Found some hands tutorial by me
Not in English but hope it will help???????
THIS IS SUPER HELPFUL. especially the hand one.
I’ve translated the ones that aren’t in English! (at least the ones in the main photoset, my Chinese isn’t good and I’m too tired from doing those translations to sit and decipher some of the characters that are blurry haha sorry)
under the cut because it got really long:

very useful tutorial on hands and shoulders!!
A new viewpoint on antlers reveals the evolutionary history of deer (Cervidae, Mammalia)
fullview recommended!
something i've wanted to do for a while now. i've scoured the internet for something like this and can't find anything that compares all the different types of antlers together. except one recent study on their evolution, which is also very interesting on its own! i simplified it to provide a visual reference, while still trying to be scientifically accurate. some things differ between this and trophy scoring terminology like where the beam is and whatnot, so if something looks weird that's why.
small additional note, this study and others provide a lot of evidence that eld's deer should be in their own genus as it doesn't appear similar enough to barasingha and schomburgk's deer. however this doesn't seem to be adapted anywhere yet, so they're still in Rucervus for this guide.

I spent hours staring at gold bars stock photos while making this and now my head hurts
It’s here !! The guide for two-legged people who don’t know how to draw wheelchairs !!! 7 pages of infodump ! Disclaimer : I don’t know everything, I have one (1) experience of wheelchair user who used both bad and good chairs, and I share what I learned.
Image description :
1) Calvin in his wheelchair saying “yo” under a huge title “how to draw manual wheelchairs properly by Calvin Arium, a wheelchair user comic artist”.
2) A character says “my character self propels in a chair that was outdated in 1970 lol” Calvin says “so it looks like you two legged people don’t know the difference between an hospital chair and a chair made to be independant” an arrow point the crapppy chair, saying “we never want to see this again”
a bubble says “the hospital chair is extremely unpractical, tough considering it’s cheaper than a good custom chair a lot of us have only this”
3) a character hurt himself trying to reach the wheels of the hospital chair. Several arrows point why the chair is unpractical : “high backrest restrain shoulders movement” “huge armrest restrains wheel access” “separated footrest : amovible, cheap, bulky” “x structure, foldable but heavy” “huge front casters for stability” “heavy wheels”
4) Several arrows point an active wheelchair (the KSL by Küshall) : “usually no armrest” “a low backrest allow more movement” “light, design, ferning expersive” “special cushion to avoind injuries” “knee angle is usually 90°” “one single piece of frame, sometimes entirely welded” “weight : from 4 to 10kg” “often rigid” “center of the wheel is the center of gravity” “higher quality wheels : less spikes”
5) A hand grab different parts of the wheel, pushing harder in the second half. Bubbles says “some have gloves, some don’t. The hand must grab the biggest area possible. Less movement = more energy. This is a common but not only way to push.Calvin is on his back wheels, rolling on grass and dirt bubble says “popping a wheelie is when a wheelchair user rolls on their back wheels to roll on every complicated surface.
6) several drawings illustrate the folding frame, the ergonomic but rigid and expensive backrest, the separated footrest (only for folding frame), the handles, the folding handles, athe amovibles handles, or no handles, the cool fancy loopwheels, the pretty custom colors
7) More Features ! The fancy rigid-foldable frame, the anti tippers (sometimes used by beginners), the motorization (wheels, smart drive) when propelling yourself is difficult Calvin says “and now vroom vroom motherfuckers”
Princess Luna - redesign
+bonus "Aurora" version.
I did one of these a few years ago (in 2019, linked here), but I was never really happy with how that Luna came out. I like this one a lot better though.
Might make some tweaks here and there eventually, but for now, this is good.
Thanks for killing the quality though, Tumblr. Click and you might get better resolution.

Hello! I have been admiring your work for a long time now!
May I ask if there is a correct way of drawing feathers? I am currently drawing my Winged OC and I am stuck with the feathers.
(I have drawn wings before but I had forgotten how to draw them overtime I stopped drawing, and the feathers on my old art look so... meh)
But if you had posted something similar to this before, can I please have the link to it? Thanks!
Personally, I dont think there's a 'correct' way to draw anything, especially feathers because that is more about style and what suits you best. There's no shame in using pre-set brushes for these things if you're too worried about linearting feathers individually.
I would say that with style for feathers there's a range of how to do it: from Every feather linearted <--> the vague shapes and outlines minimalistic.
The only 2 things I would say to keep in mind are:
1 - How the feathers are layered/overlapping, and how many layers of feathers you've drawn (vary the shapes and sizes for more distinct layers especially across the coverts)
2 - Which direction they are overlapping, in as the first primary feather will be visible as the 'top' feather from the under/ventral side, but will be the bottom of the layering from the back/dorsal side
how do you get the wing markings so pretty? what sort of brush/texture(s) do you use? i absolutely love your stuff!
About 60+ Brushes that I made myself for the fun of it to put Photoshop through its paces and see how long it would take to break it:
Deviantart still has the download link for my old 2019 version of it.

WIP - Nyumara in the Ruins
Obviously Nyumara hasn't actually been put into the scene yet. And yes, technically I feel like I should post her ref sheet but I will not - not because I am not proud of it, god knows I am, but because I have not actually finished the backside yet. Oops.
I have not finished the background lines yet - I still need to put the vines in (I am procrastinating them, honestly). And I need to do the further background things, past the tree root. I am thinking of a flower bush but it depends on how willing I am to draw a ton of flowers, honestly.
I have some ideas for where Nyumara can go in this. No solid plans yet and probably will not until I finish the entire background. A good general idea of where she should go though. I really do want to finish this. Nyumara is usually the character I use to break art block. Hopefully that continues on with this piece. I am trying to work through it.
A moment of appreciation for the lower left corner detailing also? Thank you.
