Hi, I just bought the NuMe Curling Wand, Flat iron and mini flat iron set off of Hautelook for $79. :D I'm so excited, but my question being what heat protectant, flat iron, curling stuff do you use when using your curling wand?

Using heat protectants when styling your hair is probably the single most important and beneficial thing you could do for your locks, whether your hair is thin, thick, long, short, kinky, straight, and everything in between! So I commend you for knowing the proper steps for caring for your hair ;)
My long-time favorite, ever since it came out, has been Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray. It is lightweight and never gets greasy or heavy!
But recently I’ve been using Pantene’s BB Creme for hair, which does lots of wonderful things besides heat protection, like adding shine and moisture and taming/preventing frizz!
I think you’ll find that with a high quality tool like the NuMe one you’ve bought will work so well that you won’t need many more styling aids. I can curl my hair with my NuMe wand (or any of my other tools) and the curls will last for two to three days with just a bit of hair spray! My favorites at the moment:
L’Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray - $7
Garnier Fructis Anti-Humidity Flexible Hold Hairspray - $5
Rock Your Hair Spray It Hard Big Volume Hairspray - $16
For straightening, you might want to add a finishing serum or leave in cream to keep your hair looking smooth and shiny. For this I’ve been using the Pantene Ultimate 10 BB Creme recently as well, but I also like:
Dove Style+Care Cream-Serum - $4
Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment - $40
And also, now that you’ll be using a really high-heat tool, you’ll want to baby your hair to keep it healthy and strong. Use deep conditioning treatments regularly and avoid prolonged sun exposure!
