Epilogue
After the complete and utter destruction of Neo Atlantica, leaving a second pile of ruins beside the sunken vessel that once was the RMS Despair, the escape submarine containing the 11 survivors and any loved ones that hadn’t died drifted through the water for days, looking for a place to land. Eventually, the submarine was spotted drifting near Neo France, and was quickly guided to the landing pad and transported inside the dome.
Once the survivors told their tale, public outrage was sparked worldwide, and an array of lawsuits, protests, and petitions commenced to try and get Hope’s Peak Academy to close its doors forever, both on land and in the Neo Nations. After a couple years of legal battles, both Hope’s Peak campuses were officially shut down for good.
After receiving medical treatment for injuries and other physical ailments, the survivors of the incident began to undergo therapy, many receiving therapy animals to help them cope with what they had gone through. Not long after Hope’s Peak was shut down, the students of RMS Seaworld created an organization of sorts - an alumni association, to be precise. Any and all former Hope’s Peak students were open to join the association if they wished, and pretty much every living alumni that they could track down was personally invited, which of course included but was not limited to the RMS Despair and RMS Monoland survivors who were still alive.
The Hopes Peak Alumni Association, or HPAA as it was abbreviated to, was organized with the purpose of trying to better the world. Although Hope’s Peak was no longer around itself, those who had once walked its hallowed halls under the title Super High School Level were still the very epitome of hope. And in a world overrun by chaos, hope was very much needed.
The HPAA worked tirelessly both on land and in the Neo Nations, striving for a better future. Their main goals were the elimination of terrorism, reformation of the world above the sea, and the reform of both mental health care and child protective services (such as coming up with better methods of spotting abusive households).
Through education, volunteer work, and a lot of willpower, the HPAA, the very beacon of hope in dark times, was trying to rebuild their world. And never again would another game of mutual killing come along to strike fear into the hearts of helpless teenagers.

Game Over…
Lars Storstrand Holmlund Has Been Found Guilty
Commencing Execution
Old Sparky
[TW: Electrocution]
When the votes rolled in against him, the journalist had barely seemed affected if at all. The same subtle smirk was showing on his face, tongue resting carefully between his teeth. In fact, he seemed rather pleased with himself more than anything.
Though they extended out toward him, the chains need not bother, for Lars steadily and patiently walked out toward where they would have taken him. He didn’t seem afraid. He didn’t even seem remotely worried at the fact that he was going to die. No, he simply tucked his hands into his emptied pockets and proceeded straight through, right through a doorway flanked with heavy steel doors. He was consumed by darkness for a few moments before the area surrounding him was suddenly flooded with light.
Lars seemed to be in a far corner of the dome, something right up next to a glass wall. There seemed to be a fair-sized crack a bit of distance away, but one’s attention would immediately be garnered by the massive, brass-colored setup in front of them. There, just a few feet away from Lars, sat a monstrous machine covered in various knobs, dials, and a couple of meters. There was a chair situated in front of it, a chair lined with straps and restraints, a chair that Lars didn’t even get a chance to willingly sit down in before chains latched onto his wrists and ankles and pulled him right back into the seat, the wrist shackles pulling up his sleeves and slicing one of his already heavily scarred arms open in the process.
Once in place, he felt the restraints on the chair automatically slip on and tighten around his wrists and ankles. Gritting his teeth, he gripped the armrests with his thankfully partially free hands until his knuckles turned white, though he seemed to relax moments afterward. Taking in a deep, heavy breath, he stared straight ahead, right into the faces of his classmates, and cracked a grin wider than the one before.
He knew exactly what was coming. He had planned this out from scratch, carefully laying out every detail. And he knew, probably better than anyone else in the dome, that the electric chair was a rather showy form of state execution; however it was designed not to be painful. He managed to maintain his grin as the metallic dome was lowered onto his head, feeling the blood from his freshly slashed wrist trickling down his hand. Brain death, and then a jolt to the rest of his organs. At the very least, it was going to be almost instantaneous.
Until… the dome fell backward, missing his head and dropping to the floor with a clunk.
The journalist inhaled sharply in surprise, his brows knitting in fear when he realized what this meant.
