This is around the time when I got into 30secondstomars, 2006. It was my sophamore year of high school and one of the "hot items" was the Zune (And yes, they are still around somewhat). And on it, there was a music video for "The Kill". After watching the video 50 some times, I was hooked to 30secondstomars. 

I went on a conquest to hear and view all of their videos and I came across "From Yesterday". I was blown away, I had never even known that a music video could be so expansive and full of such a wondrous story. Nor did I know what a short film was. It was around that time that I began to waver from the music path I had been headed down and turned to film.

Since then I have worked on tons of short films and features. But one thing is for sure: seeing that video changed my life. It was, and still is the coolest thing I have ever seen. And it opened my mind to the thought of having a career within the movie industry. No matter how many projects I work on, short films/ music videos are always the most rewarding sets to be on. I find that everyone is on the same level on them and believes in the project. Plus the crews are typically smaller, and it makes an introvert, such as myself, feel more at ease. But that is another story for another day.
