Voice Claim - Perrin Dubois

Since everyone has been posting voice claims, here’s mine for Perrin.

The last line of this clip is also incredibly fitting given his character.

Overhaul

TL;DR: Decided I’d use this blog for all my characters rather than just the one. Some posts were removed and I’ll be filling it with a few posts a day.

The stench of blood seemed to forever follow the towering Elezen man as he stalked the upper canopy of the Black Shroud's ancient trees. It clung to his furs, hanging around him like a fog that served to cloud his mind further. How long had he been lost in the woods now? Weeks? Moons? He'd lost track of the time as the madness within the back of his mind continued to gnaw away at what logical thoughts the man could pull together.

That was another matter entirely. The man knew full well something was wrong with him and yet he couldn't identify nor investigate it. What was worse was it only seemed to become far more debilitating with time. Anyone who knew him well would be able to see he was suffering. Under the wolf-head helm he wore, streaks of gray ran thick through the ebon mane he was once so very proud of while the striking blue eyes seemed almost... dull. 

Outside of the obvious physical changes, his mental state was incredibly questionable. He wasn't even certain he could consider himself sane. The scent of blood seemed almost invigorating, driving him towards hostility without so much as a warning to those who tread across his territory. Any excuse they gave fell upon deaf ears until at last, he heard their screams. 

That was perhaps the most disturbing part of the entire ordeal. 

He found pleasure in their suffering.

As his leather boots paced back and forth along the heavy branch that held him, he found himself conflicted. While he could easily leave the protection of his woods, it would no doubt involve the risk of losing control. The issue of finding someone capable of lending aid also falls into questionable territory. Staying ensured he would be contained but how certain could he be that it wouldn't worsen? No doubt it would progress to the point where he'd simply devolve into nothing more than a beast, not unlike those he often found himself protecting.

It was with a growl of annoyance that he found himself leaning against the trunk of the mighty tree, eyes closing and brows knit. Despite the risk, it was clear he needed help. After all, if he lost himself, there was no certainty that he'd not hunt down the beasts of the wood once passerby avoided the area.

With that in mind, he gathered his bow over his shoulder and began his descent to the forest floor. He hadn't the slightest idea who might well be able to lend him aid but it was better he be lost out there than endanger his only home.
