Loki worried his bottom lip over and over again with his right canine, a habit when he was thinking very hard about something important. He kept up his markings, even as she made nasty remarks about it and him. It wasn’t the first time he had unkind things said in his presence, he didn’t mind it so much. It was to be expected.

“They are runes. There is much lacking to these theories of Dr. Foster’s, but the only way I know how to complete them in through use of combining my knowledge of how our magic works and how your science does. The physics, in theory, is all the same, it’s just looking at it in two different ways and trying to translate one to the other or simply combine them,” he glanced toward her.

“Have you any working knowledge of physics… or magic, Cora?”

"Nothing more than the bits and pieces I occasionally have to record, so that'd be a pretty distinct no." replied Cora, more friendly than she'd anticipated. She told herself that she didn't give a rat's ass what he was doing, that it was all for the good of SHIELD science, another department's problem...but truthfully, she was curious. She was often left out of the loop when it came to projects. If it wasn't on a need-to-know basis, the agent was usually in the dark, but Loki created an opportunity for knowledge she'd never have otherwise. Evil sadistic ex-warlord or not, she wasn't going to let this go.

"After your little episode, everyone here was...apprehensive is the appropriate word, but scared shitless is more truthful-of magic, particularly your kind." Cora folded her arms over her chest, leaning in closer to examine Loki's work. She had expected to feel a cold draft as she closed in, but surprisingly, the god was average temperature, at least from where she stood.

"So, show me. If I can't understand it, you'll have an opportunity to boast about your other-worldly knowledge. You'd like that, wouldn't you?"

Ariel, Jane, Jasmine!

Ariel- Something that I would give anything up for.

I'd give my life for SHIELD. It's a promise I've made and intend to keep-but it's isn't sacrifice for the unit. At the end of the day, SHIELD is just a coalition protecting the world from things the big bad army can't handle. Nothing more. It's a sacrifice for the agents and directors who keep us alive, safe, and informed.

Jane- The thing I'm most passionate about

I hate to have a repeat answer...but I'm honestly devoted to the work I do. I guess on a larger scale, I'm passionate about learning about the people and things that exist beyond our tiny little world, and protecting those I love from those things that threaten said tiny little world.

Jasmine- That place I would escape to, if I had the chance.

It's really not the where of the escape, but the who. I'd happily camp out in a snowbank with the right company.

Still, I guess if I really had to make a call...I'd haul ass to Ireland. I hear the Giant's Causeway is a real sight.
