7 AM… The intercom flickers to life, as it had every morning for two weeks. It grew tiresome, the voice always grating, the chipper attitude contrasting the rest of the situation. Two had died, and there’s nothing you can do. Helpless, floundering… any attempt at revolting had proven to be dangerous.
This announcement… is a little different. You recognize the format as something similar to the first motive.
“Morning bastards. It’s time for another one of our meetings. Get your asses up to the observation deck and don’t keep me waiting this time.”
You force your way to the elevator with the rest of the class and climb inside, as with the few times before now. And at the top… The view is still beautiful, mocking you in it’s serenity. It isn’t snowing this morning, though the cold still nips at your skin.
Monomi isn’t here this time, for whatever reason, but the bear greets you with a sadistic smile, ready to greet you with the bad news. Presumably bad news, at least. Just about anything from this bear is bad news. Once everyone is present, he proceeds
“Alrighty! Well… I’m not offering any cash this time around. This time, I’ve decided to give all of you a gift. The gift of knowledge and entertainment! Back home, you better bet everyone’s stuck to their favorite news source keeping up to date on all the world’s events… I was thinking, and it’s a gosh-darned shame we don’t have anything like that around here.”
“Well, good ole Monokuma has decided to change that. Starting today, I’ll be providing a newscast about the people you’ve been living with! This way, you’ll have something to talk about, and maybe it’ll help ya figure out who among you bastards can be trusted… if anyone. Fun AND Educational? Aren’t I the best?
“Now, clearly something action-packed like a murder would fetch better ratings, so, you give me one of those, and I’ll pull this little newscast off the air.”
“Let’s start off with a big one! Standing amongst all of you, one of your fellow students is the Arch-Nemesis. The person responsible for this whole thing! I may be running the show now, but… None of this would have been possible without their planning!”
There’s a pause. A ripple of uncertainty and doubt waves over you all.
“If that wasn’t enough… Ten of you are criminals! What kinds of crimes did they commit? Tune in soon to find out!”
With the sour taste of doubt in your mouth, you look around the crowd.
