I broke my phone. Almost like I breaking someone's heart. I felt like Sucha horrible person, though it wasn't on purpose (of course) it was an accident, I still felt so horrible. Like it or not in today's times, a phone now a necessity more than a luxury. Since I was out of town, People had not way to contact me. I had to maintain a paper for my ticket. The prepaid taxi just looked at me I'm horror when I said I didn't have a phone. I had no clue where I was since I didn't have google maps I was so disconnected and desperate. More than me, others were desperately trying to get in touch ~ Horrible, so horrible ~

Web-sighhh !!

It's been over a year since I'm running my Design Studio; ArtboardBox and I still haven't managed to develop a website for my company. I've designed and given feedback for multiple clients / friends etc. company webpages, and not yet managed to start mine. Well so today is the day. I'll start with a simple one from wix. Truly something better than nothing. So here we go ~

Mulled Wine

Drink: Mulled Wine Rating: ★★★★★ Ingredients: Premix Mulled Wine Spice & Red Wine

Place: Patel House Location: Mumbai, India When: 3rd Jan 2016, The First Sunday of the new year ~

Hello 2016 & Hello 1st Drink of 2016 ~ a glass of mulled wine ~ It’s basically a warm red wine, infused with Herbs and Spices, enjoyed best during a winters ~ My first encounter with Mulled Wine,  was when I was in England do my Masters in Communication Design. It was around mid December, and was on my usual window shopping visit in Southhampton. Being Christmas Season, there was a market set up on the high street. Intrigued (as usual) by something that everyone was having, I asked Gentleman and his wife (I presume) what they were drinking, and yup, from their feedback, decided to try it too. ‘Mulled wine’. It’s the Perfect drink for a chill weather (or if you’re down with a bad cold like my state currently) Unfortunately in India, it’s nothing something one would fine easily, you could make it though. At Tesco you could pick up this bottle off the Shelf, and it came with tiny spice Mix in a tea bag which you had to immerse in the warm wine, let it infuse for a while and done !! My father-in-law was in Germany during Christmas last year, and I requested him to buy some spice mixes for mulled wine. Sure enough he did find it, and bought ample enough… I’m currently down with a very bad cold & cough, so the entire long weekend I have more or less been on green teas, ginger tea, etc etc. But for now, this is the perfect thing .. So cheers :) Happy Sunday ~

My new love currently, is homemade clay ... That's something that's keeping me busy between work hours.

More chocolate tasting ~

Khush got this from Germany, and was very very excited about it.

So apparently theres a method and sequence of tasting each chocolate.. I focused on the packaging, cause its simply marvellous, khush did all the reading..

Chocolate tasting ~

At 11:40pm after I turn off the television. Khush asked me, if was in the mood. I asked for what then he said to say yes or no. I just said Yes.. as cheesy as it's not what you think it is. Khush gets up, goes to the kitchen and get a box of chocolates ...assorted coffee flavoured chocolates And then starts out (almost) midnight coffee chocolate tasting tasting session.

Journal WIP

I went to Italy for a holiday this August July. It was a beautiful trip.. From the moment I stepped on to that Italian round I was in love. Technically I'm already in love with my husband but I was in love with the place. A 15 day trip and I religiously maintained a travel journal. I noted everything stuff we ate, what we drank, where we went what we saw how we went travelled everything. Three months passed and I still haven't managed to put down everything digitally. My husband and I decided to review and rate every place that we went to and we had a good experience at. We keep saying we do it over the weekend but apparently that weekend has never come.. So for starters I'm going to attach photographs of the pages of the journal. Something better than nothing right ?

What's your thought ?

The mind is constantly thinking about something or the other. sometimes you find people staring blankly into space and when you ask them what are you thinking about they say 'nothing'. That's all rubbish .. I mean sometimes you don't even realise that you're thinking, it's almost like Dreaming .. But the mind is constantly thinking about something or the other .. Okay I have to google this now ... I'm sure it's true !!

The unwritten journal ~

Have you ever felt like starting your journal (again) ? But everytime you want to write something you're worried someone might read it? I keep planning what statements I would enter into my journal, but never actually get to doing it ... Few months back I had been writing consistently, pages after pages, and then started ripping them out and tearing them into tiny pieces (real tiny) so no one could fix it together .. I remember as children, my sister and i, always had our secret journals. We would write out our hearts content and be rest assured it wouldn't read by the other. However, Mom always found them, and always read them can't remember if it got us into trouble, but I don't think that actually stopped us from writing. I don't even know when I stopped writing. I always feel like starting over again, buttttt..

