Night Guard // {Closed Starter for pumpkintanaka}
"H, hey! I can be brave! Y, ya know…’round machines anyway." Souda retorted, sweat beading on his forehead as he gripped Gundam’s hand tightly. "Besides! I only gotta work here for five days."
He led the way into the cramped Security Office and sunk down into one of the squeaky desk chairs. He smiled a bit, his irritation slowly melting away as he made himself comfortable. “Siddown, ya dork.” He patted the other chair, but stopped smiling when the phone rang suddenly. He looked over it in confusion.
Who was calling?
Maybe it was his boss? Or…his imagination ran wild and he gulped nervously.
"That is… fair, I suppose." Gundam sat down abruptly in the chair, and a comically loud squeak emanated from it, making him scowl.
Upon hearing the phone ring, he raised an eyebrow slightly. “Demons of the underworld, the summoning call… the sound is but a beacon, drawing them to this place…” A cough. “…What I mean is, that phone is most certainly not for me, so you would do well to answer it, I believe.” Gundam folded his arms across his chest and tapped his foot on the floor, spinning himself in the chair ever so slightly. At that moment, he looked like a bizarre cross between a brooding supervillain and a bored ten year old.
"A-alright, alright! Just...don't talk while I'm on the phone, okay? Otherwise, if it's the boss, he might find out that you're here." Souda pleaded quietly before taking a slow breath and answering the phone. A grin plastered on his face, he greeted, "Hey, this is Kumazawa Pizza--oh It's a voice recordin'."
Curiously, he set the phone on speaker and hung up the handset, listening to the message that played. It seemed pretty normal, though he was pretty sure he heard something about dismemberment and death? He blinked and swallowed, nervousness clawing at his stomach. Suddenly he really didn't feel so great about this job...but, hey. It might just be morbid humor!
Yeah.
Definitely--wait, what? Did the man on the phone just say something about is the mascots saw him, they'd think that he was an endoskeleton without a suit? And would shove him into one?! He saw those things - they were fill of metal and wires...if he got shoved into one of those things, he'd definitely die!
"Whoa, wait, what was that?!" Souda yelped, eyes going wide. "Th, this is some sick little joke, man! Is that the kinda sense of humor people get when they work at family places like this?!"
