Also I work at ulta, there's only one computer size monitor that has all 8 cameras on it and it's basically the quality of a potato and my ulta is brand new as of this year, and only the manager can watch the cameras so if she's on the floor no one is watching, all our naked palettes are tagged inside the box! Seriously if you crouch down and pretend to look at something no one can see you, the best blind spot is around the low end hair care (:

L here: it’s actually the worst possible bag you can use at forever 21… I worked there and in the case of the alarm going off, a f21 bag was the only bag we were allowed to search. So literally you can have as much stuff in your purse, other store’s bags as your heart desires, but don’t use a f21 bag to steal from them.

I’m gonna eat up all my precious frozen vegan meals at my parents house and then do a walkout at a grocery store to fill up me and my roommy’s fridges (we’re sharing the cost if the fridge i might as well share my free food too) does anyone have any whole foods or grocery store tips? specifically relating to walkouts would be lovely 💖💖

(2) Concealing in grocery stores is the easiest thing, but you’re pretty sus if you don’t buy anything. I like to buy a big bag of chips or something from the bakery section. It’s the same as anywhere else, but usually there are fewer cameras. Stay out of the health and beauty section. I mean really you can’t fit much in an unsus small bag ANYWAYS so you’re much better off with walkouts. Also, quick note: anything that could leak or have condensation or melts is a thing you do not want to conceal. Its gross. Trust me.

(3) If your store has self checkouts that are sometimes unmanned, be very excited on the inside. Grab a basket. Put food in it. Don’t go near the health and beauty section unless you have to. Make sure your produce isn’t going bad. Get the tomatoes from the back of the display. Don’t try this with alcohol unless you’re super confident. Don’t forget about crackers, which is maybe the strangest thing I’ve said lately. If you get sick and your stomachs torn up, salted plain crackers are amazing with a little ginger on them.

Once you’re done, go to the self checkout. There’s a few ways to do this part. One is just wait til nobody’s around (INCLUDING CUSTOMERS) and just walk out. Just go. I don’t ever do it that way because frankly I’ve spotted people doing it and it looks so sketch. You wouldn’t believe. Or you can scan some of your items, ex scan your exp red peppers in as 95cent onions, scan a can of green beans twice so you get that can of soup for the lower price, etc. You still spend money, but less of it. And it’s pretty clear what you’re doing to anyone watching. I don’t do that either. You can get the barcode off a gum wrapper, tape it to your wrist and just scan it a whole bunch of times. Sus. A. F!! Plus that one might actually constitute fraud. ORR. Scan all of your items. Every damn one. Go to the payment screen. And either: 1. Slide a card that won’t work (my favorite is sliding the rewards card for the store I’m in) or 2. Just leave the screen up. Go home. Eat. Be merry.

(4) I’m almost done I swear. One of the funniest things I read when I first started getting into the community was called a “twofer trap.” Basically you go in, buy a whole bunch of stuff, keep your receipt. Send in a friend with that same receipt, they go get everything on the receipt, bag it up in plastic store bags in a blind spot, walk out with it. They have a receipt! What’s anybody gonna do?

The original poster of that tip advocated doing it only about three times with the same receipt, but honestly the entire tip seems a bit…… I mean you’re getting three cartloads of groceries for the price of one? What kind of fridge space does this guy have? And what kind of blind spots where you can bag up all that? But I think (THINK I’ve never tried it) a similar scheme could work with reusable bags and something like bulk rice. Go in, buy it, give your receipt to a friend, have them lift it, return yours. Seems like a lot of effort though…..

I’m boosting my Naked Basics pallet, which has a retail price of $29 

I currently have it listed at $20 w/ free shipping 

Someone wants to know if I’ll take $15

Should I take this offer? Should I take $15 but charge shipping? 

I’m thinking of saying something like “I’m currently not dropping the price, but I will contact you if I do”

Hi so everything that I list on Poshmark I list for 10 dollars below retail value, it is definitely ok to bargain. And if they don’t accept your offer, someone else will. It will take you a while to sell in the beginning so follow as many people as possible. For the 15 dollars I would say counter with 18 or 17. Be firm, but don’t overvalue it. You didn’t pay for it so it doesn’t matter that much. Make sure your packaging is well enough so it will not break on the way in shipping. (Very important)
