21 :: Death is perfectly proportioned
Her exact measurements, however, are a grave matter.
20 :: Death remembers
This is not the day we've waited for.
19 :: Death will punish you
Just one of many part-time jobs Shiroko took on in order to pay her way through school.
(Technically, she wasn't paid for saving the world. But those royalties from merchandising were -- and still are -- hella sweet.)
18 :: Canned Death
Needless to say, this particular product isn't very heart-healthy.
(Don't think about this picture too much.)
Available as a deviantArt print for those interested! Just click on the picture to get there.
17 :: Death gets schooled
Who better to teach the angel of death than an unkillable teacher?
(This is a series where junior high students are actively trying to kill their monstrous teacher because he'll destroy the Earth in a year if they don't, and it's...well, I won't say it's one of the most optimistic and heartwarming series I've ever read, partly I don't usually read optimistic and heartwarming series so it doesn't take much to surpass my personal metric of such qualities. However, it's far more optimistic and heartwarming than anything with this title and this premise has any right to be. Then again, it's Shonen Jump, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Also, even Matsui's previous series (another SJ title! Though nowhere near as popular as this one) had its heartwarming moments and ended on a pretty high note, and that one was about a mystery-eating, bird-headed demon from hell and his beleaguered human slave.)
16 :: Death stars in a comic book
A less-than-ideal job market forced Shiroko to take on some unsavory modeling jobs to pay the bills. Fortunately, her yoga sessions prepared her well for the literally back-breaking work of being a comic book pin-up girl. She was less bothered by the contortionist posing and more bothered by the giant wedgie she had to endure so her ass could be properly displayed in her swishy dress (as she was a little shy about showing skin).
No relation to Lady Death, by the way. (NSFW!)
(The really sad part is that I'm staring at this picture and thinking to myself: her anatomy isn't broken enough. I fear this sketch could be retitled "Death shows off her ass for Poe's Law.")

15 :: Death goes job-hunting
Geez, how many people does she have to kill to get a decent job around here?!
...what? Shiroko's an angel of death. That's shit she's gotta know, dude.
(She eventually got that position in Mourningwood. Kuroki was genuinely happy for Shiroko finding her first job out of college, but she couldn't stop snickering for at least a week.)
14 :: Death is in vogue
They made a killing with this issue.
(Why yes, I will be taking every opportunity I can to use death-related puns in this series. Deal with it.)
13 :: Death's note
She wrote her senior thesis like this, too. Her professor remarked that she was one of the most eloquent writers he'd come across in his career -- although he wasn't sure why.
12 :: Death wakes up on the wrong side of the bed
Well, at least she's got a soul sister there with a nice steaming cup of "what the hell is even going on" to get back on track.
11 :: Death talks to a therapist
Unsurprisingly, reaping isn't exactly the easiest job out there.
10 :: Death gets trapped on TVTropes
Hey, it happens to the best of us.
(She's also addicted to Failbook and The SCP Foundation.)
09 :: Death grooves to the music
Even Death has gangnam style.
08 :: The art of Death
Well, at least her calligraphy skills are top-notch.
(Nope, not late on this one either. I've switched to an every-other-weekly schedule. Yup.)
07 :: Death has a black belt
As if anyone needed more reasons not to start shit with the motherfucking angel of death.
(Shush, I'm not late. It's still 11PM where I am.)