Until… the dome fell backward, missing his head and dropping to the floor with a clunk.
The journalist inhaled sharply in surprise, his brows knitting in fear when he realized what this meant.
The electricity began quickly after that, Lars’ body beginning to jerk and twitch as he felt the energy flow through his body. It didn’t take long before the boy’s skin became charred, his hair singed, and pretty soon the execution chamber was filled with smoke.
When that cleared out, there was no life left in the crumpled, vaguely smoking body that had once been Lars Holmlund. He had been a hard-nosed, rational, and extremely callous boy, cruel but direct, and had held them all hostage in this dome for all of these months. But when that smoke cleared and his form became distinguishable again, it was ever so clear that the Mastermind was dead. The class was free.
C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S
GOOD END
Looking around at his fellow classmates, Lars expected the glares of hatred, the anger. What he didn’t expect was the… being accepted with open arms. Finally, after a bit of pestering, he had finally nodded. He admitted… the idea sounded appealing. He was hasty with thought, a bit hesitant. He didn’t know if he trusted these people not to throw him out at sea. But… taking the risk was the entire idea of it, wasn’t it?
“Fine,” he had said in a firm, but quiet voice, then offering the priest a handshake in a show of peace. He twirled the ring on his left pinky finger a bit after they broke the grip, biting down on his bottom lip a little bit. He… honestly looked as if he was about to cry.
He led the way to the headquarters, once again explaining what had to be done in order to get them all out safely the entire time. He went quiet though, just after the sub had taken off. He had taken refuge on his bed, curled up with a book.
His accent had slipped out more than ever now, and his voice shook just slightly as he spoke for the first time since they had taken off. This was to nobody in particular, but they were two quiet words, followed by two more. "Thank you. I’m sorry.“
He then shifted his body just a little bit to bury his face in the pillow.
Little to nothing seemed to have changed from Lars’ demeanor before to now. Arms folded tight to his chest, mouth pressed into a thin line, and nostrils flared slightly, the blond closed his eyes and exhaled a deep, slightly annoyed sigh.
“Hm… Bit of a surprising turn of events, yes? Surprising, but not impressive…”
Jesus, was there any bounds to when this boy could and could not sound annoyed? As he spoke though, his accent seemed to thicken by the word. It never became terribly difficult to understand him, only clear that he had been holding back on it. Out of seemingly nowhere, his eyes snapped open and he took a moment to look at the faces of each one of his individual classmates. He then rolled his eyes and snickered slightly.
“Sad, really. I know I slipped. Fucked up. Didn’t think. But christ, it took you long enough to figure it out. I’m disappointed.”
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, his lips curled into an amused, surprisingly genuine smile. How out of character it was likely made everyone’s skin crawl on its own, but… the words that came with it didn’t help in the slightest. He even sounded… slightly amused.
“Heh. It was great watching this whole time, good sport. You know I didn’t even go back to check who had done it until right before half the time. I love a good investigation. Not to mention the rat race. All just… so entertaining. I love a good show. Don’t you?”
But despite it all, the amusement these next few words were practically spit out as his expression quickly changed again.
“Now, I know what you’re thinking. Trust me, trust me I know. But I don’t idolize any of those goddamned amateurs that came before me. No. Good ideas, abysmal execution. No pun intended. How about you all just listen?”
Body Discovery
The past couple of weeks, everyone in Neo Atlantica has been on edge. But, then again, why wouldn’t they be? Monobear had informed them that their days in this dome were numbered, and that the dome shattering and flooding was inevitable. Every little creak or groan that was carried to your ears made your heart skip a beat. And yet, nobody had killed yet…you’re starting to think that all your fellow classmates would prefer to just die together.
However, you’re proven wrong, because as soon as you step out of your bunker, you catch a whiff of a horrific burning smell, and a split second later you hear someone scream. Following the sound, you find yourself in central park, standing in front of the corpse of yet another one of your classmates.
“ Ding dong! Attention, everyone! A body has been found! You have just a few hours before trial to gather as much evidence as you can! See you then!”

Raeleigh uses his despair key.
