Silent Planet - Tiny Hands (Au Revoir)

I couldn't have guessed how well haunting ambient synths and almost math-ish metalcore went together before listening to Silent Planet. Even within the already somewhat inaccessible metal genre, these guys are pretty weird. But they're weird in a very, very good way. I ranked this album, The Night God Slept, as my third favorite album of last year for good reason. I don't know of anything else like this going on in music right now. It's like poetry, but the poet is screaming at you, and people are doing insane things with instruments in the background.

Five Iron Frenzy - It Was a Dark & Stormy Night

Five Iron Frenzy broke up in 2004. Almost a decade later, they came back with their re-debut album Engine of a Million Plots. They had never been slackers on music or lyrics, but weren’t content to rest on their laurels, and arrived back on the scene with lyrics more powerful than ever and an excellent updated ska/rock sound. They were great, they’re still great, I expect them to keep being great.

Paper Route - Tiger Teeth

I've been incredibly into this album lately. If you want some quality pop-rock, you're not gonna find much better than Paper Route's Absence album. Think Coldplay plus The Killers.

Wovenwar - Death to Rights

These guys are wicked good. As I Lay Dying minus Tim Lambesis plus Shane Blay from Oh, Sleeper is a wicked combination resulting in a fantastic clean-vocal metal band. This is a band to keep your eye on.

Recommended if you like AILD, Demon Hunter, Protest the Hero, or Oh, Sleeper. Also recommended if you just want to hear good metal without much screaming.

I want to call this song atypical of Panic, but they're never like themselves. What I know is that this song is great.
