Always get the itemized list, babes. ALWAYS.
Not just for medical either. Ever got smacked with a huge ass fee for "damages" when you move out of an apartment that not just eats your security deposit but tries to take an arm and a leg as well.
Ask for the itemized list, you will be surprised how fast they come back with a "huh, that's weird, I can't seem to find where these damages are coming from" and let that shit go.
People WILL try to screw you on all kinds of routine and mundane shit. Don't let them.
The truth is that you already are what you are seeking.

Work sucks, I know
So I've been going through a rough patch these last couple of months. I left a toxic job that left me completely burnt out and drained. It was scary to leave without having something else lined up right away but I knew that if I stayed it would only continue to effect my mental and physical health negatively.
I gave myself a couple of weeks to just rest and be. I caught up on so many things at home that I let pile up and put on the back burner. I can't describe how amazing it felt to just do things and not be too exhausted to do much of anything else. I worked everyday for months at a time with very few days off and when I told my boss that I was burnt out I was basically told to suck it up.
This was a boss who claimed to support and listen to employees when they were having a tough time, but over time I saw through that lie. After I felt more rested I started to apply for jobs, and as job hunting goes, you apply to many and hear back from only a few.
On Friday I heard back from two jobs that both seem better on many levels. I had two zoom interviews today for both jobs and was invited to do a second in person interview for both later in the week. I may not be offered either or I may be offered both, but no matter what I know I deserve better than my last job and I will find better for myself.
I love myself and I will not let myself be exploited again.

Geez everything is so fucked up beyond belief and idk how to pretend/dissociate enough to act like I want to go on as "normal". I got a message on Indeed from a recruiter for an hr job and like if I respond and get an interview I don't know if I can act like this is something I'm even remotely interested in doing. Like when I literally do not care about the bullshit capitalist system and just wanna live in a cottage looking out to a meadow with my partner and my cats. I had an interview for a dog walking job because I genuinely missed it and didn't want to scream into the void every time I came home from work, but I didn't get it. This was also located in my neighborhood so I wouldn't have had to commute on the train which would have been ideal for many reasons. I know I have to work to make a living but I just want to do something where it doesn't feel like the life isn't being sucked out of me. It was strange timing to be let go from last job right before the pandemic hit butI was honestly thankful that it meant I didn't have to jump right back into finding another job. Ugh universe help a girl out. I just wanna make a decent living and be happy and eventually live in that cottage overlooking the meadow with my babe and my kitties.
So just throwing this here because I barely use this anymore, and idk if anyone is still reading. But anyway I had an exchange on fb tonight that left me annoyed and also dumbfounded. I basically asked if anyone knew of good places to get nice photo frames for an affordable price for some prints that I want to hang. I know affordable is relative but I think there is also a general price range to keep in mind when someone asks that. So one of the responses was someone asking me what I consider expensive and stated that they have spent $400 plus to get custom framing for art in their home. I just said that was too rich for my blood because I didn't know what else to say. So I wonder at what point and in what tax bracket you are in life to think that is an appropriate response to that question. I am definitely not rich by any means and I hope to be solidly middle class and afford a nice but not extravagant life for myself eventually. I just don't get it.
