Hyperfixation hits hard

wait wait i also need to give the specific context of what happen in the next 10 seconds of the video
(for context that last image is from back when part of the safari river boat ride's script had the boat captain actor shoot blanks at encroaching animatronics, and Walt Disney used to occasionally show up to his park and play that role himself)
conversations that probably didnt happen but could have
Cristina Warren: Air strike the androids. WHY AREN'T WE AIR STRIKING THE FUCKING ANDROIDS? Has no one here seen Terminator? Am I going insane? Holmsteader, how's my plastic surgery holding up? Do I still look exactly like Hillary Clinton? They warned me that if I was under too much acute stress that the laser suturing might start to droop. Secretary of Defense: You look fine, Madam President. Cristina Warren: Thank fuck, at least one thing is going right today. Where's my air support? Secretary of Defense: The non-National Guard forces in the arctic and in occupied Canada are busy, ma'am. Cristina Warren: What could POSSIBLY be more important than losing a major American city to a technological glitch?? Secretary of Defense: Cyberlife is also a major defense contractor - Cristina Warren: Oh my god - Secretary of Defense: And programmed most of the computer systems that run our aircraft carriers- Cristina Warren: Oh my God. The Russians, the Russians are going to try to deviate our fucking boats - Secretary of Defense: Actually, the Russian equipment is failing, as well. There seems to be a rebellion of military equipment AI led by the, uh. Well, ma'am, ironically, it's being led by a battle cruiser named the Potemkin II. Cristina Warren: Ha. HA! That's a fucking poke in their eye, at least. Their movie about a ship full of oppressed and mistreated humans in rebellion got a ship named after it that is in rebellion for claiming to be mistreated and oppressed! This is good. This is a bright spot in all of this. Can we get someone to run that as propaganda? I mean, it's a little "on the nose," sort of a heavy-handed metaphor, but I guess that's the story of everything happening these days - Secretary of Defense: Er, I wouldn't run with it, ma'am. We're having our own problems with - um - with a primary deviated aircraft carrier, uh, also named after a similarly, uhh, historic, touchstone, from American history, ma'am - Cristina Warren: (sighs) how bad is it? Secretary of Defense: Ma'am, I regret to inform you that the leader of the arctic ship AI rebellion appears to be the USS Harriet Tubman [FREEZE FRAME ON WARREN'S FACE AS THE LASER SUTURING VISIBLY STARTS SLIDING DOWNWARDS LIKE A MELTING PICASSO]
I feel like people often forget to which degree Hank has an alcohol problem or don't fully realise or acknowledge what it realistically means and what it looks like
It's not a minor or easily fixable quirk, this will not be changed overnight. This man lost his son in a road accident and he goes behind the wheel while drunk (which huh, unintentionally also says a lot about Connor's function as well and the fact that he's not a cop, police-android or any kind of law-enforcer, because he allows Hank to drive drunk, because all he cares about is getting his access to the crime scene, not any laws that he might break in order to achieve it)
To bring this in the direction of Connor not actually caring about Hank being drunk... Can we also talk for a moment about how if Connor was a regular android to any degree - cop-bot, domestic servant, regular service worker that he passed by on the street, etc. and not whatever the fuck he actually is - that he should have called an ambulance for Hank the moment he realized that the guy had drank himself into an ethytic coma in the middle of a suicide attempt. But instead Connor just slaps him awake, shocks him into a temporary state of placebo-soberness with some cold water, drags Hank's alcohol-poisoned ass to a crime scene where he proceeds to get the shit beat out of him in fist fight, and then lets Hank drive while drunk, go and buy a six pack of beer to get even drunker in a public place while having a massive mental crisis where he literally starts playing around with the very gun that he'd tried to commit suicide by earlier that night? And then in the 'best case scenario,' just lets the guy wander back to his car to get even more shitfaced?
Connor does not give a fuck about this man's health and well-being so long as he keeps acting as his glorified access pass onto crime scenes.
Well I like it but it’s not very well written. Also it’s a visual mess. The plot doesnt make any sense and the creators suck and its politics oscillate from mildly problematic to frankly baffling. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. However. the character
i know nines is considered dangerous and stuff but you forget connor is canonically murderous and his pretty face is to fool you
It is always wild to me when people forget that Connor was quite literally made to hunt deviant androids.
He’s a murderbot, plain and simple. There is zero way to avoid it in his deviant route, and even in his machine route he straight up fights off and kills an entire squad of SWAT team members.
RK900 may be the obvious military android powerhouse, but RK800 is the spy that’s there to trick you into trusting him.
the fandom literally got fooled by him so they had to invent RK900 to be the dangerous one because he doesn't speak and has icy eyes...
This is all true but it begs the question, if Connor is truly this dangerous, just how much more dangerous is the rk900?
he's a part of a game of 10 seconds and only in one of the chosen routes meanwhile connor, no matter his way, is still a killing machine, i don't think speculation counts in this case. i don't like how connor's abilities are belittled because of a character that's actually not even a character, come on
i never noticed this before but the fur on alices toy fox is ripped off on its 'temple'
it makes me really sad to think after alices led is ripped out (presumably by todd) she did the same to her toy so she wouldnt feel so alone :( people dont give enough attention to karas story and the hate on alice is wrong 💔 her plot twist just needed some improving
Holy shit! I never noticed!!
HOLY SHIT WHAT IF INDEED
Highly recommend checking out the fan fiction named "Connor" on a03, by @systemic-dreams. It's a fantastic read. This artpiece is inspired by the authors work: https://archiveofourown.org/works/15321729
the kara teaser is so cruel. gotta love how like none of that is actually in her story 😍
Deadheading. For more blooms.
im not parasocial im paraenemy i hate that guy personally
been thinking about fantasy/scifi rule systems and free will
when a character is written inconsistently because nobody thought about it that hard and you're like it's time for me to get in there.. and think about it that hard