Kaas, Valley of Flowers

This weekend, was a log weekend. Reason being : Ganesh Chaturti .. (My favourite festival) But Khush came with a magnificent proposal. (Since he's clearly not the social type) He said we could go to check out Kaas Valley. Now clearly, I had no idea what it was... I tried to look it up on google, I was totally awestruck by the images it displayed. The first thing I said was "PHOTOSHOPED" seriously the images looked so unreal. That thought was negated when i witnessed it myself. Beauty beyond measure for sure. I was seriously surprised that such a beautiful site actually exits in our state. I felt bad that this wasn't the first time i underestimated what beauty lies within our country itself. All we need to do is Explore

There are few rock patches here and there, where your’re allowed to stand and click pictures. but beyond a certain point you aren’t allowed (which i’m glad about) since its only filled wit flowers ..

Saving the shoe !

Have you ever bought a new pair of shoes and not worn them thinking they'll m get spoilt ? I'm a shoe fanatic, i loveeee buying shoes, and keep them intact, brand new !! I convince myself that since my feet aren't gonna grow any bigger, chances to outgrown my shoes is highly unlikely (like when we were kids) I can't even recollect how many new pairs of shoes are waiting to be used, hidden in various corners of the house ... Recently, my mom bought me an amazing pair of black slippers from Istanbul ... With a golden heart in the centre, they are really pretty, and also smell totally amazing. I actually decided to wear them today (My mom gave them to me, a week and a half back..) that's progress.. The whole car is smelling of the perfume of the slippers, I'm so afraid of the smell wearing off ..But .. if not now, then when ..

You Mood Reflects on your food !

It’s true ~

I spent all evening thawing - cleaning - cutting - marinating the chicken for my husband and me. But for reasons, which I can’t disclose here, I got extremely upset..

But since cooking must go on...I didn’t let bother my cooking process.. Result...the chicken was quite bland and pathetic. \I had to use Chings Schezwan Chutney, to make it edible. Disastrous !

Lesson learnt - when in a bad a bad mood, ORDER IN !!!!

I also landed up eating quite a bit of chocolate for a mood lift... and now i feel worse for cheating on my diet !!!! :(

Recipe : Morning Eggs

As part of my diet, I am supposed to have two egg whites for breakfast. So I took a spoon of the last night’s leftover corn pattice mixture, and whisked it with the egg whites.

Turned out good. Didn’t even need to add any salt

Recipe Post

Yesterday I made,Spinach & mushroom soup with corn pattice 

Ingredients :

1 bunch spinach 2 big onions ( to cut the bitterness of the spinach) 1 pack mushroom (cut into half) 4-5 garlic Shallots (I add garlic in everything) 1 tsp pesto sauce 1 Veg Maggie cube 1 tsp spoon olive oil 1 Cup MilkSalt Pepper

I sautéd the onion and garlic in olive oils (the trick is to have a good non stick pan).After couple of min, when the onion was nice and translucent, I added mushrooms and cooked until half done, then added the spinach... Once it reduced and settled .. I added the melted Maggie cube (in water) and pesto with 2 cups water. I usually cover my soups .. And let it cook for a while, and eventually turn off the gas, so that the veggies almost get steamed and not overcooked.Also helps in retaining the colour ... After say about 15-20 mins ... I removed the mushrooms and set them aside. blended the rest of it in a mixer grinder (only the veggies, left the water in the pan) Some people prefer the hand blender, but I'm very particular of the texture of my soups, hence the mixer. Once that was done, I strained it, put it back into the pan. Then blended the mushroom, that I had set aside, with a cup of water.No straining for the mushrooms, added it to the pan Added a cup of Milk to balance the taste.. Now I'm usually skeptical of the salt...So i only add it right at a end, and pepper is added at the table usually. My mother-in-law loved it.She studied Catering, and she said she would give me full marks on the texture *broad smile* Packed some for my best friend too...

Next Corn Pattice : 200 gms boiled corn (sweet corn I prefer) 2 tsp ginger garlic chili paste (grind in the blender) 2 Egg whites (diet remember) Salt Pepper for seasoning

I Combined the Corn, ginger-garlic-chilli paste & salt in a blender, and blended it (ofcourse). Not for too long though, cause I didn’t want a paste as such. Then separately I whisked the 2 egg whites, and combined it all.

I coated a shallow pan with very little olive oil (name sake) , when it was very hot, I plopped 2 spoons of the mixture on the pan, making small circlers, (as the size of a crab cake..ohh yumm..crab cake). I covered it and let it cook. When I flipped it, it almost fell all apart, since I hadn't added any potatoes or flour. After I while I directly flipped the pan onto the plate..and served it hot.

all is right, when you write

So until I decide what to write about everyday, I’m going to write what I did everyday (atleast one thing).

Hopefully in sometime, rather hoping sometime or the other, ill know what I want write about, or don’t want to write about atleast.. you know what I mean..

I usually start something, then bored of it midway…no one knows I’m writing. So its cool…