Monobear takes the final despair key from Raeleigh’s hands and uses it to unlock the gate for the district directly below Main Street.
The Ward is now open for exploration and Investigation.
This area consists of a large graveyard depicting tombs and graves of all deceased previous students of RMS-Despair and RMS-Monoland, and their deceased family members.
The Haunted Mansion is simply as it is stated, a haunted mansion. It looks like it’s abandoned and falling apart… One could explore this building, but they’d need to be careful who knows what’s lurking inside.Deep within the Mental Asylum, however, students may be able to find something worthwhile… What that could be though is for you to find out.And the Headquarters… Well, we’ll get to that momentarily.
The huge graveyards, and buildings aside… the surrounding area is bleak. Dead looking, almost. There are abandoned, dilapidated houses and shops here and there that aren’t of importance to be put on the map itself. They don’t look very safe to go in to though, so you probably shouldn’t try to adventure within them unless you wanna get hurt…
Staring straight down the path that leads you directly to the Headquarters is probably the creepiest, most gruesome sight you have ever laid your eyes upon. Beyond a few more dilapidated shops and what not, you find yourself upon… an open field of sorts. The Headquarters is just within plain sight, but… surrounding you… all around you are bodies. Dead bodies. Of course, they aren’t just any bodies…. They’re…. All of the bodies from the game. It’s the other students… All of the students that have died are all on display for everyone to see as if they were just props. The smell alone is enough to make it very clear that they are quite the opposite.
Suppressing a shudder that tears down your spine you gag momentarily at the sight of it all. It’s hard not to just retch up whatever you ate just earlier this day on the spot here and now. It’s probably best to just hurry inside and… try your best not to stick around this area any longer than you have to.Or, well, you would hurry inside if the entrance to the Headquarters wasn’t sealed off by a steel door that appears to be welded shut. Good luck getting in that way.All of the nearby windows seem to also be boarded up from the inside as well. It looks as though you’re just going to have to look around for a way inside…
[[ YOU MAY NOW BEGIN INVESTIGATING THE WARD. ]]
The Final Countdown
By now, things have become routine. A horrible new motive is introduced, and in less than a week, someone snaps and kills someone else. Things go back to normal for a couple days until another new motive is introduced. It’s almost sickening how you’ve gotten almost used to deaths being a weekly occurrence…what has being in this place done to you?
Nonetheless, there should have been a motive announced today…why hasn’t it happened yet? You’re beginning to think that there isn’t going to be any new motive, but this optimistic assumption is crushed when you hear the familiar announcement ring through the dome.
“Attention, citizens of Neo Atlantica! Please report to the Town Hall for an important announcement! And make it snappy!”
Strange, Monobear’s words seem to be more hurried and irritable than usual…what had him all fired up? What if someone had tried to break another rule? Regardless, you don’t want to keep an angry bear waiting, so you briskly head to Town Hall and wait for Monobear to speak.
“It appears that I made a mistake when implementing the freezing temperature motive this past week…you see, the frost that formed around the dome seems to have done some damage…”
“What is the damage, you might ask? Well, as we speak, the dome is beginning to crack! Now, I’m sure you all know what that means - the dome is going to keep on cracking and cracking, and soon enough, it’s going to snap, and the dome is going to flood, killing all you bastards inside! And what’s more, there’s no way to repair the damage! Flooding is inevitable!”
Your heart stops when you hear this…this motive has to be the worst of them all!
“However, there is a way to save your pathetic lives.”
“This is all or nothing! Someone kills before the dome can crack? The winner of that trial gets out. The culprit, or the innocents. Either that, or this dome floods and everyone inside perishes.”
“Upupu…this is the final countdown, you bastards! Be sure not to dawdle!”
Tears and Fears (Closed Starter)

Hiyori wasn’t able to sleep the night after the trial, even with Chieko there to keep her company. It was emotionally taxing, having to do this every week. Last week… someone actually killed themselves. Hiyori never spoke to Ophelia outside of trials, but she’d wanted to. It was honestly a shame she had to go, and upset Hiyori greatly. Ophelia was nice. At least she left on her own terms, rather than being killed. And she wouldn’t want her to be sad! She had to be strong.
