Shelties to miss the Super Bowl by Steve Via Flickr: Yes America…We know that you have the big big big game on Sunday…..And yes…Oh boy…How we wish and would love to be there sharing the BIG action with you ….And at the interval, watching Jennifer Lopez and Shakira perform whilst we eat a hot dog or two…Washed down with a non-descript brand of tepid light beer…..Then to watch the 2nd half of the game going into a nerve tangling phase and heading all the way right down to the wire…. WOW..But our maths have let us down and the pennies just don’t seem to add up to anything like enough to get us there……But all is not lost….For as you can imagine and like many others….We do have live coverage here in the UK, to enable us to watch the game unfolding on the large screen smart TV……And although we will not have the electrifying atmosphere that the Hard Rock Stadium has in Miami….And the hot dogs may not taste as good as those in the stadium …At least the beer will be chilled !!!!!!……As for who is supporting Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.…..We have a bit of a spilt in the CraZyGang as the photo clearly shows…. I am not going to tell you which way….But as we clearly have some time to kill before the kick off ……The gang really wanted to share this view of the Devonshire countryside (Yes the river estuary might have deserted us as the tide heads Stateside along with the clear blues skies ready for the game) as a way of saying thanks America for sharing the Super Bowl spectacular with us….And don’t for one moment think that Duffy the bear is anyway responsible for the empty wine bottle As Di and I must take responsible for that….Hic

Shelties lay a Trap by Steve Via Flickr: When I told Halo Millie and Jazz over breakfast that they could not go down to the beach today because of reports of a ferrous sea monster terrorising the waters and beach, and scarring all beach lovers away…..But they told me that they refused to have the day ruined by some spoilsport monster and that is was about time that this so called ferrous sea monster was introduced to the Sheltie safe beaches for all…..And with that, they were gone to lay a trap to capture the ferrous sea monster……And as the norm with Halo plan….It was a simple yet a very effective one…..With Millie playing the defenceless scared lost beach pup…..With Halo and Jazz laying close by lightly covered by shingle to hide them, but ready to pounce the moment the ferrous sea monster came out of the sea to attack Millie…..The idea was then for the 3 Shelties to quickly surround the ferrous sea monster and give it a triple blasting of rapid high pitch Shelties barks and yelps forcing the ferrous sea monster to plead for it to stop and to give itself up and promise to behave itself…..And as you can see from this local press cutting….The plan worked like clockwork leaving our 3 hero’s all looking very proud as they show off the now very friendly sea monster for all to see, and to declare the beach open for business again for all……

Shelties On The Dry Line by Steve Via Flickr: We have been away for a few days now….And already the beer fund is looking very shaky …..And the treat fund is if anything, is in a much worse state…..As for the guitar….That has been in hock for some time now, with no chance of pawning it back in recent times….(Much to the joy of the CraZyGang)….Ummmm……But the point is we have had to find an alternative way to raise some cash to help restore the beer and treat funds back to health …..So having put our best brains on the job, Halo came up with the idea of becoming Weymouth’s Gondolas and offering boat trips around Weymouth harbour ….And here is Halo Jazz Millie and Midnight doing there level best to drum up some trade…..(Maysie is not in the photo as she is busy working out on how to use the ticket machine)…..I will admit that our sea fairing skills might be lacking…..But we more than make up for that with our enthusiasm….And just remember dear reader if you are passing our way…We do not accept Visa or Mastercard…..But quite why I am telling you that for, I don’t know….As Millie assures me that you being so special to the gang, that you get to ride for free….

Sheltie Pantomime by Steve Via Flickr: Well December is with us and the the pantomime season might well be with us..... But no matter how many time I tell the Guys...... “He’s behind you!” ...... They keep coming back with.... “Oh no he`s not!” ......... “Oh yes he is!” ..... Say I... “Oh no he`s not!” ...... Say they...... Hmmmmmm...... But like the wicked queen in Pantomime..... He might look as if he might cast a evil spell on the Shelties sometime soon...... But in truth... This wild goat who lives on the clifftops is in a friendly mood..... And the CraZy Gang are quite taken with his company..... And telling me that they really wanted him to share a photo with him...... But when after the photo they also asked about taking him home with us.... I had to give that a very firm reply..... “Oh no you’re not!”!!!!!!!!! ...... Even thought Di would have loved that....

Look ......I agree it was a silly move of mine to attempt a short cut though the forest of Dark on the eve of Halloween......And perhaps we should have stayed on the open track and walked around the forest.....But it is near on as far to go back as it is to carry on forward.....So let’s not hear any more silly talk of ghost and witches and things that go bump in the night.......And let’s get on our way shall we...... And don’t for one moment think that I believe in such things as scary Halloween stories that you hear .......But whatever you do CraZy Gang.....Keep the security ring of Shelties around me until we well clear and out of the Forest of Dark will you...... . I don’t know about you......But I love the way Midnight is hiding between Molly & Maysie-May and that hug Jazz is giving Misty (Sigh).....And by the looks on Maysie and Halo faces....Well.....Its well betide any ghost & witches we may meet, as they let loose a few well chosen Sheltie barks....Have fun tonight friend and we will see you soon.... Shelties.....Rest Easy

