"The question is, Nathan.. What can you do for me?" The Redhead replied, looking up and down the man that stood before her.
"Well, I believe I asked you first." He said with a half smile. "I do believe the saying goes 'Ladies first'? How about your name to start out?"
"Nathan Romanoff." He said with a nod. “You?"
"Romanoff?" he repeated, looking back toward the man.
A sense of deja vu passed over him, raising gooseflesh and his hackles simultaneously. There was no way…
If James looked close enough, he could see some similarities. There was the sharp, cool focus in the man’s eyes; though it looked different on masculine features. The straight shot of her nose was reflected in his, and the same poise, muscles coiled to strike at any moment, was present in the lift of his shoulders and the way he carried himself.
"Jesus." He shook his head with the exclamation. Recouping, he flashed a wary smile. "James Barnes."
"Yeah. Romanoff." He said seriously, wondering what about it was so confusing. He nodded as the other introduced himself. "Barnes? I knew a Barnes once. Pleasure to meet you, Mr Barnes. Anything I can do for you?"