Serenity, on the other hand. She was working with Monobear to save her family. She was still conflicted on what to think of Serenity, even a week later. It was understandable to want to protect one’s family, but she also betrayed the rest of the class. Hiyori was naturally stressed out and horrified, but she knew that some had taken it worse than her.
This week’s trial had been even harder. She’d never spoken to the victims, or even the killer but… It was so warped. So absolutely horrifying. The way Linus’ mind worked. It honestly shocked her. He killed both Dominique and Otto for the sake of them being together forever. To think she’d trusted him. To think she’d trusted anyone here. Hiyori has no clue what to expect of the other students. Anyone could kill.
She’d seen how terribly the trial affected Raeleigh, even if she didn’t want to put too much attention on him or crowd him in his stand. That was the last thing that would help him. He needed someone to be there for him, by the looks of it. He was lucky Anri was nearby during the trials to comfort him. She wanted to help comfort Raeleigh, so she’d have to seem strong, for his sake. To her, he was one of the only students left for her to trust. She hadn’t spoken to him since the first week, but she wanted to find him again, and ensure he was okay. After all, he’d helped her during the first week. She stepped out of her dorm room early, leaving a note for Chieko, before going out to find Raeleigh.
The last two weeks had been incredibly taxing for Raeleigh to deal with. In this brief, brief time six people had died. Six. Just thinking about that fact alone was enough to make Raeleigh rub his face to try and hopefully get rid of his exhausted wariness.
Raeleigh wasn’t one to trust people so easily, yet… Yet, here he was. With a whole list of people he felt he could trust, but these trials… All of it had made it clear that he shouldn’t even do that. He had made friends with a number of people; Tori, Kymani, Anri, Hiyori… It was a long list, and he had even spoken to some of the people that were now dead. With a shudder he flopped back in his bed letting nothing but his thoughts engulf him in the quiet, early morning of his bunker. He could see them, you know. He could see some of them. The students. The one’s who died. So far… none of them had tried to approach him, and for that he was grateful. He… He had no idea just what he would say or do if one of them decided to try and talk to him or something along those lines. The fact alone that he could just see them though, the ones who died, it was… It somehow made the situation more real, more mentally exhausting to him.
And while all of that had affected him Raeleigh felt… embarrassed. Horribly so, even. The way he had acted during Serenity, Hano, and Ophelia’s trial… While it was an understandable reaction from him to some people it was just downright embarrassing to him alone. He had never had friends, nor had he ever thought he would get friends… Let alone in a dangerous situation like this. And during that trial… three of them, all people he had thought he would be able to befriend…. they all died. At least Ophelia died of her own accord, right? A bitter laugh bubbled up from the boy at that thought. Yes, they were all dead. He could perfectly understand that, after all, death was the most familiar thing he had in his life. He was used to dealing with death, and watching and interacting with the dead. Raeleigh could, at least, still do that. He could still interact with them and see them when no one else could. (Besides the other two mediums, of course.)
Would he do that, however? Willingly… Raeleigh would not speak to them. It was hard. Having a talent like his, and being in a situation like this. Willingly talking to those that died would put him into…. work-mode. As much as he hated to admit it, he would feel… numb talking to them. So, he just didn’t. The most he had done was simply watch them all from afar, but it was emotionally taxing just to simply see them, really.
Heaving out a big sigh Raeleigh realized it would be another sleepless night- to no one’s surprise either considering the deep bags he had under his eyes. While he felt like his trust was breaking with most people at the lone thought of any of them betraying him, he was also… Glad. To have some people be there for him. To comfort him. …It was new and foreign. Something he hadn’t experienced at all before coming to this place. Shaking his head to hopefully clear his onslaught of endless thoughts, Raeleigh had stood up. Carefully and quietly he had decided that he really needed some fresh air especially now that the freezing motive was officially over. Zipping up his jacket and checking to make sure he had his things- his game console and his ID- he had slipped out into the early morning.
