Why ruined? It’s not that Shizuo and Vorona are in love or engaged, they’re just good friends as much as Shizuo and Tom or Shizuo and Celty. I don’t understand those people who see Vorona as threat to Shizaya because she simply isn’t. Narita-san even stated that Shizuo’s into older women, specifically the onee-san type of women and Vorona doesn’t fit at all in this category. Celty does but she already has Shinra. Also according to Narita-san’s original plan, Shizuo was supposed to end up with Namie that is an adult woman and perfectly fits the onee-san category. So little girls are not his cup of tea, he just wants to be a good sempai figure for Vorona, that’s it. Btw I agree that people who ship them together are terribly butthurt over Shizaya, they should just deal with their salt and move on because Shizaya shippers always existed and will always exist, no matter what. If their ship is unpupular it’s not our fault, it’s just that is terribly boring from a romantic pov.

I’m only saying this in terms of the fandom. I’m emotionally attached to shizaya lol (crazy enough, they’re fictional.) The fandom of the ship ruined us from having our fun. It doesn’t have a same vibe anymore.

I can’t disagree with you then :) But I never let those idiots ruin the mood for me, nothing will ever ruin Shizaya for me because I always stay strong with my ship. Because people bitching about Shizaya being unhealthy are either a bunch of idiots or hypocrites. Every fucking relationship in this series, romantic or not, is highly unhealty and some of them were even allowed to be canon couples. After so many years they still don’t get that Durarara is a series about twisted relationships, not about pure and unadulterated love, but sick love. If they wanted a series about positive and healthy feelings, Durarara is not for them.

But the unhealthy thing is just an excuse, the truth is that they’re terribly butthurt because Shizaya is super popular while their het ships (I have a feel het shippers are the most salty) are unpopular and very few people support them.

People can ship whatever they want but they should just stop blaming popular ships if their pairing is unpopular, there’s something called multishipping so if pretty much no one cares about certain couples it’s because people find them unappealing and boring. Period.
