Adam brought the things forward and placed them on the ground. “I’ll go get the truck set up,” He muttered. Jordan only nodded, watching Adam take everything save the pig to the truck.
"Then do us a favor and don’t tell anyone about us." Jordan shot back, "Ruby, take the piggy to the truck, okay?" Ruby was the one who nodded this time, taking the pig and leading it to the truck. Jordan gave one last disinterested glance toward Rick and left.
"Yeah yeah." Rick spat back sourly before reaching out to take the supplies from Adam and once he made sure everything was properly accounted for he turned his back to the group of strangers and headed towards and past the gates of the prison; letting his mind fade into the background as the large steel doors closed behind him.
You’re my brother. • • • Rickyl through the seasons.
"Yeah, I thought so." Sam exhaled heavily, she expected her fate to come long before the months passed. "I have no idea what’s happened to me…but I want to know if I’m harmful to others."
Rick was at a loss for words. He wasn't too sure on how to react this type of situation. How was she still alive? Was the virus even in her system at this point? Rick was starting to wonder if it was okay being around her. "Well, have you experienced any of the usual symptoms of a walker bite?"
"I gave up looking for him long ago, he’s either dead or one of them. Either way, none of my concern."
"Clearly it is. After all, you made me stop what I was doing in hopes I would know where your friend is and now that I don't you are trying to cover up your disappointment with anger but whatever. Like you said... it's none of my concern."
Daryl liked to think he had some muscle on him. And he did. Yet, two men falling against him, one dead weight, the other on him. He used all he had to keep them up so he wouldn't be squished and Rick wouldn't be open to attack. He watched the zombie fall, giving it a hold kick before heading toward the last opening. He was glad he had Rick for this.
After leaping off the nearly three hundred pound walker, and pulling it off to the side, Rick once again joined Daryl to enter the last arena in which the final round of walkers waited impatiently for their arrival. The same motions were repeated as earlier, back pressed against the wall with the mission to make as little noise as possible. Rick was happy he didn't have to go through this alone. He always preferred killing walkers with Daryl's assisted help.
"I’m a damn mystery to me."
The Vampire & The Sheriff
Her cold dead heart raced out of control as she listened to his hostility. She was sure that a part of her deserved what he was saying, but at the same time she knew that she wasn’t a monster. Despite the fact that she understood his hesitation, Elena knew that she was a compassionate soul who could barely hurt Bambi let alone another human. She simply listened to his harsh words as she moved furniture in front of the windows and door with her vamp speed, ensuring that the walkers wouldn’t be able to get in for at least the night. Once she was sure they would be alright, she walked over to the corner furthest from the entrances to the building. Leaning against the wall, she slowly slid downwards. When she finally was sitting, she pulled her knees against her chest, and rested her head on top of her knees. It was taking the last bit of strength for her to not break down and cry in that moment. Being there with Rick she realized that she was truly alone in the world and that was all that she would ever be, well, until she died that is. She didn’t want to think that this was all that her life would amount to, dead at 18 because of a curse of bad luck and unfortunate circumstances. Closing her eyes, she merely muttered in response. “None. I don’t feed from humans. I used to drink solely from blood bags, but since hospitals are in short supplies these days, I feed off whatever animals I can find, a rabbit here, a doe there. I can’t hardly hurt an ant, let alone another person. I’d rather die of starvation.” She paused as she noticed her skin turning pale, before adding under her breath. “Which I just might tonight.”
The tension in the air quickly went from aggressive to just down right depressing. Rick really shouldn't have expected any other kind of response than what was delivered to him. Clearly, Elena was suffering not only because of the apocalyptic epidemic but also seemed to be battling with some pretty vicious inner demons as well. Rick was never a fan of the supernatural genre but thanks to word of mouth he knew that vampires couldn't survive long unless they feed from the blood of humans and since that was in quite short supply he had a estimated guess that Elena won't be able to survive the week. This was where Rick's kind heart came into play. Should he offer up his blood in exchange for her protection or should he fend for himself and just let her die where she sat, alone and scared? After some brutal inner monologue with himself Rick thought it best to stay by her side even though he still wasn't fully able to trust her. If she ever were to turn on him he was just treat her as another savage walker and kill her dead in her tracks. Even after her whole speech about how she didn't normally feed off humans, which Rick found to be complete and utter horse shit, he still remained assured of his decision. "How long can you survive on human blood? I'll make a deal with you... fuck, I can't believe I'm even suggesting this but I will offer you up my blood in exchange for my prolonged survival? Keep in mind that is all this is, to help me... us stay alive. Nothing less. Nothing more."

"Oh, hello Beth. Are you here to see Carl or Judith? I'm afraid they aren't home. Is something the matter?"

"Judith!! God, it's one in the afternoon. It's time to wake up. Don't make me pour cold water on you."
Ruby tugged her daddy’s sleeve, “I don’t like him,” She said loudly.
"That’s fine, sweetie, but you have to be polite," No use in teaching her to use her manners. This was dog eat dog anymore. If she was nice, she’d get walked all over. If she wasn’t, well. She had a fighting chance.
"Sounds like a trade, stranger," Jordan said, putting Ruby back down on her feet and patting her wild coils of dark hair, "Adam, get the things," his unease was obvious, hands clenching to fists. He could reach his bow in a seond, but even then, if this guy pulled anything, he couldn’t beat a bullet.
Once the finalization was set into place Rick ushered one of his gunmen forth; telling him to collect all the proper items Rick would need for this trade. He was given a solid nod before the younger male turned to head into the winding depths of the prison. During the entire duration of the wait Rick remained as silent as possible whilst also holding a threatening stance where he stood. Nearly five minutes later Rick was rewarded with the pig and the cans. He gave the teen a thankful smile before he returned to his post to scout for any wondering walkers. Rick looped his wrist around the rope that held the vocal pig to his side and began to trot his way towards the strangers; stopping just about a few feet from them to hold out the supplies in which he offered. "This is the only trade I'm doing so don't tell your friends or an passersby of us. Okay?"
I WILL
SUFFER
SO YOU WON’T.
Her eyes went to his, wondering what his opinion was. "There’s no one else like me, is there?"
He shrugged at her question. "Not that I've seen. Everyone whom I've encountered with a walker bite is dead now; as you should be. This doesn't make any sense."
With Rick spotted and safe, he continued through. He was crouched now, even if taking out a leg wouldn’t kill. It would assist. Daryl moved into the next part of the Cell, walkers surrounded them, eyes narrowing as he focused. He made no sound aside from the sound of knife cutting air, and a bow releasing an arrow. He knew the grunt he gave would show that one got close. The walker was taller than himself, large in size, ready to kill.
His steps were fragile as air, wary painting every step as Rick sliced his way through the crowd of drooling walkers just wanted for the perfect opportunity to strike. Rick rid himself of another lifeless body as Daryl rounded the corner. He smashed the skull against the cement wall, coloring it in a revolting shade of dark crimson. Luckily, the kill didn't draw more out. With Daryl now out of his sight Rick swiftly made his way towards the cell in which he heard the horde beginning to gather. Soon to lay his eyes upon a walker whom was nearly a foot higher than both Rick and Daryl; there was only one way to handle this one. He sprung on it's back; driving the pointed blade directly into the back of it's neck.
