When it comes to my collage pieces, I rarely go in with an idea, instead one emerges as I go along. 

So, I believe at the end I found that this piece is about the value and power of work traditionally seen as lesser for it’s association with femininity by male ran societies.

this piece is part of why i’ve been awol lately, it was for a competition i was very determined to enter even though i had TONNES of stuff to do for the embroidery book (eep!) but i pushed myself and did it anyway because sometimes you need to just do these things even when it feels impossible.
