After a long way from home away from home, Gary has just gotten used to this by getting to know some of the Hive City residents. They mostly got their Pokemon through amateur captures. He wanted to snag one of those critters ever since he heard you can catch one.
So, when he got out of the Pokemon Store, he managed to buy some Pokeballs himself too. Gary was humming a slightly familiar tuneâ the one that his Grandpaâs lab radio used to play while he does field work back home.
He misses home but not quite. Jack told him that his best friend Ash is here somewhere in Hive City, he knows he will have to find him soon.
âGeez, you saw Pokemon in the area and now youâre feelinâ homesick. This is must what others feel like when they travel.â He thought while he remembered the good old days. His rivalry with his best friends and all. Times has changed, do they?
Something interrupted his thoughts as he heard another one singing. Gary turned to stare at whoever is singing. He frowned at the lyrics. The song has an upbeat tune butâ
âCatchy, itâs just because youâre now payinâ attention to the song.â He commented and itâs the Xiaolin monk guy he met from the Drone invasion some months ago. âYa know that song is outdated. They should have added Fairy to the lyrics too. The Fairy type of Pokemon is the latest category added in the Pokemon type dex.â
The brunette knew Raimundo introduced himself the other day. It wonât hurt to start a regular conversation with him again.
âRaimundo Pedrosa is it?â He guessed, âYouâre here to get Pokemon are you? So do I, Iâm interested in a Sinnoh Pokemon.â
âFairy huh? Thatâs interesting. Did that just get discovered?â
Oops. Guess he hadnât fully caught up on his Pokemon again. He should probably do that. But hold on. Wasnât this guy Gary Oak? The one he met during the Drone invasion last month? Yeah thatâs right he was. Small world wasnât it?
âYeah. Thatâs me. And your nameâs Gary Oak and you have a Squirtle. That should be a Blastoise. And yeah, I know the songâs outdated, but itâs got a good beat. But enough about old song choices being awkward and all that... Yeah Iâm here Pokemon hunting. I was interested in an older one. I couldnât decide, but Iâll go after one I think I can handle. There should be a few good ones here that should suit me. Again, enough about that. So, which Pokemon are you after?â
Sometimes Rai was like Omi. Didnât know when to shut up. Still, this guy seemed like heâd understand. And maybe he could tell Rai what good Pokemon there were.
