The S20 Vs. the 11 Pro
Both of these phones are popular flagship phones. But which one is better? Well, we’ll talk about that here.
Samsung took a page out of the playbook from Apple, and this is the baseline model. It is really good, has a huge battery, and it is pretty good. It has a great camera, probably one of the best in the business.
In the other corner is the iPhone 11 pro, which while it isn’t the smallest phone, it certainly packs a punch and is also the best iPhone out there. It’s got good cameras, a great battery life, and some reliable hardware and software support to make this a contendable competitor. It also has face IS, one of the benefits to authentication and biometrics.
The S20 does come with a great display, a small O-punch display, the triple rear camera, the 4000 mAh battery, and also built-in 5G.
But, the iPhone 11 pro comes with a great camera array, the typical Apple goodies including AirDrop and iMessage, better battery, stable software after a lot of updates, and of course, secure and reliable face ID for those looking to have that.
But they do come with their cons. The S20 is the most expensive of these phones, and it costs a pretty penny. If you just recently upgraded, this might not be ideal for you. The updates are spotty on this too, so it definitely can be a bit of a downside. It also is pretty big for a phone which is supposed to be small, which may not be a problem but if you have small hands you might struggle.
On the flip side, iOS is still not super customizable, and there’s that big ugly notch that we’re all tired of. It doesn’t use the USB-C charging, and it isn’t 5G compatible, so it is a bit lackluster in some cases.
While both of these phones are really good, you may want to look at what you’re planning on using it for before you make a decision.
The camera isn’t as good on the 11 pro as it is on the S20. S20 is also quite expensive and it comes with all of the bells and whistles, but it doesn’t get a ton of updates.
But at the end of it all, you have to look at these two smartphones as a sign that the times are changing, and those who are on one ecosystem won’t dramatically change to another, unless of course, they’re really just tied of the Apple or Android system. This also won’t happen if you’re going from one device to another, but it is cool to see leaders drive this forward, creating functional, beautiful, and also some amazing devices.
These are both premium phones too, so another thing to keep in mind. If you did just recently upgrade from an Apple or Android device to another one, and you’re not ready to do it again, then don’t. both of these phones are good sure, but there are still some powerful contenders on the market to look at as well.