Taking a look around the peaceful landscape of the Main Street he allowed the serene atmosphere to overtake him. He wouldn’t get gloomy about this situation, not after he had made it so far. Too many people’s lives were at stake here, and he felt… a wild, willful need to protect them. To his best capabilities that is seeing as though he wasn’t very psychically strong at all… The best he could do was simply be there for them. To help them heal mentally and emotionally. During these hopeful thoughts Raeleigh had been walking rather aimlessly. In no direction particularly, and found himself in the park. While it was quiet here, Raeleigh couldn’t help but feel troubled and cautious as he took a seat on one of the benches in the park. Someone could easily sneak up on him- this he knew, but… At the same time… after all of that…? Would they…? Giving his head another shake to help clear all of his thoughts he simply took out his old handy 3DS with hopes of letting Pokemon absorb him completely. At least this would help give him some much needed solace.
Hiyori had taken to wandering Main Street in order to find Raeleigh. Whenever she thought about how helpful he'd been, to everyone, and how stressed and anxious he seemed all the time, she felt that she should go talk to him. She admittedly considered him a friend. The Toymaker hadn't spoken to many people since arriving, so she wasn't that close to anyone for the most part.
Hiyori bit her lip as she continued walking, making her way into the park. Raeleigh was always closed off, and very introverted. What if he didn't want to speak to her if she did find him? After the last few weeks, not wanting to speak to anyone seemed almost natural. She'd just have to find out when she got there, wouldn't she?
She took in the park as she traveled. She wasn't sure what brought her there, but it was possible that he may be there. Call it a gut feeling. And, sure enough, looking tired as ever, Raeleigh was sitting on one of the benches, absorbed in Pokémon. She looked at him from afar for a few moments, before deciding to walk over to the medium.
Hiyori tended to pay attention to Raeleigh during trials, concerned about how he was taking them, and did usually try to see how he was doing when she was near him around the dome, but it had been awhile since their last real conversation. She waved to him, and tried to smile a little. "Hey, Raeleigh. I was actually... looking for you. I just wanted to talk a little. How are you feeling? So many terrible things have happened these last two weeks, and I wanted to make sure you were alright." Ophelia's suicide, Serenity's betrayal, Silas killing. She looked at the bench, cleared her throat. "Do you mind if I sit here?"

Body Discovered
In spite of the freezing cold, you and your fellow citizens have decided to check the new opened area - Old Town Atlantica. While milling about and window shopping at the various different shops, you hear several people shouting, and turn your heads to see a few students gathered at the sweets shop, at the back. Orochi is at the front trying and failing to open the door, and when you head around back you notice there is smoke coming from a crack in one of the windows.
Kris Kantor pushes open the window and crawls through, mentioning something about unlocking the front door, so you and the rest of the crowd quickly join Orochi at the front entrance. After several moments, a shuffling sound is heard from inside, and the door is opened by a somber-looking Kris. You’re about to ask him what’s wrong, when you look over his shoulder and spot two motionless bodies inside the shop.
“ Ding dong! Attention, everyone! A body has been found! You have just a few hours before trial to gather as much evidence as you can! See you then!”

Hiyori was pushing a shopping cart slowly and tiredly. This thing was really heavy. Because it was filled with food. A few steps behind her, Chieko too, was pushing a cart full of food. This much probably wasn’t necessary, but hey. They were upset after the last trial, and obviously hungry. Serenity had betrayed all of them. And Ophelia had killed herself.
They finally reached her dorm room, and Hiyori used her ID Card to unlock the door. “Th-This... This is your first time seeing my room.” She opened the door, and tried to push one through, shoving it when it got stuck. “I-It doesn’t fit!” Hiyori began pushing the cart, while Chieko tackled it next to her. The cart didn’t budge. “M-Maybe if we empty it out, and leave them here?” Hiyori removed the cart from the now dented doorway, and began taking food out to carry it into her dorm. She began laying it on the ground, preparing it for consumption. “I’m r-r-really hungry.”
She smiled at Chieko a little. “Y-You can spend th-the night! You can use that bed.” She pointed to Keiko’s old bed, disregarding the lump on it. She’d forgotten that she was keeping her Raeleigh dakimakura there. If Chieko uncovered it, shed be in for quite the fright. Opening a bag of oranges, Hiyori set about peeling one, before settling down on her bed. She pulled her 3DS off the nightstand to turn it on before looking at Chieko. They needed to relax after all that.
