I always been wondering why Gil's Gate of Babylon looks like water ripples and weapons that coming out of it have this kind of watery effect on them.

And then I remember a quote from some book and it mentioned that in the Epic after Gil's death people changed the course of the river Euphrates, buried him (presumably with all his treasures or at least most of it) in the river-bed and then let the waters flow over the spot again.

It's such a small but also really awesome detail
