At the walmart I worked at they were allowed to pursue you once you left the door, they'd tackle you to the ground if they had to. Also when I lift from there I use their reusable insulated shopping bags and I cut a layer into it so things can be put in there but the bag will appear empty.

Yeah I seen one guy get tackled. He was big, so it took three workers to slam him into a wall & bring him back inside. I think he was drunk, too, because he was trying to fight random people and yelling stuff that didn’t make sense.

D'you have any tips on lifting a bike from Walmart? Like could you just walk out with it? Thank you for your time

The only way this would work is if you went in after midnight (when loss prevention is gone) & there’s no greeter at the door. Get the bike & just roll it on out. Usually, they’re too understaffed to notice. Don’t show your face there for a while either in case someone was watching, but they were too lazy to do anything.

Does the walmart garden section have cameras?

You would have to scope out your store first. But generally, no. That's why they make you leave your cart inside before going to that section (if it's being monitored). & there's usually an attendant at the exit who will ask for your receipt before you leave.

I hope not everyone takes your Walmart shoplifting tips especially, Canadians as yes, we are allowed to put hands on you (reasonable force necessary to make the arrest) as well we arrest outside of the store unlike American Walmarts.

We also burn video of any incident so if you do get away, the video never gets deleted, and we can prosecute you for all incidents even if they are at separate times. I know the laws are different in every area, but I can assure you out of about 600 shoplifters, maybe 5-10 have gotten away/not been prosecuted. As a current LP investigator I can tell you alot of your replies are not correct, and you've probably just gotten lucky as to not getting caught more. You can be caught shop lifting even if you go to a "blind spot". Any trained LP knows to watch for items when you are back in camera view, if you go off camera and appear again without the items, LP will then (wait until you're no longer in the area) and check for those items being ditched anywhere. i mostly take nail polish or cheap make up from walmart and rings from claires and i am ashamed and awhile back told my closest friend and she made me feel super shitty so i told her it was a joke and im pretty sure she forgot but do you have any advice for quitting or something

Just take some small candies whenever you get the urge and can't resist it. Small candies like gum or whatever. That's what helped me whenever I went out with my mother or someone I couldn't lift around.

I take them into the changing room, put them on under mine, and exit.

Any tips for small town lifting? The majority of shops where I live are small and independent but have little/no cameras, but I've only lifted from the Salvation Army b/c I'm too scared to lift from anywhere else.

I wouldn't lift from any small, independent stores. That's generally very looked down upon in the lifting community, because you're taking from real people who are really struggling to stay open. Look for chain or department stores.

today I lifted a Fossil watch in Dillards, and there was a camera right above me, I didn't make it too obvious, but you can definitely tell one of them is missing. Do you think they could catch me?

If you go back to that store, yes. Don't go back for 90 days. They usually wipe recorded footage after 90 days. I'd definitely avoid as much as possible for as long as possible.
