Trashy Music on a Ship | Kayla | Chapter 2 Event | CLOSED for Sango
Okay, Sangoâs inability to understand that Kaylaâs absurd obsession with trash was anything short of a series of jokes meant that she was actually appreciating this conversation⊠It was legitimately amusing. âI think youâre going for the word âsentientâ there, junklord.â She did feel a slight pang of guilt when Kayla claimed to feel she belonged alongside trash. Are we getting deep here? Is Kayla admitting to suffering from depression? Does she need someone to talk to? Even if Kayla was just joking, which⊠letâs face it, she wasnât, self-deprecation humor wasnât really Sangoâs thing.
âHey, donât say rubbish like thatâŠâ Sango grinned as she came up with yet another synonym. âYouâre not trash. You should be proud of where youâre at, and what you are. I mean up til the Monos took over, this was supposed to be to celebrate us as the best of our generation, yâknow? If youâre not feeling like socializing though, you donât have to. No oneâs going to make you.â
âItâs good to enjoy what you do. I know that I enjoyed my jobâŠâ Thereâs a hint of sadness in her eye. âIt may not have been glamorous, and it may have been dangerous, but⊠Itâs what I enjoy doing⊠Itâs what Iâm good at. Iâll tell you now, I wish I were out doing that rather than being stuck here for the past week and a half.â Sango shrugged. âSince we got here though? Iâve been doing a lot of the same. Helps me relax⊠Feels like home when I look out there, yâknow?
I tried swimming, but itâs way too cold at this point. Even if the poolâs heated, youâll freeze your ass off as soon as you get out of the water. Lately, Iâve just been trying to take care of Sorrel and Chieko-san⊠Hanging out with Vera.â Sango left it at that, figuring sheâd leave the conversation open for Kayla to continue in whatever direction she pleased.