A country autumn trail walk that we taking awhile ago, that I was beginning to tire of....( Having been suffering with a bad back the last few day)......Was now making me feel in need of a sit down.....But despite the sunshine, the grass was still very damp from the morning dew......And anyhow.....The way I felt......I very much doubt, that once down I would be able to regain my feet...... there seemed little alternative but to carry on to where the car was parked still a long way off...As having walked this way many times before and knowing it was not blessed with a place to sit awhile.. ...But unbeknown to me.....The CraZy Gang had sensed my predicament (No surprise there) and rushed on ahead at apace.....Leaving me to be so surprised when I came wearily around a bend on the trail to be greeted by this sight ......And to be told not to ask the whys and how’s.....But to sit myself down on this seat that they made especially for me, and to ~rest easy~ with a long cool drink......And to this day....And you may not believe this.....That seat still remains the best seat that I have ever sat in .....Thank you CraZy Gang.....And Yes Duffy the Bear.....That includes you

Sheltie Autumn Fun

Molly Halo and Maysie-May have come up with the idea that if they rush my camera at very high speed.....That when I click the button on the camera to take the photo they will be drawn into the camera and teleported to your living room or wherever you are dear reader......As to..... if this Halo hairbrain idea actually worked.....I really have no idea......But I suspect it has.......As I can confirm that I am 3 Shelties short at the moment......So if you suddenly find that you are overrun with Shelties fun.....Could you please get your camera out and teleport them back to us......Many thanks

The Sheltie Halloween Party Via Flickr: As you can see……The CraZy gang have gathered in the enchanting forest to put the finishing touches to their planed Halloween trick or treat tour ……And I don’t know how you feel about this……But I would recommend that when they come knocking on your door (Which they are sure to do) that you go for the treat option…And NOT….I will repeat NOT the trick option…….As I have found to my cost in previous years…..(I will say no more on that one)……..They did offer to let me tag along and to share in the goodies…..But with so many scary things happening out there tonight…..I decided to take fright and decline the offer……Unlike Misty who seems more mystified about her surrounding that frightened ……..Where as Jazz is giving her snob look in her brand new hat….As for Maysie-May, she looking as if she is well up for it…..Molly is looking more than a little worried ……Midnight is saying oh no, not again …..Duffy is busy making new friends..…Where as Halo is saying…..Bring it all on……So without further ado……The CraZy Gang will soon be knocking on your door…..Have fun….And don’t worry….The CraZy Gang have a few treats of their own in the form of Sheltie love, that they will be giving, especially for you…..

Sheltie Autumn Call by Steve & Di Via Flickr: Look Guys…….I know it’s kinda of sad to see all the leaves falling all around us this autumn…..Especially as they look so beautiful in their autumn splendour at the moment……But yes…You are right in thinking that it will not be long before all the trees and bushes will be so bare and barren……And will stay so all over the coming winter months……But trust me when I say your idea of starting the Sheltie campaign …..~Stop the leaves falling organisation~ ……Is not one of your best brainwaves ……But I have to say that I think that it is original!!!!!!!……And I can see by your looks, on how important this to you, and that you all mean well……So I will abide by your wishes and put your campaign photo on line with your rally call……~Lets keep the leaves flying~….., and we will see on how many folk answer to your noble cause…..But don’t hold your breath …….

The enchanting scary forest story by Steve & Di Via Flickr: The dark autumn enchanting scary forest can be a frightening place for three little Shelties out all alone……Especially with Halloween witches ghosts and ghouls just around the corner……And it did not help the reading of ghost stories before bedtime last night….. So it will come as no surprise to you that rather than run a errand through the scary forest myself down to the local shop….I have decided to stay safe and sound in our cottage and send Halo Jazz and Misty to do the errand for me ……And by the looks of this photo…..It was a good job I did…..For as you can see……Something has spooked and attracted their attention deep down in the enchanting scary forest……But worry not dear reader……For apart from the fact that Halo the brave little Sheltie has the job in hand by letting off a fast volley of Sheltie barks to scare off any would be intruder in his protection of Jazz Misty……And…… As for the intruder…..I have to confess that It was me…..Laying in wake of them with my camera to get this photo…..Which as you can see…..Never got near to impressing Jazz and Misty one little bit….But hey…… Come on now……You never really thought that I would let you walk in this dark autumn enchanting scary forest all alone did you……No, I thought not

Sheltie barrier…. by Steve & Di Via Flickr: Last night during the Crazy Gang history lesson …..The name King Canute came up and how he vainly tried to hold back the incoming tide……..Well guess what…… Today the Crazy Gang have decided to succeed where King Canute failed by stopping the waves and tide sweeping up the beach to where I am sat in my multi coloured deck chair …………And as you can see…..They are giving it plenty of smiles and vocals in order to make me feel safe and that they have the job in hand and all is well.……OK…..I realise that there is a element of Mickey taking directed at me for my lack of trust in their effects by putting my guitar well above the high tide line and out of harm’s way……And if that sea gets any closer…..I shall soon be abandoning my multi colour deck chair and joining my guitar…….But for now, I will continue to put my trust in the Shelties and hold my station…. But looking at the gang……I don’t think I need worry….As they do look very confident……Either that or they know only too well that they can out run me too the dry line if things start to go wrong leaving me to paddle my way out…..Ummmmm!!!!!