GAME OVER SERENITY CHAMBERS HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY COMMENCING EXECUTION
The room sets itself up, all around the room, and audience is set up of dolls, dolls without faces but still resembling people. They seem to be friends, family, and then even the students from the first two mutual killings. Doubles pop up, triples, more and more of each puppet fill up the seats. In the middle of the room, something resembling a mermaid is hoisted up. It’s almost the size of a two story building. Then more puppets show up around it, each one holding a sword. Footsteps echo. Click, clack, click, clack. Serenity enters the room with a spear in one hand. She stops walking, looking up to the mermaid figure, then starting to walk again, slowly gaining pace until she was running. The puppets of the past classes charge at her, their swords held high as they ran. She spun the spear in her hands and slashed at the puppets as she herself ran. Tetsuya, Iain, Anna H, Lohendra, Yousuke, Tommy…one by one they fell.
Skidding to a stop, she looks up at the towering mermaid, it looks back down at her, swinging its own sword at her now. She jumps back, avoiding the attack, glaring at the creature. More puppets come up around her just to be cut in half by the spear. She charges at the mermaid once more, this time getting her spear into its tail. But as she goes to pull it out, she finds it’s stuck. No matter how much she pulls on it, it won’t budge. The mermaid shrieks, striking at Serenity once more. She jumps back, looking at the remaining puppets. There…seems to be more? Where are they coming from? Some of them she can recognize from both the museum and her mom’s school pictures. Without her weapon, she can’t necessarily attack these things…she sprints at the mermaid figure once more, just to find that her weapon had disappeared. Another swing of the sword made her draw back. “Shit…” Serenity looked around, hoping one of the puppets she’d killed earlier had dropped a weapon. A crack came from the mermaid’s armored body. “BEHIND YOU.” It sounded hurt, desparate. Serenity’s eyes lit up, turning behind her when a sword impaled her chest, the light in her eyes quickly fading. Behind her stood a puppet in the image of her mother when she attended Hope’s Peak
“SERENITY!!!!” Another voice came from the mermaid, Serenity turning her attention back over as another sword entered her stomach. Looking down, a blond puppet held the handle of the new sword. Her look was familiar but she couldn’t place where she’s seen it. She coughed, blood escaping her mouth. “you lied…” Her voice small as her eyes darted around the room, vision beginning to blur as her gaze fixated on the mermaid above her. “M…om….Momm…a…” The puppets withdrew their swords, the girl landing on her knees before falling over. Vision fading…fast…she looked up again, the mermaid’s sword swinging down on her body, the last thing she sees is the sword connecting with her neck. Screams are heard from the mermaid before being cut off suddenly.

No food? Tori raised an eyebrow at Monobear’s announcement, and held a hand up to her stomach. Luckily Tori had eaten a pretty big breakfast this morning, and she didn’t even have a particularly large appetite in the first place, so hopefully she could stave off the hunger for a bit, even if it was just a couple of hours.
However, Tori knew that this motive was going to definitely work pretty soon. Sure, maybe for the first day or so everyone would be fine, but once the constant hunger gnawing at everyone’s stomachs started to really take effect, someone was bound to lash out, for the sake of themselves, or perhaps even for the sake of everyone else. Despite the almost absolute threat of a new murder, the silver lining was that everyone starving to death before someone else took another’s life was near impossible. And of course, two deaths was better than 19.
Hiyori was trying to resist the urge to groan loudly as soon as the motive was announced. They expected her to go without food? She put a hand to her stomach and it started growling. She’d inherited her father’s rather large appetite, and couldn’t go long times without food. She looked down into her hands. Maybe she could eat Koe?
She frowned deeply. This was gonna suck, wasn’t it? Well, she’s gotta stay awake and focused. There was no point in being childish. Maybe talking to someone would make her feel a bit better. Hiyori began walking over to the closest student, who she recognized as Tori. “Hey, what do you think of this motive?” She was using her doll as usual. Hiyori seemed to be looking around the room, her eyes widened.
