@shsldoublebass
Today the Department of Magnificent Musical Instruments is in awe of this massive Octobass. Invented in Paris by French luthier Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume around 1850, the instrument looks like a gigantic violin, but is more like an enormous double bass. The octobass stand 3.48 meters (11.4 feet) tall and has three strings.
“Because of the extreme fingerboard length and string thickness, the musician plays it using a system of hand and foot-activated levers and pedals. The instrument is so large that, sometimes, two musicians work together to play it: one to bow and the other to control the levers and foot pedals.”
In this fascinating video Musical Instrument Museum curator Colin Pearson provides an up-close look at the awesome octobass (and its equally impressive bow) and demonstrates how the instrument is played and what it sounds like.

Post-game Sasaki: ‘Masked Musician’ end
OK SO EVERYONE SURVIVES, Sasaki leaves the mountain and only tells Naohiro and Chisato (and Noboru by extension).
Sasaki goes out to find her adoptive dad and best friend. Hikaru is alive, but Yaya didn’t make it through the riots :c after mourning, Hikaru encourages Sasaki to speak up against everything that happened, but some habits die hard and Sasaki refuses outright. HOWEVER, she does decide to help in a way that suits her a bit more.
So, dropping classical music, Sasaki switches to Jazz bass and begins playing in nightclubs around Japan wearing a mask to hide her identity. A Masked Musician. And while in these night clubs, she gathers information and her real job would be as an information broker for organizations willing to support her, but maaainly ones related to Hope’s Peaks events.
For example, she comes into contact with YUKIE!! Yukie becomes somewhat like a mentor for Sasaki and teaches her the ins and outs of who to sell information to as well as commissioning gigs herself. The two become pretty decent friends.
There’s a few other people she helps out but I’ll hold off on publically sharing that.
Overall, Sasaki is under the radar but not IMPOSSIBLE to find if someone looks hard enough.
I’ll probably leave a post-game design sketch here pretty soon
One more for old time’s sake
THANK YOU GUYS
Thanks so much for the opportunity to play with you all in DA4. This was my first Doubt game and it was wonderful getting to meet all of you \o/
This isn’t exactly a long post since I’m tired and out of words but... It meant a lot. And I hope to see you guys again during DA5
*shows up hour late with breadsticks* My job kept me late D8
And now I shall go do stuff on Ruka's blog until further notice
WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH SASAKI YUZUKI the novella
Sorry for stealing your post title, Yuro.
tw: Child abuse, sexism, racism...
SORRY IF I SENGT ANYONE AN EXTRA STAR there's so many of these on my dash it's hard to keep track
★ ay lmao
Surprisingly a lot smarter than expected, though a bit blindly trusting. Sasaki never interacted with Setsuga, but she kind of admired his trust, though it needed to be toned down. A lot of the points Setsuga brought up surprised her a lot because he kind of came off as an idiot. Yet some of his points made sense? Too bad she had no idea the flower was from him :C
★!
The only person Sasaki was more terrified of than CU and MIO both was Shuu. CU had people who wanted to protect him and Sasaki got on his bad side by speaking where her thoughts weren't wanted just like what daddy said. Especially when CU outright saw her as a murderer, that kind of... hurt her a lot more than she let on. Probably moreso because if CU hated her, a lot of others would too. MIO was just... a lot of what she feared in men. in one body.

The first person besides Hikaru and Yaya to give Sasaki a gift! Clearly she wasn't used to receiving gifts and that meant a great deal to her. Being unable to leave her own comfort zone wrecked a lot of chances she had to make friends and her parents kinda... no. So Haruka was the first, no matter how small it seemed. Sasaki proceeded to see her as an incredibly generous and sweet person. Even if they didn't talk as frequently as they could have... Haruka was kind of idolized in Sass's mind for awhile after her death.
SORRY CHULA IM NOT SURE IF I SENT U A STAR YET BUT BEFORE I GO I AM SENDING U A -STAR- RN
ha...haa...ha...
Ok Sasaki didn't HATE Shuu because at least her death was very quick and thus not much suffering. But that didn't make her not terrified. Shuu was on her shit list for the sole reason that his very presence made her want to barf from sheer nerves. No thanks. AVOID SHUU SHIMURA AT ALL COSTS.
Did I send you a ★ I can't remember fml.
Chisato is trustworthy! Sasaki really really REALLY liked Chisato. Not in a best friend kind of way, maybe? Definitely friends but trust was above all else. And appreciation. No words could describe how much it meant to Sasaki that Chisato didn't hold the crippling against her. (though little did Sasaki know, Chisato kind of did laughs nervously).
Wonderful person who deserved to survive. Her motives may have been questionable, but she did some good things.
sends u a star (too lazy to log onto yoshiki oops)
One of the first things Sasaki Yuzuki asked when she woke up in the dead blog was "Is Yoshiki Shouda here?"
That was one of the things she was looking forward to upon death. Getting to see Yoshiki again and playing. Much to her disappointment, they didn't get to see each other and do that duet, but the thought was always present. She didn't quite understand how she grew so fond of someone in such a short time, but his presence always stuck with her even after he died.
Couldn't really bring herself to go to the wall after that.

Nice dude who cooks sometimes. Sasaki knew next to nothing about Kezao other than he was pretty polite and respectful. Of course, she was still squeamish around him all things considered, but heck at least he respected boundaries. To be honest, she hardly remembered his name. Just that he brought food sometimes and made soup for Airi which she appreciated from the dead.
