Careless [Open RP]
"Hmm," Komaeda tilted his head in faux thought. "Maybe a bit, but my voice is a little moreâŠ" Breathy, sickly, wheezy, quavering. "Ah, I canât describe it, really." He lied, with a chuckle at the end of his words.
A plastic smile formed on his face as he glanced over to the smaller boy. âDo you want to hear it? Itâs probably not that exciting though.â He cleared his throat. âWell, on my first day of school here, the academy messed up my schedule, so I was talking to the teacher about it. After that was over, I left the room when, all of a sudden, this girl comes crashing into me all of a sudden, hugging onto my arm and giggling until she realized she got the wrong person.â Komaeda laughed, then his grey eyes flitted over to Naegi. âShe was trying to surprise you, she mustâve been waiting there for you to come out of the room, but she got me instead.â He smiled crookedly. âAnyway, when she realized it, this look of terror crossed over her face, and she got really flustered.â Another chuckle. âItâs not everyday you see an idol lose her composure. Well, then again you donât really meet an idol everyday. I guess Iâm just lucky, huh?â He grinned. âSheâs really sweet though, she showed me around the school and everything! Youâre the lucky one, having such a great friend.â
"Hm, if you say so." Komaedaâs smile lessened. "Well, if you need anything, donât hesitate to ask." He felt like he owed something to the boy. People didnât just go out of their way to help someone without wanting something in return, did they? Favours were always called in, and this would probably be no exception.
"Yeah, describing your own voice can be sort of tricky. I heard somewhere that you hear your own voice differently than everyone else hears it." He didn't remember exactly where he had found that little fun fact, but it was something to think about. "Maybe we should ask someone else if we sound similar. I mean, Sayaka certainly seemed to think so! We could take a little poll or something!" Naegi started to laugh upon picturing Komaeda and himself running around and asking their fellow students if their voices sounded alike. It was sort of a weird idea.
Naegi smiled as Komaeda told the story. Komaeda was smiling too, but there was something a bit off about it. His mouth was smiling, but his eyes were not. How curious. Komaeda seemed like a very open person, but Naegi couldn't shake the feeling that he was hiding something. Wait a second- he probably shouldn't be so suspicious of someone he'd just met. He was probably being overly paranoid.
"Thanks for sharing the story! Sayaka must have been pretty embarrassed when that happened," he said with a grin. Komaeda was right though: Naegi was very lucky to have her as a friend.
"Thanks again for offering, but I really am okay in terms of favours. If I'm ever in a pinch, I'll be sure to let you know!" Komaeda seemed a bit dubious at Naegi's refusal of a favour. In Naegi's opinion, Komaeda did not really owe him anything. It seemed sort of weird to expect to get a favour back after doing something nice. Besides, weren't people supposed to help their friends out in situations like this? Hmm, were he and Komaeda even really friends? They had just met after all. Even so, Naegi had a feeling that he and Komaeda had the potential to become good friends. They just had to get to know each other better! Â
