2026 Vision Board
I’m in a season of life where so many people are showing up for me. They are cooking me or bringing me dinner while my husband travels for work. They are inviting me over for tea. They are calling and texting and saying “I’m always here.” They are bringing me sweets. They are inviting me over to watch baseball. And let me tell you, being in the depths of new parenthood while my baby isn’t sleeping and I’m taking on long stretches of solo parenting, these gestures truly mean the world to me.
I am so grateful for my family, friends, and neighbours who continue to be unbelievably generous and kind. I honestly don’t know how I got so lucky.
Life has recently been filled with a lot of lightbulb moments realizing I’m currently living the days I used to dream about.
In the depths of fertility treatments I used to wonder if I would ever have a child or experience being a mother and here I am.
As a kid and teenager I used to think about whether I would ever be an aunt, and I am one.
As a university graduate I questioned if I would ever be a writer, and this is now my corporate profession.
As a young adult I dreamed of adopting a dog. Now, I can’t imagine my family without our sweet rescue pup.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the mundane of life. But when you pause and reflect on all of the milestones you’ve met, no matter how big or small, I can almost guarantee your heart and mind will be filled with gratitude. And if you’re in a season of waiting, I’m sending you love, peace, grace, patience, and the energy to withstand your challenges.
The new songs from The Band CAMINO are incredible!
Used to wonder if I would ever live out these kind of moments. Now that I’m here I feel so much gratitude and love. Thank you, Universe!
Having a bit of an off day so capping the night off by watching Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Yes, the books are better than the movies but I just need some comfort content.
How wonderful it is to live in a world with sunshine, chocolate, best friends, music, laughter, and more to be grateful for than I could have ever dreamed of.
Just a little message for anyone who has had, like myself, their patience tested over the past few years⏳
3:30AM thoughts: is Harry Potter a sign that nature can be stronger than nurture? He always wants to protect people (even saves Malfoy in book seven) but was never protected growing up (and arguably not well protected by Dumbledore). So is it his personality or do we think he tries to give others what he’s deprived of?
2025 vision board, let’s go!
I know I’ve been missing in action on here for quite some time, but I promise, I have good reason.
Earlier this year, I became a mom.
But the road to get here was a challenge.
Together, my husband and I navigated ~3.5 years of infertility, multiple doctors appointments, tests, and countless drives to the fertility clinic. I was prescribed various medications, most of which made me ill, all while my husband administered shots, wiped my tears, and walked alongside me through many months of disappointment and grief.
While this journey was very personal, I’m sharing part of my story in hopes of making anyone who may be navigating a similar journey know that they’re not alone. I know how isolating and trying infertility can be and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
To say I’m grateful for modern medicine and science is an understatement. Every day I thank the universe for a healthy baby. I’m so in awe of my body and how it grew and carried a human being. I never want to take that for granted.
So far, being a mom is one of the greatest gifts I could ever receive. I know there are a lot of people out there wishing for a child of their own, and I sincerely hope each and every one of them is granted that desire. If you or someone you know is going through infertility, I’m sending all of the best energy and love. My DMs are always open for anyone who may want support in any capacity.
It’s likely no surprise that I use Generative AI as part of my job. What I’m finding is the more that I use it, the more I’m “uncovering” AI words in the wild. And yes, I put it in quotations because that’s one of the prime AI words.
My question is: are more content writers using AI and not making any changes to content? Or are AI outputs influencing our language choices?
If I see the word supercharge one more time I will lose my mind!
Do any of my American friends on here know how I could get access to a US library card as a Canadian? I would like to test it out on my Kindle with Libby.
