No oneâs even on this blog, but there are some silly things that need to be shown...
burusapphire replied to your post: Clearly he deserves some ice cream today. ( Not as...
` is obviously staring at the ice cream.
âDo you need something, Aoko?â Hopefully not his ice cream, because heâs gotten pretty attached to it. ( Or at least eaten quite a bit. )
Clearly he deserves some ice cream today.
( Not as though he needs an excuse, of course, but might as well take advantage of having a reason. )
This magician may be missing a card right now, which may or may not be the ace of clubs thatâs keeping company with some sticks of incense. Of course, heâs making other plans more in line with family tradition, but... An actual notice is going to wait until after midnight.
pasturetime replied to your post: âŚÂ âHow did Hakuba manage to get a single strand of...
âThe answer is simple, really. I simply had ⌠Ah, but telling you would ruin the mystery, wouldnât it?â
âOh yes, donât explain a thing. Iâd prefer keeping the mental image of you just staring at some stray piece of hair while the chaos was going on.â
... âHow did Hakuba manage to get a single strand of hair to where he knew it was mine? He doesnât exactly join in dogpiles to yank it off himself.â
Granted, that âevidenceâ was already circumstantial at this point, but still. The fact that Hakuba managed to sure about the hair and the fact that he was right in who it actually belonged to was... about as much of a miracle as anything Kidâs accomplished.
âSo... who likes to run?â
edogawaconantanteisanâ:
âJoke?â Conan said looking rather perplexed. Usually people tended to try and rile him up on purpose. hattori certainly seemed fond of doing it. âLike teasing I assume?â he commented as well placing his hand to his chin.Â
âThat⌠may be true,â he conceded. However first he had to be able to determine what the joke was. âI probably do have a problem, but Iâm working on it,â he almost huffed. It was hard when his first instinct was defense or this person probably wants me dead.
Yes, like teasing. Both jokes and teasing donât really call for threats that they both know are just as likely to happen as they arenât. And those very real threats make it a little hard to maintain a friendly conversation when heâs aware a certain detective would be more than happy to send him flying at any given opportunity.
â...Iâd say the best way to curb that kind of habit would be to leave your weapon at home until you lose that trigger.... foot.â Trigger finger for guns, foot for soccer balls, that works. âBut I guess itâd be a lot worse if you stumbled into some trouble without it, so youâll just have to get some self control.â
Heâll just. Keep out of sight for a short while. For no reason, heâs sure.
edogawaconantanteisanâ:
âHaa figured it was worth a shot,â Conan lamented, however he did not sound all that shocked. He was not sure whether he could take his answer at face value anyway, so he chose not too entirely, they lived odd lives after all.
There was the faintest of twitches, âI thought you wanted less soccer balls in your life~â
It filtered into something though more concerned. âI would not if I were youâŚreally would not.â That was not a threat, after all if *they* thought Shinichi Kudo was still alive and working with Kaitou Kid or was him⌠well Kid might have more at his heists to worry about than the snipers he already seemed to deal with.
Especially after the last âShinichi Kudoâ still being alive, debacleâŚ
â...You really need to pick up on jokes, tantei-kun~â Though the concern was almost touching. Really, using a disguise too often wore out its effectiveness anyway. Heâd rather save the use of otherâs face for those times he canât wear a mask without being found out almost immediately, since he would like to avoid getting arrested if he can. Emergency use only.
âAnd you also might not want to jump to threats as your initial reaction to said jokes. This is why people,â aka this teasing thief, âthink you may have a problem.â
edogawaconantanteisanâ:
âWell it could have endedâŚa lot worse,â Conan said with a faint sweat drop, even as he ruffled his own bangs. In all honesty, it was probably something he was not going to let Hattori live down either.
Conan had not expected him to move so quickly either, he knew Hattori harbored some kind of rivalry with him, while he knew that when it came to their detective workâŚhe had not expected it to apply to romance as well.
âRan has great timing you should thank her, by never disguising as her again,â he said with a faint smirk.
âAs grateful as I am, I canât exactly say Iâll never disguise as her.â Disguises were dependent on the situation, after all. âBut if I have other options, then sure, I wonât choose her.â
Donât take his answer too seriously, Kid grew a full smirk as soon as he finished saying that. âBesides... I always have that backup disguise of a certain detective whoâs never at my heists, but would never be out of place with everyone else.â Heâs kidding. ...Probably. âKudo Shinichiâ coming to one of the more normal heists sounded like more effort to find an excuse than itâd be worth.
edogawaconantanteisanâ:
âNormally, I think you were extremely lucky in that case though,â Conan said a bit bluntly. He did not really want to think of the alternate outcomes either, considering Hattori would never be able to live that one down.
