Welcome to Earth | Barclay and Coulson
Fan-friggin-tastic. Another strange alien to be contained and dealt with. But at least this one seemed friendly enough.
"You’re in New York City, in the state of New York. Continent; North America. Planet Earth, the Solar System."
The words were precise, practical and to the point. Phil let his jacket rest across his arm, much to the horror of the junior agents who continued to train guns upon the young lady known as Langwen. There was something in this girl which compelled him to gentleness, the instinct to protect.
"Stand down," he ordered his men, and offered her a hand.
"Just tell me you control that fire, and we’ll be on our way."
langwen watches the man’s mouth move. she focuses on the words, but not what they mean. earth? the word jogs something in her memory; she knows she’s heard it before. but where is the question that escapes her knowledge. the other words, locations it seems, mean nothing but words to her.
her eyes drift to the men behind him, body tensing at their hostile nature. she hears the command to stand down, instantly appreciating the man who’d offered his jacket.
“i — i did. where are you going?”
"Not us - we," he explains simply, offering her a hand, "we want to take you with us. Just to be sure that you are safe, and we are safe too. It's not going to hurt. I will not let anybody hurt you."
Phil kept his voice calm. gentle. He didn't want anyone to hurt this young woman who was alone in the world now. Everything in him was to protect, to keep safe. That included Langwen.
