ryoken is patient, standing comfortably with one hand over his hip, as he takes in each of the girl’s responses. though not something one would expect by his physique, he’s not the most healthy ( —— or picky, for that matter ) when it comes to food. but all in all he’s careful with what he does eat, health limitations and all.
❛ ramen darou? ❜ comes the words repeated, spoken quietly - to himself rather than to her. the name seems familiar, he thinks, he’s probably passed by it a few times before. ❛ i don’t mind so much if it’s oily. ❜ food was food and frankly, ryoken’s ingested much worse. anything’s a step up from a couple fries and some hot dogs from a health hazard of a hot dog stand - which is precisely what he’s been eating for the better part of his short-lived adulthood. mindful eating? nutritional value? those aren’t things he has time to think about, not when there’s things to be done. ❛ thank you, directions would be nice. i much prefer that to the alternative. ❜ the alternative being googling it, which he’d rather not have to do if he doesn’t have to. he’s quick to speak again, trying to save some time of her needing to write. ❛ feel free to lead the way, you don’t have to respond. ❜
hearing the restaurant's name repeated, she gives a nod, even if it wasn’t necessarily directed at her, a confirmation of the name is better than leaving it up in the air for question, right?
there is a momentary glimpse of glee in normally nervous eyes when he thanks her for and tells her to lead the way. she almost goes to write on her notebook, but she doesn’t have to, he says. with that she gives a nod and begins walking, sending a glance back to make sure that he would begin following. when she’s sure that he is, she faces forward, continuing on.
after a moment of silence, even with the comfortable confidence that she had found something suitable and was even directing him to the little restaurant, she can’t help but feel a bit restless. perhaps it was because she wasn’t used to actually guiding people places? or was it just the confidence bubbling and boiling over into urging her to continue “talking”? Either way, a quiet voice comes from her.
‘ are you visiting the area? ’ she asks. it’s not a very prying question, she doesn’t think. and it’s good for conversation, right? there could be a possibility she could recommend other places, too!