âSeems like it,â Conan had to agree, it was a bit surprising how quickly Hattori had moved well⌠after he had moved. He was kind of proud of the Osakan, if he was being honest.
âLuck had nothing to do with it. Though, I think I will try not going with flustering people as a distraction for a while...â
Granted, he did have a ton of luck sometimes. But he had planned on making it so the detective was too flustered to think too hard about anything... and man that backfired on him. Heâs not exactly used to affecting people enough for them to actually try and make moves...
...On the one hand, heâd really not like to think about this too long. But on the other, if he ever saw the Osakan again, thereâs a good amount of teasing to be done. Oh well, thatâs a consideration for a later time.
Ah, yes, who doesnât love some tedium?
edogawaconantanteisanâ:
Conan was fairly certain that his tally would be biased as well, therefore not really a fair one, unless he asked Hakuba one timeâŚhm⌠He would consider that at a later date.Â
âI suppose that is true, I may have thought Hattori knew you were in disguise and was wrong on that,â Conan conceded. He actually had not exactly known what Hattori had been going for, he thought he had known. Color him shocked when Ran had thankfully intervened. He had a feeling neither one of them would have lived that down.Â
When Kid had disguised as Sera had been one of the mostâŚwell interesting times to put it lightly.Â
âYeah... Normally, it is a good thing to have people not see through it...â But that was yet another situation heâd never be able to live down. Thankfully, nothing was actually allowed to happen, so itâll have to be remembered as just a scare.
...Heâs not sure he wants to think about the alternative outcomes anyway.
âSeems heâs not as innocent as you when it comes to dealing with the girl heâs interested in, is he?â
edogawaconantanteisanâ:
âProbably but I need a topic change before my ears burn from my own stupidity,â well at least he was being honest if a bit flippant.
âMaybe I need to make an official tally to myself one day, maybe itâs just my memories making it seem like more than it actually is,â he admitted. âI mean logically that makes sense to me, whatever slips into a crowd or a certain scenario would be the best option.â Hell Conan had dressed up as a girl twiceâŚor more.
âDoesnât being specific people also get you into trouble? Like more recently? With Osakan Detectives?â
A tally would be interesting. Granted, itâd make more sense for the person whoâs done various disguises to do a full count, but any count would be something to see. He doesnât exactly keep exact track himself. As was said, whatever fit best...
...Oh. Ah...
âHey, it still let me get my target in the end...â But yes, yes it has gotten him into trouble. With said Osakan detective, with the girl in the menâs restroom, with disguising as Aoko so often that some dangerous people actually thought Nakamori-keibu was Kid... BUT it worked for what he needed, and it still helps for getting into or out of places. ...Just may have caused problems outside of the immediate heist situation.Â
Will that change? ...Probably not. The pros tended to outweigh the cons for things like that, even if the cons were getting more and more difficult.
edogawaconantanteisanâ:
Conan gave a slight uncertain shrug. He was not sure he entirely trusted the thief admittedly, but did he deserve soccer ball death? âŚnot as often admittedly as he had been giving it. The taser though? Oh yeah, he did not feel bad about THAT retaliation.Â
There was a very unfortunate good chance that would come into play later. He would try but their battlefields were, somewhat confirmed at that point. ââŚif weâre asking weird questions why do you dress as women so much?â that may have been the cause of another soccer ball retaliation HOW DARE YOU DRESS AS RAN!
...He wouldnât call asking why someone would kick a ball at him with prejudice a âweird questionâ, but...
âHavenât we talked about that before?â While he was dressed as a- ...well, guess they both know that was an excuse. And the detective had so politely considered the last topic, so. âI wouldnât say I do it âso muchâ. If I need a male disguise to get in somewhere, I use a male disguise. If a female disguise is necessary, the same applies. Being specific people helps in most situations. Itâs not nearly as complicated or personal as your reasons for things seem to be sometimes...â
And what he wonât say is that those male disguises, more often than not, are the ones that get him into places. Generic female disguises... are usually to play a ditz and act too ignorant to be Kid. Heâs pretty sure some people wouldnât hesitate to beat him up for that. Not his fault heâs exploiting expectations...
