Sharing some random health tips
Since I spend my time advising friends and family about health stuff, I've decided I'd compile a bunch of random tricks I've gathered growing up with an ER doctor mom and working as a paramedic myself, so here I go:
(and remember this does NOT concern any emergency situations, just some every day tips)
The holy trinity: caffeine, orgasm, putting your feet in warm water. If you can do the three of it at the same time you're golden.
Massage your stomach counterclockwise, applying some gentle pressure, then massage downward towards your pelvis. It'll help with indigestion and gas.
. Don't want to throw up?
Hum, it'll suppress your gag reflex. Also close your fist tightly around your thumb.
Big glass of water with salt in it. Chug it. It's gonna be a very bad time but you WILL get it out
Feet up against the wall (will only work if it's from low BP)
. Heart beating too fast?
Shallow breaths in, deep and long breaths out. If that doesn't work quick enough, take a long inhale through your nose then another one through your mouth ON TOP OF IT (your lungs need to fucking hurt) then force a big ass sigh out= heart rate down super fast.
. Random over the counter medication short hand:
Paracetamol: best for fevers, muscle aches, stomachaches
Ibuprofen: best for headaches, period pains, fevers
Vogalen (Or other metopimazine based medication) : Nausea exclusively
Spasfon (Or other Phloroglucinol/Trimethylphloroglucinol based medication): stomachache, period pains
Lysopain (Or other ambroxol based medication): sore throats
Smecta (Or other diosmectite based medication): Diarrhea exclusively
