something i love about haseo being a protagonist is because he’s like the protagonist u want to hate.

he’s an ass to like everyone he meets , but honestly i think it’s fun. obviously he goes like way too far a lot , but it kinda balances out with each moment that he shows he cares & the growth he goes

but moreso on the fact after doing like 90% of the arena , it’s just because he’s scared of losing. he cared about shino & when she became a Lost One he became so insistent on winning no matter what it takes , because to him , if you always win then you’ll never lose anything. it’s why when he learned what it meant to lose & i mean like just lose. when he lost control of himself & was quite literally in an out of body moment watching helplessly as he saw himself being controlled & beating the shit out of kuhn & just him screaming for it all to stop like i just. that’s been just a big oof & i can’t stop thinking about it & seeing haseo’s growth ? it’s wild

YOU WERE ALWAYS ONE TO STARE OFF INTO SPACE . clumsy and awkward through and through - your brown eyes gazing at nothing in particular . actually , they sort of hurt from the setting sun’s light as you stood at mac anu’s harbor . blonde locks moving with the gentle wind . it felt good on your skin , the cool air of autumn .

it wasn’t like you were lost in thought , quite the opposite . you’d been simply giving a blank stare as people clad in armor pass by - minding their own business .

the only thing to bring you back to earth were the sound of footsteps approaching you . instantly , you snapped out of whatever trance you were in and quickly turned to face whomever it was .

it was haseo .

you never knew / this would be your ending ( your beginning ).

the sight of atoli brings a small smile to your lips / a rarity on your visage ( never once has your smile ever felt real / as if it held it’s own gravity / as though it was more than just an empty lie ). your hands are not holy , but / they still glide towards hers & interlock with her delicate hands. you were careful / it’s a strange feeling ( your hands being careful / it was still something you needed to adjust to ).
