, creating hate mail and love mail, and analyzing your acting skills and roles. It didn’t matter to you; it showed you that the thought of you was running over countless people’s minds. They didn’t forget about you, which is satisfying, though. You felt something was wrong with you for thinking about how wrecked people’s hearts for simply knowing that someone else had Vil’s.
Something is wrong with you, thinking to yourself as the phone in your hand lights up from a tabloid. Fans blew up the comments section with varied reactions. The top headline was “Is the hottest couple’s love more than gold? An insider scoop with an anonymous source says otherwise!” Though it did make things a little strained as you read the article, the anonymous source’s quotes were a little too close to the mark for you to brush something like this off. But, maybe you were too sleep-deprived. Vil always told you never to pay any attention to people that devote their lives to gossiping about others. It was another thing you got used to, coming from an average family, the younger you were, crippled with anxiety, always afraid of messing up and being eaten alive by the blinding lights watching you.
◦ Vil invited you on a luxurious date in Pyroxene when he was free from his academic duties for the winter break. It seemed like he caught wind of the tabloids, even if he never said anything. Despite how he presented himself to the public, he did spoil you from time to time when he wasn’t busy with work or school. Sometimes, the beauty swept you away on dates with limited PDA, but you didn’t mind that either. –Going out for a fancy dinner in the wintry season and showing off all your fashionable and chic clothing sounded terrific, so what if you asked Vil for some money from time to time? He clearly wouldn’t mind a little bit gone. He was so arrogant with his wealth too. It showed you how different the worlds you came from, a distance that stretched out as far as chasms despite how close you were.
Grabbing your bulky and form-flattering winter jacket from your full closet, it took a while for you to settle on the finer details but after a few moments. A pleased sigh settles on your lips. Slowly approaching your full body mirror and double-checking yourself in the mirror, a smile notched on the corners of your mouth, and you made your way out of your apartment. You were prancing off to your dinner date with your celebrity boyfriend.
◦ Once you finally make it to the fancy restaurant, you are simply amazed at the fine detail and modernism which inspired the eatery. Shedding your elegant fur-lined jacket and leather gloves, winding your head around the crowded rooms, you quickly found the blond-haired beauty already sitting at your table. Already hearing the whispers leaving your wake, your gaze calmly scanned and met their curious gossiping stares. Gliding to your chair, you flash a charming smile at Vil as he returns the gesture.
Effortlessly classy, as you thought to yourself, reaching out to the complimentary glass of water to your lips and then setting it down. The glass brightly shone as you lifted it. Vil’s eyes lingered on the glass, then fluttered to your gaze. Classical music sets the atmosphere’s mood as Vil reaches a hand out to yours in a subtle show of affection, one that you reciprocate. A deep sigh leaves the blond beauty. That’s odd. He usually never does that; you catch his gaze in yours as his hand swallows your hand in his until his nimble fingertips entrap your hand. His grip tightened with a horrifying speed and even more strength around your wrist. You can feel your soul leaving your body as you try to keep yourself together so no one will see this unflattering side of you.
Vil leans over the small table to whisper dangerous words. His blond and purple hair covers his face and yours as he brings his lips near your ear, so to outsiders, it seemed that the young man wanted to sneak some affection. You knew better now.
“I have something to tell you, so listen closely to what I’m telling you. You wanted to play this game, and now you have it. I bet you had it in your head that you could take all the money you want from me and show everyone how little you care once you had your fill of me. But that’s not how it works now. Before you ask, I was the one that told those tabloids, of course, under a pseudonym. You’ve always dreamed of glitter and gold, I was willing to let you change your ways, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll be like that. I’m giving you two choices. You and I will continue this ‘relationship’ peacefully in the next month, and this will all seem like things have run their course. But if you don’t, I will ensure that you will never forget me or what you did. My people will ruin you.”
But the way Vil’s eyes gleam dangerously, you knew he did something to your drink. His hand never lifts from your wrist as he sits back in his seat. A threatening smile upturns his rouge-colored lips, and his eyes never leave yours as you gulp down your nerves.
“Well, now that you say that, I can refuse?” No, you can’t even if you wanted to and the searing heat in your throat dies down.

I can't really decide which I like better so! I went with both! Monica’s birthday was on the 17th this month and I was planning on publishing/finishing up the design then but a lot of things came up :( but here she is in the Union Birthday fit!
When making a roughy idea of what the The Ramshackle dorm emblem to me for Monica is would have the white striped curtains draping the sides, the bottom would be a scroll with the word Ramshackle and the center piece would be an old lamp head with blue fire lighting the lamp with ghostly hands reaching for the handle. At least in my personal opinion xD
